Everyday, as the light begin to fade in the horizon and tiredness invade your limbs, as you feel your own mind flickering, you know it's time to join the crude linen of your sheets to find a restoring sleep.
First, your eyelids close. Then, your heartbeat slow down. Slowly. It's time for the reason to let go, leaving your body empty of feelings. Finally, as come the void of unconsciousness, you let go to fall into the limbo of sleep.
Fade to black ...
Then, a faint light. It grows and become a diffuse light, reassuring, monochrome. Finally, pictures take form, increasingly accurate.
The Dream just began.
You are on a mountain trail. the path is carved right in the stone, veined of sulfur. In the distance spring creeks.
You progress quickly under the low sun, filled with the beauty of the landscape. Actually, you're not walking, simply floating a few inches above the ground. You don't feel the bitter cold of the mountain, in a state of extraordinary serenity. Everywhere there's only an eerie silence, underlining the land's beauty.
Suddenly, the sound of wings beating echoes, disrupting the mountain's silence. A black shape flit to you, and land on a rocky protuberance. It's an eagle. Made of stone. Living, but fully made of obsidian.
The bird glance at you, while a sever tone resound "Haste yourself, dreamers, join me in the awake world, cause the land of the dreams is in danger. Haste yourself".
Echoing through the mountain, the words repeat themself ad infinitum, while the eagle fly to the sun.
You continue your path along the red mountain, as you feel you breath getting short.
The bird suddenly stop, as if time stopped, extending his wings, transforming into ... a human shape. The shape precise itself, revealing an old altmer, radianting extraordinary might. a venerable mythical warrior, in an iridescent armor, wielding to his side a black sword sculpted in a shard of starry night. Fixing his amber gaze at you, he call you, a hand to you, the other place on the black hawk chiseled into his armor : "Haste yourself, dreamer, i'm waiting for you. Haste yourself, as chimeras are dying ... "
Suddenly, you wake up.
It has been week since the dream is haunting you. It is not an ordinary dream, you know it. You feel deep in you the call of this red mountain and this old altmer.
Now this dream has left the intimacy of your nights, as you doodle the mountain on a sheet of paper, as you carve the path on a inn table ...

Your ship finally arrived to morrowind. You are in the coastal city of seyda neen, where you are greeted by Numerius fabius, a short and chubby imperial
"Welcome to Morrowind, travellers, what brings you here ?"
Without waiting for an answer, he continues
"I have the regret to inform you that you are, for now, stuck in our beautiful province, due to a blight epidemic.
right now, you have to fill out the papers and form for you emigration."

Of course, good sir. Customs must be satisfied. What manner of blight is it that has befallen this most glorious province?
Silian's tone is friendly and warm, but also confident. It is the tone of a man who knows how to command, but knows this is not the place.

"Dagoth ur in his mountains cursed our land, but the soulguard is watching."

"Just how dangerous is this contagion?" asks the tall elf as he looks around idly.

"Dangerous enough to shut down our borders, sick people fall into the world of dreams and never come back. It is curable though, if you ever contract it head to a temple or drink a potion.
I'm sorry to repeat myself, but we have to fill out the forms, what brings you to Morrowind ?"

"The quest for knowledge." Arthes says calmly.

Silian ponders the question.
Convalescence. I felt things were a bit unhealthy in Cyrodil, so I'm traveling for my health.

Silain decides to wander the town, searching for any information about a red mountain.

Arthes simply chooses to take a long walk through the town to gather his thoughts on the object of his quest - the read mountain of his dream - and what bits of lore he might already have on such a thing. Or perhaps any logical deductions he might make from the surrounding environment.

Combining both you knowledge and information, you manage to learn more about the mountain.
The only mountain that fits is the Red Mountain, where Dagoth Ur reside, though you can start researching more accurately in Ikhar, the city of sails, the only civilized area in the surrounding of the red mountain.

Silian decides to try and find at least one other person to go with him to Ikhar. After all, blights made people desperate, and desperate people can get lucky blows as easily as trained warriors.

Rozaldin disembarks from the ship, gazing outward across an unfamiliar land. He is nervous, but excited to explore the new location. Silian is walking through town when he hears the raven speak.
Intelligent bird you have there. What, may I ask, happened in Hammerfell? It sounds like quite the story.

