Dragonscale Husk + Gish?

Just a question, but as there is no Spellcasting Failure penalty listed, would Dragonscale Husk (Dragon Magic) be a good choice for a gish?

It prevents wearing armor, and the AC bonus it gives you depends on the level in the class you get it from. If you have a one or two level dip in fighter and the rest in spellcasting classes, like most gishes, the AC you gain will be pitiful, and you won't be able to use whatever that build would normally get AC from. So, no.

And it is rendered fairly useless by abjurant champion, the go to gish PRC.
