Do you think baphitaur are a better choice for melee characters instead of minotaurs?

3 outsider HD +2 LA
Medium Size 30ft speed
+3 natural
Charge 2d6+3
Cold resistance 5, darkness, electricity resistance 5, fire resistance 5, natural cunning, rage, scent
+4 str +2 dex +2 con -2 cha
Skills: Baphitaurs receive a +2 racial bonus to Search, Spot, and Listen checks

Natural Cunning (Ex): Like their minotaur ancestors, baphitaurs possess innate cunning and logical ability. This makes them immune to maze spells, prevents them from ever becoming lost, and enables them to track enemies. Further, they are never caught flat-footed.

Mind you, they're updated in Underdark. Exactly the same, far as I can tell, though.

My subjective opinion
Pros from Minotaur:
+8 Str, +4 Con
Scent
Large Size
Cons from Minotaur:
-4 Int, -2 Cha
6RHD, +2LA

Pros from Baph:
+4 Str +2 Dex +2 Con
Scent
Cons from Baph:
-2 Cha
3RHD, +2LA

Both seem very overpriced. Baph can be replaced with Orc & a 1st level stance. Minotaur's Large size is harder to replace but is not worth 3 more RHD.

Verdict: Baph is better but still overpriced.
