your first post should be your completed character, please include your maneuver modifiers on your character sheet.
i will set a small prelude for each character as they Settle in to the group and get to know one another.



XP will accumulate 1 XP a day from the date of character sheet
2 Bonus xp a week (9 xp a week)
4 Bonus xp a Lunar Cycle (4 weeks in a "lunar cycle" regardless of actual month) (9x4=36+4 = 40 total per month)

Participation in Street Fighter Matches will Result in Additional Experience (Tournaments)

Losing a match = 3 XP
Winning a match = 1 XP
Drawing a match = 2 XP

Attribute and Ability can only be bought up once per Story (essentially once a month real dates, unless a story ends sooner)
Techniques can be bought up from 1-5
Power Points can be freely bought
Techniques above 5 are subject to the one a month rule with training

Humans have Attribute and Skill limits of 5
Garou and other Bete have human limits.

Success Reduces the Multiplier by 1 (Eg ability usually costs CR x 2, with successful instruction it costs CR x 1) to a minimum of 1 XP
Unsuccessful Instruction the student can still learn but they pay full xp cost.

Library Background (or Mentor for Mages)
Library can be used to lower the cost of learning Sphere Magick, Rotes, or Lore.
Hedge Mages can use this on Hedge Magic Paths or Rituals also.
Each Rating reduces the Final XP cost by 1. to a minimum of 1 XP
this takes 1 week of Study (total time 7 x 8 = 56 hours of Subjective time)

only one Roll can be attempted per time you spend XP. No Extended Rolls allowed.





in order to gain a permanent renown you need 10 temporary renown.
it takes a week or the end of a story for those temporary points to become 1 permanent dot.
when gaining a permanent dot, all temporary is removed.

okay its pretty simple to resolve. choose a division to participate in, the fighters are usually already signed up by the manager's assistant if it is a tourney. when the time comes they will announce your name and the name of your opponent. both are expected to bow to the judges and (optionally bow to each other) a round lasts 10 combat rounds. if you lose all of your health, you are considered knocked out. if you knock out all of your opponents health he is considered KO. if both KO each other it is a draw. players can offer a draw also. if neither player is dropped after 10 combat turns, whoever has the most health is declared the winner.

turns begin by all participants choosing their combat maneuver(in a spoiler) and listing their speed (not in a spoiler). any rage, blood or chi type expenditures are announced here.
the gameplay begins with the slowest beginning first. at any Step in the process a faster fighter can interrupt to take their turn.
also note a player can spend 1 willpower to abort to any "Abort" action (everyone starts with Jump and Block both are abort maneuvers)
slow player begins by taking movement, if any.
if he finishes his movement he can begin his attack:
announcing his target
revealing his maneuver.
Attacker rolls to hit (Dex + Technique) (additional successes above 1 are added to the damage pool)
determine total damage pool (as stated in the maneuver description)
(usually Str + Technique + Maneuver modifier) (animal hybrid technique use their background in place of technique) or Focus Techniques are (Int + Technique + Maneuver)
subtract target soak from damage pool.
roll any remaining dice vs difficulty (6 usually but can be lower due to situation)
apply damage to target.

Extra Actions are handled after every has acted Once. if multiple people have extra actions, they handle them just like normal actions according to speed.
magickal actions are +0 speed (dex + wits) a mage interrupted while casting, who takes damage have increased difficulties on their arete roll ((typically botching their effect (concentration merit prevents increased difficulty)))
usually it is safer to cast magic after enemy has taken their turn, all magic used in combat is typically fast cast unless a rote is used for combat (such as a Do rote)

BackGround History:
Born in April of 1996 exact date is unknown as the child was born on the streets in Savannah Ga. at the Age of 6 was taken in by a kind old woman that had the child call her Grandmother She took Bera in and give the child the Name of speaker to the earth spirits and took the time to teach bera the ways of the spirits along with medicine and other skills. Bera learned all that Grandmother could teach and started to watch informational Videos along with martial arts movies. having discovered Bruce Lee's movies Bera begged barrowed or stole every book or Video on bruce lee's style of Martial arts. at the age of 17 (3 months ago) when Bera's First change happened Bera was rather startled to find that the sweet old Lady that had been taking care of orphan this whole time was a werewolf as well...lets just say the exit was quick and no good byes were said As comming to grips with their new found abilitys.

