This guy is an experiment in getting as much resist all as possible while still being effective (somewhat - I think).

He's very sticky (the combination of Combat Challenge and Blurred Step I'm using here has already been used by Mommywasanorc in his Ioun Grey Stone Marker build), he's tough as heck (he's got resist all 34 all the time versus marked opponents), and he can completely nullify an enemy using Intellect Snap+Dizzying Mace.

It started as an experiment in "how much resist all can I pump out of a build" and ended as this mix between my resist all machine and the Ioun Grey Stone Marker.

Also, this build is actually playable during all levels if you can buy a Bracelet of Mental Might for your first Fighter attack - Come and Get It doesn't actually rely on Strength to work.

Resist overlaps, not stacks.

Yeah, I'm seeing only resist all 8, from your epic destiny due to resistances not stacking. I haven't looked through everything, but I'm reasonably sure that I saw everything that granted perpetual or on-hit resists and didn't see anything that gave more than 8. The Iron Body Ki Focus also gives 8, but since you've got that from your ED anyway it's pretty much pointless.

one thing also to keep in mind is that the key to true durability is to stack different kinds of survival buffs.

like insubstantial+good temp generation. rather then just going for one to the exclusion of all others.

Wait, I thought resists stacked.

He's still sitting at resist all 16 from Ki Focus+Honored Foe (yeah, they're technically temps but nevermind).

Wait, I thought resists stacked.

As far as I am aware, the only resist that stacks is the swarm druid's, since it is technically not a real resist (instead, it is a "reduce all damage from melee and ranged attacks by X"). There might be other sources with that kind of language you could leverage.

Wait, wait, wait.

Iron Body Ki Focus+Swarm Druid+Multimarking Options+Honored Foe... 24 resist all. 10 away from what I hoped to get, but good nonetheless.

Does anyone know a background that gives you proficiency in Ki Focus? I'm kind of locked at the moment with a Druid|Fighter Hybrid, and that needs a Weretheme to work.

Insubstantial, Mirror Darkly, some cleric powers, etc. There are several ways to get half damage effects. One is a blessing (alternate reward) that allows you to take half damage when the foe can't see you (not bad if you have lots of ways of becoming unseen).

The great part of that is that it stacks with the sheer amount of "resist all" I'm trying to achieve

I don't like this thread.

It has the wrong title.

Clearly this build is called the ohmwrecker.

Meh, I'm more of a DotA fan really.

Ah, didn't notice it was an item in some game. Ok, need another ohm pun, stat.

It is not, I didn't actually name it after DotA, especially because the "ultraresistanceitem" is a reference to D&D, actually (Heart of the Tarrasque).

Also, the Ohmwrecker is both a person and an item in LoL, according to Google, so that probably explains why I got everything wrong.

Easiest way: MC Warlock, Utility level 10 power swap for Ethereal Step (at-will teleport 1 as a move action). Add teleport enhancers as desired. Take the divine boon which causes you to take half damage when you are invisible.
