So as the post title suggests, my question is this. How does the spell true sight interact with a blind character? Details (if it helps) the character will be a Druid going Runecaster. The basic idea is that he pimps out his Animal companion to protect him physically, and has multitudinous runes for spell-y defenses, plus whatever he has prepared. The true sight comes into play later on, when he buys 2 glass eyes (he wasn't using his anyway) and inscribes the rune for a permanent truesight on them. Would this work or does the spell require you to actually have vision in order to function?

The True Seeing spell only augments your sight, so it wouldn't help if you couldn't see at all.

You would need a Remove Blindness/Deafness cast on you, which not only fixes magical blindness, but natural blindness too, as long as the eyes are still there.

You could just ask for a houserule if it's for flavor purposes though; maybe a custom spell/magic eyeball.