EPILOGUE
After several weeks of gathering together, most of the initial shock and misunderstandings within the group seem to be quelled. as you have become aware, it seems all of you have a common trait, everyone either knows JKD or is beginning study of JKD from some previous style. rumors from the Staff imply that a grand tourney has started, and each of you are handed a cell phone, with all of the pc's numbers inputted, additionally it has the hotline for reporting match results. you will learn that the Tourney is on-going and neverending known as the "Street Fighting Circuit", anyone can challenge anyone, anywhere. non streetfighters must challenge an existing streetfighter to join the circuit. all match results must be reported, win or lose.


Staff: Sensei Jon Rosen

5'4 brown hair, blue eyes, tanned skin, about 25, tends to wear a red ghi. his demeanor is calm, but there is a subtle intensity behind his movements. it is known that his favorite food is pizza, and does not like soap operas. his wife and daughter died of a rare "Mutoid cancer" he has swore an oath to avenge their deaths. His twin sister Jonni works as a chauffeur. known to possess Chi Kung Healing.

"I am Sifu Rosen, some of you already have respected masters, and I respect that. while i am no master i have learned much and can pass along my teachings, i studied under many different masters and have learned many styles and weapons. if you desire a sparring partner, you can find me to arrange it, or you may spar among yourselves, i do know Chi Kung Healing should any of you become seriously injured."

the sheer excitement oozes from this man, nothing is average. everything is an extreme either black, white, in or out. commonly dressed as a hawaiian tourist it really makes you wonder how he got this position to begin with...

Jin would stand with the others if not a bit further back as Rosen introduced himself, crossing his arms as he did while quietly observing the man. Jin was currently wearing the same thing he had worn since the day he met the rest of the group being a completely white colored, monk style robe which would cover his entire body with a large hood to pull over his head, also wearing a mask covering his face leaving nothing of his appearance to be visible. He even wore white gloves so one could not even see his hand if one would shake it. He had traveled very far to get here on the order or his Sensei and he had set off from his home with slight discomfort. He knew his Sensei had something planned for him to discover from this trip and he could feel it too but meeting the outside world other than the temple and the village nearby was quite overwhelming. And that he somehow managed to make his way over there could be considered a miracle due to him having absolutely no clue how modern technology worked. But he did manage to get himself a boat ride over the ocean to his destination through sheer luck and a bit of asking around.

But one thing that helped is that he would meet Kiatem some time after he had gotten of the boat and was aimlessly roaming around cities trying to somehow orient himself and after that everything went at least relatively smooth. He barely remembered her tho as she had probably changed quite a bit since the time when she was training with his sensei. He thought that she was gone for good when she left the temple on her quest for revenge which he of course knew very little about, only that she held a deep grudge against something or someone.

Arriving with Kiatem to their apparently new "manager" that his sensei had spoke of he would meet the rest of the group and the managers workers at his establishment. But how he knew this person was unknown to him but it was not like he had much choice in the matter. The group of martial artists that he would then meet who coincidentally practiced the same style as him was quite strange to behold. A multi-limbed human more or less with a rather strange aura about him, a gargoyle like female with a similar aura to the multi-limbed human, a tall girl with an aura that is nothing he has seen on a human before which would be quite strange to him considering she looked like she was nothing special, at least at first glance.

During the weeks around these group of people Jin had been mainly been on his own and training by himself tho he would try to spend some time with Kiatem and maybe catch up a bit on what had been going on lately. And he was also quite curious to see what she had learned after she had left the temple and would have potentially sparred with her a few times if she would accept it.

When then Rosen had finished introducing himself Jin would take the opportunity to do the same. "You may call me Jin...It's a pleasure to meet you..." He said as he took a step forward and would give him a short bow. Having been told to always be polite no matter what your initial thoughts of the man would be. Jin was however not very fond of the fact of being taught by a mere human who was in no way near the abilities of his Sensei. Not really seeing him even capable of doing so as of yet.

