Did they ever make an Errent for the Save DC for the Posion spell to be your casting Stat and not Wis?

Errata, and as far as I know, no.

What are you talking about? Everyone knows the only casters that get poison are divine casters, which always use Wis. It's just redundant to change it.

Also, it still uses half CL, uncapped, not spell level. Because one single auto-heightening spell in the whole system is such good design.

To be fair the spell isn't that great WITH an auto scaling DC :smalltongue: I would honestly just houserule the change in ability score but keep the scaling DC. It makes the spell kinda usable.

irresistble, maximized, empowered poison for 20+2d5 con damage with no save? Whats not to love about it (ok, sure, there's plenty out there immune to poison... but still..)

Irresistable Spell got errata'd to just be a substantial DC bump.

And ½d10+10 Con damage now and another ½d10+10 Con damage 10 rounds later is not super-great for a, what, 9th-level slot without reduction?

Well, of course you're gonna have reduction somewhere, and yeah, shame about the irresistable spell errata

I guess you could throw in twin spell for double in the first round?

You've just got to fight like a snake. Snakes don't keep fighting toe-to-toe (er, tail-to-toe) with their prey until it dies; they bite once, let the prey retreat (or retreat themselves, if the prey doesn't), wait for it to die, and then track it down.

That does make sense, but generally any special abilities or spells that rely on almost completely rewriting the party's tactics tend to be so niche as to be ignored. And this one definitely does.

(Also, of course, it only has one secondary effect. PF poison rules are rather more suited to the long game.)
