That Lanky Bugger

Alright, I'm bored at work. There's not too much to do around here right now, so while I was answering another thread (while looking up d20 Epic Spell rules) I wondered which would be the most efficient use of increasing the Spell DC of the Seed: Energy spell when combined with expanding both the die numbers and the die size.
Here are my findings:
Table:Efficiency
{table]Spellcraft DC|Most Efficient|Efficiency Margin
DC 40|20d6|2.5 Damage
DC 50|20d8|2.5 Damage
DC 60|25d8|2.5 Damage
DC 70|15d20|20 Damage
DC 80|20d20|45 Damage
The following table shows Spellcraft DC by dice and die size
{table]/|10d|15d|20d|25d|30d|35d|40d
d4|14|24|34|44|54|64|74
d6|19|29|39|49|59|69|79
d8|29|39|49|59|69|79|89
d10|39|49|59|69|79|89|99
d12|49|59|69|79|89|99|109
d20|59|69|79|89|99|109|119
While the following shows average damage by dice and die size
{table]/|10d|15d|20d|25d|30d|35d|40d
d4|25|37.5|50|62.5|75|87.5|100
d6|35|52.5|70|87.5|105|122.5|140
d8|45|67.5|90|112.5|135|157.5|180
d10|55|82.5|110|137.5|165|192.5|220
d12|65|97.5|130|162.5|195|227.5|260
d20|105|157.5|210|262.5|315|367.5|420
If there's enough interest I might take this another step and do an efficiency by area of effect study. Alright, I think I'm going to go do something fun like counting the dust specks in my cubicle.