"these usual tourney types use double elimination rules. there is a duelist division, or the freestyle division, as none of you 'git enough honor reputation to join the traditional fights. but somehow i think that suits both of you just fine. you can participate both in team and solo matches, but 2 losses and you are disqualified from advancement in either. i would recommend you go out there n 'git them ears of yours wet as best you can. its the only way to learn is to fight."

OOC: 2 players decide to deal with the tourney, on raidcall. i will post results of their matches. as a result of the raidcall session

Bera and Jin agreed to take the first match, while viktoria and mr obertus stood back to watch and cheer. they faced off against a 5 man chinese kung-fu team. 2 of the team were badly injured and did not field. so they matched up vs 3 kung fu chinese fighters all of them uninjured.

the chinese team moved up first in a line, protecting each other. bera despite her obvious agg wound in her left hand, blurred into motion moved up and used power uppercut on the foe in the middle dizzing him cleanly. jin stood back and put up his guard. the 3rd foe advanced carelessly on jin. the first foe stepped in and used triple strike, wounding bera. bera leaped into the air landing like a predator in return (Air smash) also dizzying the foe. with heroic speed jin interrupts the incoming triplestrike with a roundhouse kick, dizzying the foe.

with all 3 foes dizzied, they honorably cheered at the crowd as they recovered to their senses.

the 3 foes take a unified stance, eager to show off a well rehersed team combo "triple strike". bera steps forward and suplexes foe number 2, knocking him clean out of the fight. jin jumps up and roundhouse kicks the 3rd foe, knocking him out as well. the first foe, unhindered concerts his force of will, and executes an amazing triple strike, knocking bera out in that flurry of blows (2 punches 1 kick) bleeding profusely on the mat. jin pauses to give the first foe a chance, watching him to raise his guard. leaping to the air jin roundhouse kick sends that foe to the mat, bleeding from the ribs, a clean knock out.

PC Team wins (+1 XP). afterwards sifu leans down using chi kung healing on bera healing all but the self inflicted agg wound on her left hand.

Always a dedicated patriot Evgeny Bagrov committed to serving his country wherever he could. For a time he competed in the ring, demonstrating his martial arts in and out of the country. After that he served in the country's secret service, acting as a member of the Spetsnaz and dedicated himself to the needs of others guarding various officials in and out of the country.
One of these missions forced him into retirement when an injury damaged him permanently. Combined with slowing skills due to his age Evgeny opted to direct his attention towards training and educating the next generation. Mostly working within the official sporting fields he paid little attention to street fights. In his own mind they were nothing more the sullying of true martial skills in an unappreciative arena.
Eventually though he began to hear of heroes from his own country competing in the ring. Not least of which was the famed man known as Zangief. Now there was a proper hero of the country, a demonstration of traditional training at its best. Impressed by how far the fame of a street fighter could reach across the world Evgeny began to focus his attention on that stage. Knowing his time as a contender was long gone he instead began to turn his attention towards managing fighters. Limiting himself at first to Russian athletes he eventually branched out, realising that the fame of his fighters no matter their nationality would become his also.

A man clearly once physically imposing but now past his prime in his late fifties Evgeny Bagrov bore the scars of his work well though the dignity he held was somewhat ruined by his eyepatch having the Russian flag on. He dressed in a dark suit in the manner of one accustomed to this and habitually scanned the room he was in even as he addressed those he spoke to.

Which in this case were Bera and Jin. Eyeing the two as they entered he nodded towards them with a smile of approval, "Very good fight. I watch it on the trip over. You two make definite good combination and should make for crowd pleaser. Most audiences love that honourable stuff, reminds them that street fight or not some people still have their rules."

He nods at the injury on Bera's hands still untouched by healing, "You might have stayed conscious if you'd gone in healthy though. Any problems I need to know of outside the ring? Someone attempting match fixing? Because if that's happening there are ways to...deal with that."

"I appeased a war spirit a few days ago It will be healed with in the week (took 14 health levels of damage even uninjured it would have put me down with 4 aggrivated damage) and I heal quickly from most wounds." she shrugs and applys a new bandage to her left hand.

