((I will godmode in here, but as a DM, so basically you tell me what you do and I will tell you the results of that, it's to keep things interesting.))

There have been reports off bandits along the countryside, thankfully the Warrior's Guild is here to save the day!

Suryc goes to the nearest village to ask about where the bandit camp might be.

Deus Mortus

No one knows, but the attacks have been near the edge of the forest.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 01:03 PM
That seems a good place to go. Suryc goes into the forest.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 01:05 PM
The forest is a large place and you don't immediately see any clues to find the bandits.

Hivemind Ghost

Suryc taps the shield once.

Captain, do you have any data on the victims of the bandits attacks? Do they particularly attack any sort of people?

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 01:31 PM
((First one to actually use it!))

Hmmm, yeah, they usually attack soft targets who look rich enough, like a young noblemen out for a ride or a merchant with only a few guards, things like that.

Hivemind Ghost

Suryc leaves the woods for now, and looks for a tailor in the nearby villages.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 01:36 PM
There are a few, but most of them are only capable of making simple farmer's clothing, due to a lack of good materials.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 01:39 PM
Suryc asks around about anyone fairly rich in the nearby area.

Deus Mortus

There is a large estate in between the villages which is the house of the duke who rules this patch of land.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 01:57 PM
Suryc goes to the house and checks out how well it's guarded.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 02:01 PM
There are about two dozen guards patrolling the lands surrounding the building and there are probably more inside.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 02:12 PM
Suryc sighs. He wouldn't like to fight his way in through that many guards, at least not for a few clothes.

He walks towards the building. When he's stopped, he asks how much the duke would sell a suit for.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 02:20 PM
((Who says he's stopped, just keep it limited to what your character does.))

The guard shrugs and tells him to ask one of the servants at the door.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 02:21 PM
Suryc does just that.

Ask one of the servants at the door, that is.

Hello. I'm looking for a suit, but none of the tailors in this area can make me one. I'm certain the duke will have a spare one he's willing to sell to me. How much would he want?

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 02:23 PM
((How do you ask, try to rp a bit))

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 02:31 PM
((Edit'd.))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 02:39 PM
The servant looks at you arrogantly and replies, "All the duke's clothes are in his house colors, so I doubt he is willing to part with them to someone outside his family, so may I ask why you need such a suit?"

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 02:52 PM
Disguising myself as a rich guy in the hope it will attract a bandit attack, what else? Suryc replies.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 02:58 PM
"Then I suggest and audience with my lord, I shall ask him if he wants to receive you, your name?"

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 03:04 PM
Suryc. Not actually my name, but it's good enough for most people.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 03:06 PM
"Very well please wait here", the servant walks away and leaves you in the waiting room, there's two guards posted near the entrance and a few fluffy couches.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 03:10 PM
Suryc takes a seat, and waits for the servant to finsih conversing with the duke.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 03:22 PM
After a while the servant reappears, "Follow me"

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 03:30 PM
Suryc follows.

Never a dull moment, is there?

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 03:34 PM
You are led up along a few staircases and into the study of the duke, the duke is around 40 years old and has a round beerbelly. "Ah good good, please come in and don't mind Eric, he's old and grumpy, but we keep him around anyways", the servant seems insulted and promptly leaves.

((Well I thought you might want to sneak of or talk with the guards))

Hivemind Ghost

Suryc kneels down, (One of the first things a ninja is taught is to be respectful to people who can have you executed with a moments notice) and speaks.

Noble duke, I presume you have heard of the bandit problem in the area. I wish to pose as a rich noble, to lure the bandits to attack me. I attempted to buy a suit befitting a noble from a tailor, but no one has the materials. If you would be willing to part with one for a price, or as a loan, alhough I cannot guarentee it would come back in goood conditon. it would greatly help me apprehend these criminals.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 04:01 PM
"Yes yes, horrible problem, if one of my suits will help you I will gladly give you one now I think you are about the size of one of my sons, I'll have a servant bring it.", The lord calls for a servant and asks him to bring a suit, "Now is there any other way to help you in this endeavor?"

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 04:10 PM
Would a horse be possible sir? By no means do I mean one of your best, but it would add to my credibility if I was riding. I didn't ask earlier, because I never expected you to be this generous.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 04:14 PM
"I'll have one of my stablehands ready a horse, it won't be anything to be proud of, but I'll make sure that there is some extravagant saddle on it and this bandit problem has been bugging me for a while, so I don't mind giving a hand in a solution to it. The increase in trade alone should be worth it, not even mentioning the lives lost", a servant walks in with a suit and the duke sends him away to tell a stablehand to ready a horse.

Hivemind Ghost
2007-02-11, 04:25 PM
Thank you again, sir.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-11, 04:28 PM
"Not a problem at all, just make sure you get out alive, with the problem solved"

((Gonna call it a night, I'll continue tomorrow))
