Still formulating and fiddling with the ideas, but early input is important

Deepkin Chorist

The great Holds of the Deepkin echo constantly with the booming sound of the Chorists, strengthening stone and protecting the societies from the monsters that stalk the darkest places, leftovers from the Snake-Lord’s invasion.

Long story short, the idea here is class built around songs and slowly building strength over the course of an encounter – quite a narrow class, but hopefully a fun option.

Skills – 4+Int
BAB – Medium Progression (Considering Slow)
Saves – Fort Good, Ref Bad, Will Good
Class Skills – TBD.
Weapon Profs – Simple weapons and special weapon for this – kinda like a really big and thick quarterstaff for percussion effects.
Armor Profs – Medium, possibly heavy? Suggestions please!

Spells – Ok, here it’s a bit complicated. They are spontaneous spellcasters, and have no limits on how many spells they can ‘cast’ per day. Instead, they get this table below – the number indicated how many rounds of singing they have to go through before they can cast a spell. So take a 5th level chorist. They can’t cast a third level spell until they have been singing for at least three rounds. In the second round, they can cast a 2nd level OR a 1st level spell. To continue singing, they have to cast a spell every round, using a full-round-action. (Possibly, at later levels, that becomes a standard action but they take a penalty to move speed, then at a very high level, just a standard action.) Obviously if they’re getting attacked and fail a concentration check, they break they chain.

What I –can’t- figure out is how to incorporate Charisma score into the spells. Perhaps make their ‘spells known’ affected by CHA. Help here please!

In addition, there will be a bunch of extra features around the tapping stick weapon thing.
