I know truenamers are broken...but are the PRC's also?

I honestly haven't given them a good look over, I just know they are never talked about (maybe for a good reason, considering how bad true namer is borked) They don't need the base class, are any of the PRC's in the back of tome of magic salvageable, or maybe even decent/good ?

Well Fiendbinder is a 7/10 prc with kinda easy entry at lvl 8...
Though any good aligned character won't take it past level eight, where you start letting archfiends give you power-bribes.
Acolyte of the Ego is interesting, but the DCs for the effects suffer the 2xHD problem with truespeech checks
The rest are pretty bad. I mean I guess Disciple of the Word give a monk more powers...
and Brimstone Speaker gives 5/10 casting
But the others...
Bereft ends up giving you an effect reproducible by a thianium weapon it's an NPC PRC.
