Magic Devotion feat

This feat seems very high on the cool factor, but it seems like its kind of bad otherwise?

Is there some way to add damage/uses to this that would make it less terrible that I'm missing?

Not really.

Sure, you could burn turn attempts to power extra uses, or take multiple iterations of the feat if you really want it. I wouldn't bother.

What if I treat this feat Iron Chef style? What can be done to use this thing?

Also - am I reading it right in that it doesn't get to 2d6 damage until 4th level?

only time I have ever seen it was on a level 1(2) wizard, helped in the "not running out of things to do" department at that level, but he probably would have just been better off taking a reserve feat. (not sure if you can qualify to take any of those at level 1 off the top of my head or not)

Also yes, 2d6 at level 4, 3d6 at level 6 etc.
