So, I've got an idea in my mind that is turning out much harder than it seemed in my head. I want to make a character that goes through a certain school of law and learns loopholes in magic. I want to be able to use magical contracts of sorts (sort of like the contingency spell) that works where my "client" starts by signing a contract. If my client breaks the contract, my spell affects them without being entitled to a will save. I know there is an existing feat for "Magical Contract", but it is way too expensive for me. Does anyone know a good spell-caster that could do something similar to this. The main thing I'm looking for is that if a promise is broken, the will save is not allowed.

Contract of Nepthas: CArc, 700gp to craft
Oathbeer: Dr334, 1500gp to craft

Craft Contingent Spell (CAr): Call Kolyarut (PH) 4900gp to craft
Craft Contingent Spell: Bestow Curse (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/bestowCurse.htm) 900gp to craft
Craft Contingent Spell: Mark of Justice (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/markOfJustice.htm) 2500gp to create

A use-activated single-use item of Geas (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/geasQuest.htm), Lesser Geas (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/geasLesser.htm), Oath of Blood (HoH), Familial Geas (HoH)

An artificer would probably be your best bet for this

Artificer 1, Binder 5 (Improved Binding to get Astaroth (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070307a)) would work and have a strong contract flavor...

Thank you kindly. I hadn't thought about going with the Artificer before, though the binder certainly cycled my thoughts. I'll look into it.

Question though, where IS the magical contract feat? A googling turns up only the Contract of Napthas (wondrous item) and Homebrew stuff

Also if PF stuff is allowed:
Summoning/Calling/Planar-Binding Contract Devils might be a cool trick to have

It lives very much in the homebrew plane of inexistence. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Magical_Contract_(3.5e_Feat)

More PF Stuff:

Spellcasting Contract (line of spells 5, 7, 9)

Pact Parchment (wondrous item, 1750gp to craft)

Edit:
Whoa nelly.
The feat is horridly broken
terribly horribly broken

150gp for Wishlike effects? Just bluff or diplomacy really hard, lower their will save by poison and alcohol and whatnot...
Jeez

It doesn't even distinguish between Will: volition and Will: testament
It just... no. Even a Devil's contracts have more... reasonableness to them
Very bad feat.

Yeah, I just remembered the changes my DM made to the currency system. Sometimes I forget SRD. The feat is pretty awful, which is why I try to avoid the poisonous side of homebrew. Thanks again for the more stuff. This character is looking workable at this point. He's based slightly off of the devil in "Damn Yankees", very polite. It'll be fun.

Does Geas/Quest only do 3d6 damage a day and sickened?
That pretty easy to 'go around' no?

Tiefling then I presume?
A Lesser Magicblooded Tiefling would trade the Cha penalty for a Wis one
or a PF tiefling:

soulseer devilspawn would be a good combo

Yeah but you gotta do the stuff, the only way to not do the stuff is by being restrained or by having the Geas/Quest removed

On that note: A cursed (to not be thrown or discarded until contract is complete) spellblade (Remove Curse) shuriken would be a cute extra insurance

A Fine riverine shuriken spellblade with a couple curses (-2 and impossible to be rid of) ought cost around 1218.8gp half that to make (using the pricing of the loadstone and cursed sword) for no damage and pretty impossible to use or destroy

Another good contract curse: baleful polymorph and trap the soul