This is Niflheimr and what happened is I was visiting my mothers family in Hammerfell and

He being a *helpful person* got involved when a group of thugs tried to attack a helpless pilgrim and after he scared them off he offered to be his bodyguard while he was in Hammerfell. We later found out he was the son of some big shot in the imperial city who made some enemies and sent his son here to hide and lay low. So we spent a year in Hammerfell protecting him and making sure he didn't get himself killed. It was made worse since our charge pissed off the leader of the Aklair for sleeping with his daughter. Do you know how hard it is to escape a father trying to kill a man for sleeping with his daughter do you!!!!!???? Do You know how hard it is to try and calm him down after he tried to cut off your head do you!!!!!!!! Do u know how hard it is to get sand out of feathers do you??!!!!!!!??????

Silian laughs at the bird's tale.
No, I've never had the experience of sand in my feathers. Mostly due to lack of feathers, come to think of it. Though I have been chased out of a town or two with angry fathers on my tail.
He looks back at Njall, a smile still on his lips from his last comment.

Nif pretends to not hear anything and looks around

Interesting. I'm trying to gather a group to go to Ikhar. There's a Blight in the area, it seems, and blights make people desperate. And desperate people can be can be dangerous. Any interest in joining me?
Silian is very forward.

before Njall can speak Nif speak up *sigh* i already know the answer but is there any chance that u will just ignore this request so we can have a easy time for once

Njall looks at Nif and shacks his head Sorry Nif but we are going I've been given this power for a reason and i want to use it for good and besides i come from a military family and its been beat into my head since I've been young to help the weak when given power. looks at Silian and smiles You have yourself a deal as he says this he sticks out his hand for a handshake

Njall holds up his hands in surrender My mistake i didn't mean to imply that you yourself are weak. I meant the people affected by the blight because as you said desperate people are dangerous and will do things that will make those that cant defend themselves suffer

Silian nods to Njall and walks away from the quarreling bird and warrior, continuing his search for potential allies.

Some time later, he sees a Khajiit with a bow and quiver on his back.

Rozaldin, surprised to be spoken to, turns around and get's a good look at the man talking to him.

You seem to be well armed yourself sir. And I am new here. How could you tell? But to answer your question, I am new. Very new in fact. I have only just recently arrived here. And who might you be?

Silian holds out a hand.
Silian Pelius. And as far as how I knew you were new here, a mix of luck and educated guess. Khajiit in the country of Dunmer, and I've seen travelers when they're fresh into town before. So, what brings you to Morrowind?

Rozaldin returns the gesture with a firm handshake.
The name's Rozaldin. Pleasure to meet you Silian, you seem to be quite perceptive. Something too many it seems lack these days. As for why I am here, unfortunately, I'm not able to say for sure. If I had to say what is most correct, it would be that I no longer have a home to return to, and this seemed to be the place I was meant to reach one day.

Rozaldin, interested in why Silian is asking these questions, does the same.

Silian gives Rozaldin an inquisitive look.
That is surprisingly similar to my own tale. Things in Cyrodil were getting unhealthy for me, and I've had a dream of going to the Red Mountain near Ikhar for some time now.
He looks that cat man over a little.
Perhaps you would like to join me? The roads are probably dangerous with desperate men, what with the blight. Safer to travel in groups.

Arthes returns after his brief tour of the surrounding area. He sizes up the newcomers. "Well well well, who do I have the pleasure of meeting now?"

Rozaldin thinks the question over for a minute:
Similar pasts ehh? Perhaps once we're on our way to this Red Mountain you mention, we can share stories? I accept your offer to travel with you, for now at least. Strength in numbers, yes friend?

Rozaldin acknowledges the newest addition to the scene before answering.

Silian chuckles.
I'm sure there will be plenty of time to tell tales, so long as you can return the favor.
He turns to Arthes.
You are Arthes, correct? We met on the ship. Silian Pelius, in case you forgot. My new friend and I were planning to head to Ikhar, along with another fellow and his pet raven I met earlier. Would you care to join us?

A short imperial comes nears you. He approaches your group, launching keen looks at his surroundings.
"Greetings travellers, name's Kaeso Claudius, i couldn't help but to overhear your conversation. So you're headed to ikhar eh ? Are you interested into a honest job ? I'm looking for an escort for my caravan, as we are delivering weapons and armor to the city of Ikhar.
By the way, you chose your time right to go the little city, i heard they are selecting new captain for the aeroship company, maybe you should try your luck ?."

Silian looks the man up and down.
As it happens, I've just organized a group of myself and three others, four, if you count the raven, to leave in he morning. As far as Aeroships, maybe I will. Might not hurt to get settled in.