Injurying yourself training or due to other matters is not something we can prepare for but if you are going to get yourself injured talking to the spirits then that affects your performance. Perhaps a match calendar so people can see what should be planned and work in their free time with that in mind. Of course your free time will be a bit less free now that I am back and can write up a proper training schedule for you all."

There was a glint in Evgeny's eyes at the mention of a training schedule that would worry anyone who knew him. Everyone else would have to learn.

After all we want to make best use of our time, make you all into excellent fighters. You all win big in the fights, crowd love you, get famous, get rich. All that comes easy but we get you trained properly, by excellent coaches, then you go beyond that."

"Lest not forget however that we still have the solo matches left in this first round of the tournament..." Jin would then say as he had been staying quiet and listening to Bera and Evgeny talking. Taking a step forward Jin would then give Evgeny a short bow as a greeting and as a sign of respect before speaking yet again. "My Sensei said that I was to seek you out specifically and that I am to join you for whatever you decide to set us up with. Tho might I ask just how you and my Sensei is acquainted?" He asked politely as he would rise from his bow. Not being quite sure what to make of this man. Telling from his aura he was nothing out of the ordinary like the rest of the group and he had always had the impression that his master did not know or would spend much time with humans without any extraordinary talents. Or rather had any other contacts outside of the temple.

After all none of you are Russian. Trying to train you in middle of tournament without time to rest would be far too much. Eventually though you'll perhaps be close to Russian level of determination. Maybe light routine between fights."

"As for your sensei I not tell you that. My last job had a few things I had to do I can't tell you about. State secrets da?. But don't worry, he told me to watch out for you, teach you best way to go in the world and not let bad people take advantage of talented competitor. Instead I help you make most of your skills."

Duelist division exhibition match in one of the most daring we bring you one of the first of Gaia's defenders to step forward to a bold new age. born of sky and earth tempered with blood and fury we present to you this match.
Dust Storm vs Indigo!

Dust Storm aka Viktoria Steps to the ring, a slightly raised platform, the air thick with the smell of sweat and a slight hint of blood. the crowd gasps as she steps to the ring. beautiful chiseled pink, white and black marbled skin, despite her inhuman appearance, wearing a pair of jean cut-off shorts and a white sports bra top, her wings tucked behind her. Ooh and Aah can be heard from the crowd.

Indigo appearing mostly human despite violet skin, makes a rude gesture to the crowd, wearing a traditional ghi; albeit indigo colored. leaving no clue as to their style, they stand waiting patiently for the bell.

ding.

indigo rushes forward, dust storm holding their ground, only the slight shimmer of her skin barely visible shows that she did anything at all(Elemental Skin), clearly much faster than dust cloud in an athletic display of footwork lands a mighty kick on dust storm's chiseled forehead. dust storm does not even look phased. a loud crack is heard from indigo's foot. indigo interrupts dust storm with a very aikido style hip toss(Throw).... except dust storm doesn't even move. Dust storm steps forward, and with a simple grab knocks out her opponent.

Dust Storm is declared the winner. she blows a kiss to the crowd and steps out of the ring.

After a while of resting Jin felt rather restless. That last battle was not much of a challenge to him and he felt his body still itch with the urge to further prove himself. Tho keeping his eagerness down to a low level as he had been taught to not become to hasty and drown his senses in the chaos of battle. Either way he thought he was ready to take on his first battle in the solo tournament and so he would take aid of their managers assistant yet again for her to set everything up.

alright, i'll resolve your first solo matches, and post results here from raidcall.

a very extremely large man enters the ring 7' tall, and pushing 400lbs. easily a sanbo fighter with a stylish russian appearance.
the big russian cheers on the crowd, as jin cautiously approaches, covering half the distance between them. the big russian readies his guard. jin leaps forward with a tail slash injuring the russian. the big russian steps forward grabs him by the head, and smashes jin in the face for 12 seconds(brain cracker), barely escaping the big russian's grasp. jin maneuvers behind the russian, thwacking him with his slashing tail. russian spins around grabs jin, squeezing him but to no avail. jin leaps behind the russian, clawing him drawing blood. the russian howls and takes a defensive position. the big russian grabs jin again and punches him in the head. jin claws the big russian and he collapses. the judges declare jin the winner.

the crowd really loved this match, lots of cheering and excitement.

