greenbound summoning and wall of thorns question

Someone told me that since greenbound summons can move through any terrain without leaving any trace they can move through the wall of thorns that they cast with no problem. These seems down right wrong to me.

You are correct. Leaving no footprints or scent means exactly that, no more, and no less. It grants no improved woodland stride effect, because it doesn't say that it does. Thus, greenbound summons travel impeded by the thorns, but if they use pass without trace, then they are impeded without leaving a trail.