Of course. Now, two things. First of all, the raven. He seems like an intelligent and competent fellow. And one who might get upset at being cut out of his share. Might not be your best plan. Second...
At this, Silian taps the pommel of his heavy Akaviri blade.
I don't like being kept in the dark. What are you not telling me? Bear in mind, any detail could ultimately get us all killed.

Silian turns from the merchant.
We are meeting at dawn by the main gate, I will see you there and then.

Any way nif now that you have ended your tantrum want to go visit the bar i know your favorite pastime is making fun of drunks and making them think they are crazy

Nif tilts his haed and says you are only saying this as an excuse to make me forgot about your horrible deal aren't you

Njall smiles and says Guilty as charged and its not just for you I want a drink i'm thirsty and a bar is a good of place as any to lean anything

Silian also makes his way to the tavern. Nothing look a good stiff drink after a month at sea...where there was little to do but drink. But at least this will be decent drink.

150 gold pieces aye? That sounds like a pretty good start considering I really had no clue what I was to do with myself less than a day ago!

Rozaldin sees the other members of his apparent new group heading towards the tavern. He mumbles quietly to himself:

Well, I guess this is where my journey begins. Best be keeping with the group, perhaps I can learn a little more about just who I'm going to be dealing with there.

Rozaldin meanders over to the tavern.

Silian sees Rozaldin follow him into the tavern, and sees Njall and Nif already there. He motions to the cat-man to join him as he makes his way to the warlock.
Well, fancy seeing you two here. You'll be glad to know I've gotten us a caravan to protect on the way to Ikhar. 150 gold apiece, and I even talked him into paying our little feathered friend here.
He checks over his shoulder for Rozaldin.
This is Rozaldin. He'll be joining us on the road. Rozaldin, this is Niflheimer. The nord is Njall.

Pleased to meet you two. You seem like quite the duo if you don't mind me saying. Like my friend here says, I'm Rozaldin and I am excited to make the journey with such an interesting group.

Rozaldin extends his hand to each newly met member in turn.

me getting payed. if it isn't shinny or pretty i don't want it and Rozaldin was it whats your homeland like i keep trying to convince Njall here to take me but everytime we try to go something comes up and njall here has to be the hero which i don't agree with by the way as he glares at Njall

Njall shrugs you knew how i was the moment you met me and don't forget me being a hero is how i met you and saved you in case you forgot

Rozaldin is quite surprised by the manner in which Niflheimer acts.

Ah I see the Raven is quite talkative. But my homeland is... very particular. Depending on what you are looking for, you may not like it so much. In some parts there are lush forests that are humid, and in others, arid badlands. Let's not talk too much about it, I don't wish to remember why I left that place. Where are you two from?

Rozaldin turns to Silian

So Silian, perhaps you can tell all of us a little more about this journey we seem to be embarking on soon? Will we be embarking on it soon, or do you know?

Gold is shiny, and can be used to purchase other shiny things.
He nods as Rozaldin requests further details.
A merchant named Kaeso Claudius wanted guards, and he was on his way to Ikhar. I figured it never hurts to make some extra coin doing what you plan on doing anyways, so I volunteered us. We leave tomorrow morning.

Not much. He's going to Ikhar, and he was keeping something from me. Normally, I wouldn't work with a man like him, but, like I said, we're making the trip anyways, why not get paid for it?

We leave from the main gate at dawn. But for now, how about a round of drinks?
Silian waves a hand to one of the serving girls.

Njall smiles and this right here is what i was waiting for. Nothing like a round of drinks to celebrate an adventure and new friends.

Nif looks at Silian in horrorpls for all that is holy don't let him drink to much. It always ends badly and results with me trying to calm people down

A tall dunmer enters the tavern. He looks at you, and suddenly, he yells "Strangers, you are sitting at my table. I strongly suggest you move." In the tavern, a bunch of people raise their eyes up to the sky, while others take their distances.
Obviously, the dunmer is known by the local crowd, and he's not the kind of guy you mess up with.

[Vhaidara]

Silian's eyes narrow at the dunmer.
Good sir, there is plenty of space in this tavern. We are here already, you were not. I promise, if you leave us be, your table will come to no harm.

Njall turns to look at the dunmer come now this here is a tarven a place to make merry and relax here he picks up his untouched mug of ale have a cup on me and forget your troubles

The dunmer looks at you, then slowly approach. he take the cup, and pour it on njall's head.
"Much better" he then pulls out a dagger and plant it on the table "Now move and i wont be mad. And you don't want to see me mad, i guarantee it."
In the tavern, you see some people leave before trouble happens, while others reach for their weapons. A group of drunk dunmers start banging their pints on the table, making a loud noise.