Bera will tend to her wound and speak with the sifu about agility training and about the opponants she has already faced. Se will go to every match she can (can be back grounded) to watch her oppanaints moves and see what she can expect from them.

do you mean athletics technique, or attribute dexterity?
either way the the PC/NPCs can teach what they know. however only the trainers/sensei actually possess instruction to give xp cost reductions. although a pc with instruction could also help another pc get a discount.
i believe you will be sitting on 4 xp (2 xp from 2 match wins, and 2 xp from days of time)


watching various other matches you will witness a lot of different styles, not very many special maneuvers. mainly basics performed in a different way.

arrive at the tourney at about 7am, mill around watching others fight, you finish your matches by around 10am, you watch other fighters fight matches till about 1pm, you leave to go back to common room 1hour bus trip, meditate for 2 hours. 4pm. still almost 2 hours till sundown.

Nodding in approval at the success of each fighter in turn Evgeny noted how each played out before speaking with the staff, discussing potential training schemes with them for each fighter off what they saw.

Satisfied with the results so far though aware worse was still to come he ran over the various results carefully, noting their current standing. When he got the call though the manager actually grinned slightly. There might be some better potential for a result from this. Taking the time to carefully draft a summary of events so far and neglecting to mention the tip off he had had in the recording he ensured that copy was circulated amongst the staff then advised about the potential of the tourney being a setup verbally.

"So few decent competitions these days. Seems someone always determined to ruin the integrity of martial arts contest! But it will be okay, we keep our eyes out. You see something weird we spread word. Find demons we give them great kicking and make sure that even if tournament cancels team comes out safe." Ensuring word filters from them down to whichever team members they are dealing with the most the manager went on with the rest of his day carefully, taking the time to talk with ther atheletes and competitors alike, gauging the arena, mood of the crowd and potential for the next day's events.

players can spend the xp they earn at any time.

btw evgeny i will give you a slight variant to the xp rate of gain since you are not fighting. every time one of your fighters participate in a tourney (not every match but just overall), you gain 10 xp. so far that is 40 xp you will be sitting on (2 npcs + 2 pcs) you may spend your exp to improve npcs(staff members) or yourself as you choose.

demons are nasty business, they usually take a bit of planning to take down, and a good bit of preparation. you might want to ask the PCs or use further contacts to get a hold of some stuff to make the fight a little easier.

if you can get 2 successes, you will find someone to loan you some true faith holy water, if you get more successes additional items can be found, or singular item will be more powerful.

Jin being quite exhausted by his last battle decides to take a short rest while Bera goes to look at the other combatants battling. But after about a 20 minute long nap Jin would suddenly awake and even tho no one could see his face it seemed like he had discovered something during his slumber. At this time he would hear from Evgeny about the coming dangers ahead but Jin did not seem all to phased about the fact as he would reply. "I see... A demon huh? I can vaguely remember my master speaking about such beings at one point... But I promise I will try and stop this thing no matter what. Sensei has told me whenever I should meet such evil that I should show it no mercy if it intends to harm innocent people." He said with a confident tone in his voice. "Now if you excuse me I must do some preparations..." He said as he would stand up and bow before leaving the arena and asked the driver to take him home.

Once he would come back he would then shut himself in to his room where he would spend a while alone training on calming his body and spirit before then spending some time sparring in order to increase the efficiency of his defense. If one would watch it would seem that Jin had picked up some new tricks causing him to increase his skill comparing him from only a few hours back. After he was done he would return to the arena where he would then find that Kiatem had arrived at the arena. "Oh so you are back?...It is nice to see you again Kiatem." He said with a smile even tho one could not see his face due to it being covered by his hood and mask. "I never properly thanked you for bringing me here when you found me roaming aimlessly around town. I was quite lucky that you were going to the same person Sensei had told me to find. Fate sure has its ways of bringing old friends back together. Even tho I was very young at the time I still remember you from our time together with sensei. Even tho you have changed quite a bit." He continued as he would give her a short bow to greet her.

