Would this function as a way to ignore the alignment restrictions of Turning/Rebuking Undead?

You make a cleric that is neutral and then selects to channel positive energy for turning or rebuking, it states that it cannot be reversed. Then you turn evil in alignment, but you continue to turn undead because it cannot be reversed.

I suppose for RAW, that would be correct. And it would be interesting fluff-wise if a Cleric followed an evil deity who despised undead.

By RAW, it is true that the choice cannot be reversed, but also by RAW, you cease to be a neutral cleric once you change alignment and are forced to channel negative energy. If your character ever changes back to neutral, by RAW your original choice is reapplied.

By strict DM RP, if you channel positive energy as a neutral cleric, you are considered to be "good" and a change in alignment to evil will cause you to become an ex-cleric.

By RAI, it can be reasoned that you would simply channel based on your original choices and convictions.

The RAW reading makes absolutely no sense, where as the DM RP reading makes RP sense (but theres no RAW support), and the RAI makes mechanical sense with the choice / conviction was supposed to mean.
