Minds gone blank, can I have a bit of help explainining how Miss Chances for being invisible work?

Say for example I'm a creature with a nominal AC of lets say 30, with the ability to go Invisible. I'm fighting a target which cannot see Invisible targets but has managed to pin-point my square, and is attacking me.

How does he have a chance of hitting me? Is it roll to hit, roll the 50% miss chance, compare against AC?

Yeah sounds like you've got it.

Since the opponent knows in which square you are, the opponent first makes a normal attack roll. If the opponent would hit your AC with its attack roll, it then rolls the miss chance of 50%, and if it succeeds on that roll, you are hit.