Napping peacefully...... your sifu appears in your dreams, berating you for slacking in your meditation. despite the verbal thrashing he gives some very useful tips, while contemplating the tips, you are attacked repeatedly until you learn to guard yourself more effectively, he makes you very aware of the holes in your guard. he makes you aware that you need to study the basics with your weapon.


each weapon has a base amount of damage bonus or speed bonus/penalty.
the basics are simply use the basic punch modifiers, but add the weapon's speed or damage bonus
Damage is Strength + Weapon Technique + Weapon Bonus Damage + Maneuver modifier

4 successes is pretty big deal. that's enough to get a handful of weapons/firearms blessed with True Faith. (Faith Rating 2)

"you misunderstand. its not the religion these demons fear, its the faith of those with unshakable belief. it doesn't matter truly what one has faith in, only how strongly that belief is. i have seen first hand just how effective blessed armaments are..... you might find this hard to believe but i saw an Incubus beaten so badly with a washcloth that was soaked in soaked in the stuff it melted his face clean off. just make sure you have a handle on things, lest the demons tempt your fighters."

typically enemies are 6 spaces apart at the start of match (5 spaces in between, 1 space or hex represents 1 yard/meter) and you can attack adjacent hexes, except grabs which require you to enter their space.
i did write the combat rules in the first post, it is fairly straight forward.
your sensory magic will show that your enemy has 3 strength 3 dex 3 stamina, and has 11 health levels
your enemy is on speed 8Jump + move 3 spaces up if you are faster you can choose to interrupt him at any point during his turn or you can move after he moves up 3 spaces
if you move up the 2 spaces and jab, please roll dex + punch to hit (diff 6) ( any extra successes above 1 will add to the damage dice pool) subtract 3 (enemy soak) and roll that many dice difficulty 6. remember that 1's cancel successes. if you total 4 or more damage your enemy is dizzied for 1 round.

you will need to send someone to pick up the 5 vials of blessed water, which as they explained will bless the weapons they are applied to.

Faith rating 2. (2 dice of countermagic or 2 dice of holy damage)
each vial contains enough for 1 dose.
50 ammunition or 1 weapon (melee) could be blessed with 1 vial of water.
i've assumed you sent the driver to pick them up, and now have them in your possession. it is up to you to distribute them to the other PCs or to bless weapons and give them those.
weapons will remain blessed until the story ends (1 months time or until something else happens to despoil them)

i understand that you have a combo, but combos are played over successive turns.
example your combo of jab + power uppercut + fierce punch

first turn you play jab,
second you play power uppercut
3rd you play fierce punch.
not all in one turn. i hope this helps to make this more smooth. the benefits of a combo are +2 speed for every move in the combo after the initial maneuver (in this case the power uppercut and the fierce punch.

Satisfied with another successfully concluded fight Evgeny rose as the applause was done, noting with stisfaction the text on his phone confirming the arrival of liquid religion. He personally held a deep seated suspicion of anything called holy water that was not faintly alcoholic in some way shape or form but knew better than to argue with results.

Noting the assortment of less the favourable seeming types lurking in or near the build he briefly considered greeting them then opted not to. Anyone favouring that many archaic weapons in public either was part of the local group of the SCA or unlikely to be very rational.

Instead he hauled inside, with more than a slight amount of assistance, the vials and and an assorted variety of weapons. Knowing most fighters he dragged along predominately melee choices but dropepd a couple of firearms in the options before depositing it in the team's room. By the time the last match had worn down and everyone had chance to get cleaned off he was waiting with a selection of armaments and five vials of blessed water.

"Excellent, even more success for everyone. Keep this up and I will rethink the bear training. It might not be needed!" Cheerfully he brandished one of the vials in the air, "Now we prepare for demons. Got blessed water right here, consecrated by at least one saint I understand. Pick a weapon, get it blessed and have it close to hand. No waving it around outside of this general area, police are quite reasonable about street fights but you run down the street swinging it you get shot lots of times. And I dock your pay."

