I'm wanting to look up most the the original content for 3.0 and 3.5 from Dungeon Magazine and Dragon Magazine. I want to know when in the physical magazines it switched to non-preview content of 3.0 and how far into the digital magazines it continued to have 3.5 content. I tried using Dragondex but it doesn't really sort stuff by edition nor does it cover any content from the digital releases

I believe for Dragon it is 274-359, at least that is what my list says. Not sure where the split 3.0-3.5 would be.

Dragons 310-312 comprised a "special update series" that bridged the transition to 3.5, and provided a slew of options and variants for the revised base classes.

Any clue on Dungeon Magazine and/or the Digital magazines?

Sorry, but even though I have mountains (technically my mom, but ssst) of dragon magazine, I don't have a lot of dungeon.

Best bet, try per date. 3.0 started in the 2000s., 3.5 was June 2003, and 4.0 was June 2008. Try those benchmarks.

Edit: I did some spiting around and found this nifty little list (http://www.enworld.org/forum/showwiki.php?title=D-and-D-PDF-Collectors-Guide#Paizo-releases-paid-content).

A couple of note worthy things. Paizo published the magazines for a while, starting with 3.0. The earliest dungeon magazine from paizo is 82... And on the Paizo site (http://paizo.com/products/btpy7tpx) it states " 3rd Edition Premiere Issue!".
The oldest I can find is 148 (http://paizo.com/products/btpy7w2d?Dungeon-Issue-148), but further I learned that Dungeon 155 was published on June 2008, hey that's when 4.0 started... So it's in that range. Safe bet would be 154.

So for dungeon that answer seems 82 to 154..

Another thing is that dragon stopped with issue 359, the last 3.5 one, and then 360 was the first digital one which was 4.0. So I don't think there are any dragon/dungeon digital 3.0/3.5 magazines.
Likewise it seems that Dungeon 155 is the first digital dungeon and was also the first 4.0 one, but I am unsure about he gap 150-154...

What you need is the DragonDex (http://www.aeolia.net/dragondex/index.html)

They already did.

They already did.

Oops, missed that.

There are other online lists though — this one (http://index.rpg.net/display-search.phtml?key=magazine&value=Dragon) claims that 3.5 ran from Dragon #308 to #363

3.0 started with Dragon #274: Special Collector's 3rd Edition Issue though to #307

274-308 are 3.0.
309-363 are 3.5.

Yeah I was about to say that beyond 359 for a few issues. Dragon Mag had 4.0, but few things for 3.5e as well. Don't know yet about dungeon mag. Must have been a several month period before dragon mag fully changed over from being Paizo's to being WOTC's.

Yeah, I don't own any of the dragon digital magazines, so I could be wrong on all accounts. I figured this stuff out for my mom (who is the owner of my collection of dragon magazines :smalltongue:) years ago because she got dragon magazines from like 1st edition, those things are ancient by now. I also got listed which numbers are 1st and 2nd edition, but that was not the question.

Still I feel pretty sure that 360 atleast started with 4.0 material, but then we need to find someone that owns the thing to know for sure.

One last question. Are any of the non-numbered special issues 3.0 or 3.5? I know there were a few of them, and if there is any for those editions, which ones are 3.0 and which ones are 3.5?

There is an excel list for all the Dungeon Magazines at Canonfire.com which provides all the adventures with the edition.
