Can a Shadow Dragon take the Life Drain feat?

And, if so, does it affect his Breath Weapon?

If they managed to get the feat by finding a way to get the Energy Drain supernatural ability, then yes, it would affect their breath weapon, but shadow dragons dont have energy drain, thus dont qualify for the feat.

While not RAW, i believe RAI for the feat is that it only works for energy drain, so it wouldnt work on the breath weapon, but RAW, it would... if you could qualify and get the feat.

It could get an Energy Drain ability with which to qualify by taking a level of Soul Eater or (if it's old enough) by becoming a Vampiric Dragon. The latter would mean not being able to qualify for most of the good breath feats though.