Satisfied with another successfully concluded fight Evgeny rose as the applause was done, noting with stisfaction the text on his phone confirming the arrival of liquid religion. He personally held a deep seated suspicion of anything called holy water that was not faintly alcoholic in some way shape or form but knew better than to argue with results.

Noting the assortment of less the favourable seeming types lurking in or near the build he briefly considered greeting them then opted not to. Anyone favouring that many archaic weapons in public either was part of the local group of the SCA or unlikely to be very rational.

Instead he hauled inside, with more than a slight amount of assistance, the vials and and an assorted variety of weapons. Knowing most fighters he dragged along predominately melee choices but dropepd a couple of firearms in the options before depositing it in the team's room. By the time the last match had worn down and everyone had chance to get cleaned off he was waiting with a selection of armaments and five vials of blessed water.

"Excellent, even more success for everyone. Keep this up and I will rethink the bear training. It might not be needed!" Cheerfully he brandished one of the vials in the air, "Now we prepare for demons. Got blessed water right here, consecrated by at least one saint I understand. Pick a weapon, get it blessed and have it close to hand. No waving it around outside of this general area, police are quite reasonable about street fights but you run down the street swinging it you get shot lots of times. And I dock your pay."


i made a slight mistake on the npc which made the holy water.... i double checked their stats. the faith is blessed with true faith rating 9, not 2.
also any reasonable melee weapon you could have acquired also. just say which weapons you want (ask the rest of the PCs).



Once the pcs are settled and ready, i will begin the midnight encounter.

OOC: resolve handing out gear and any other stuff done for readiness. and post a ready.

After congratulating his friend on her victory and heading back to base camp he would look at the assortment of gear their manager had brought in and would inspect them carefully. Taking a liking to the Katana he had brought he would take the weapon and a bottle of this holy water and inspecting it for a while. "...So coating our weapons in this will cause it to harm demons...I will see to it that it is done. Thank you Evgeny. I will be in my room and prepare so once you are ready to leave please come and get me." And with that he leaves and shuts himself in to his room where he spends some time meditating and getting a feel for the blade as well as blessing it with the water he had been given.

You need to actually pick a weapon to bless it with the water .__." It will look kinda weird to have you stand there staring at the flask for several minutes or whatever you now are doing xD

Scene: "Demons are more awful than i was told"

at the stroke of midnight, the sound of wind picks up to near jet take off volumes briefly before dying down, electronics sputter and fade out, the smell of sulphur fills the air. a very large vortex opens in the sky and hundreds of translucent shapes flutter out of it, many fly off not staying for the conflict. a few of them engage the nearby groups.

1 large creature lands near your group with 8 humanoids standing in front of it, it utters something in a language that makes your skin crawl, pointing at the collective group of heroes.
the aura of fear surrounding this demon is tangible, it is hard to even consider displeasing it, much less attacking directly.
the 8 vile creatures lurch forward, with the obvious demon standing behind them glowering.

"We will enjoy this!" the eight speak as one.

the group of eights' bodies merge and grow, fusing into something truly horrible.

"Behold, my masterpiece!" the demon speaks in english, slurring his speech.

As the eight become one the large demon takes to the air flying up 25m, leaving his aura out of range.

go ahead and roll your attacks to hit difficulty 4 (since creature is distracted trying to finish transforming.


target has the following
14 soak vs bashing and halves damage after soak
14 soak vs lethal.
0 soak vs faith damage (target takes double damage after soak)

most hits will likely do 1D of damage of a lesser type, except faith

to those of you using blessed weapons roll the 9 dice from the faith separate (just 9 dice difficulty 6)

the demon is flying in the air.

the 8 collective minions are in the process of coagulating (2/3 turns spent coagulating) they will finish the coagulation process this round(on the next round it can act freely)

You need to specify and action...Tell what speed you are on first of all and then you need to choose a target. The demon flying in the air 25 meter or something up or the small ones trying to morph in to another big thing.

not exactly a tourney, freestyle combat works well (although you can still use maneuvers, and will do much more damage if you do even basic strikes)