Silian puts a hand on his Akiviri blade and locks eyes with the dunmer.

He is clearly addressing the dunmer. Yes, he calls people friend when threatening them for their own good.

Njall takes a deep breath and narrows his eyes Now that "grayskin" He snares while he says this and the room temperature drops several degrees as his eyes and right arm start to glow a pale green was a huge mistake and i hope you realize i will take my payment in blood for insulting my hospitality and Nif don't even try to stop me he started it first and i will take my revenge for him insulting my honor and hospitality. NOW BREAK FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nif stares at the dummer and shakes his headYou stupid stupid man. You had to start with the one guy who values his honor a bit to much. You had to insult him when he was making peace and trying to relax he sighs and starts to glow black May whoever you worship have mercy on your soul and let you be reborn smarter in your next life

Rozaldin tenses up, having not been in a fight for a good while. He whispers to his new companions, I hope I have joined the right group, this doesn't look like it's going to be pretty.

Rozaldin begins to reach for his bow.

Somewhere in the tavern, you can ear someone shout "Someone call the guards"

As he says so, fiery energy appears around his fists, and he launch three quick punches to Njall

The blade go through the air with great speed. The dunmer first looks amused seeing the blade missing him. He then realise what has happended. His left arm fall on the ground with a squishy sound, and you can see a look of horror appearing on his face.
"Who the hell are you ?" he mumbles. He then fall on the ground, dead.
A patrol of imperials burst into the tavern, and they ask "What's happening down here ?". Seeing the dead body and Silian standing beside him with his weapon drawn, they draw their weapons and rush to him.
"You are under arrest, resist arrest and there will be another dead body on the floor tonight."

[Vhaidara]

Silian sighs. He sheathes his blade in a single motion and turns to the guard.
My apologies for the mess, but this man assaulted my colleague. I was trained to strike to protect the innocent, and I did so. I regret that my blow proved fatal, but this man was clearly a danger to society.

nif mutters to himselfwell that the first i've ever seen him go down in a bar fight and without even touching the man he wnt be happy when he wakes up. he fluffs up his feathers oh well lets see if i can get Silian out of trouble he turns to the guards and lands on sillian shoulder he is telling the truth ask anyone here and they will say that the dunmer started it better yet ask my friend who is currently on the floor when he wakes up he will back up the fact that the dunmer started it and ended up dead because of it

The guards ask around to confirm your story. Once they did so, they release you and embark the dead body.
"Follow me outside", the guard commands. "The poor man's didn't had any family or friends in town, so take this as a reparation for your friend's injury"
The guard hands you a golden necklace, representing a fist. The necklace glows faintly in the night, proving his magic nature.
"Be careful though, now i know your face and the next time something like this happens i won't be so gentle. Try to keep the guy alive when it's just a tavern brawl, you caused quite a mess tonight."

Silian bows.
Of course, good sir. I will find a stick to use next time instead of my blade.
Silian returns to the bar. He looks at Rozaldin
Well, that was a regrettable first day in Morrowind. Anything you can do to wake him up?
He gestures to the unconscious Nord with the raven.

Looks like the Nord and I have some catching up to do if we hope to be of any use in the journey ahead. I must be rusty considering the time it has been since I've last fired a bow. As for our Nord friend here, I think I know something that will wake him up.

Rozaldin kicks the nord softly at first, slowly increasing the velocity and saying his name until he comes to.

Silian looks Rozaldin in the eye.
If he had seen my blade coming, my blow would have been merely a scratch. It was the distraction posed by you two that allowed me to strike true.

Njall takes a walk outside with no further incident, and he then come back to the tavern to sleep. You three share a room.

First a faint light, pale barely tearing apart the darkness of the night.
The the light come, diffuse, reassuring, monochrome. For you, once again, the dream is about to begin.
You enter the familiar landscape, the sinuous trail, the ocher dust with sulfur scent.
However, you seem to ear an eerie whisper and the colors are darker than usually.
You then take your slow ascent, looking for the obsidian hawk to come. Soon, you ear the familiar beating of the wings.
The whisper is now a moaning, and the light begin to fade out.
The obsidian hawk finally appears, but something is wrong.
His wings are tattered and his eyes are replaced by pearls of blood, while the moaning become more audible. This is not a moaning, it's screams, screams of pain, synchronized into a unholy incantatory chant ... And there's more, a gigantic shadow, SOMETHING, entered the dream.
Suddenly, the landscape explode, and you wake up.

First thing : You are not in the tavern anymore, along with 10 persons. You all look surprised in your sleep, wearing your night clothing. Or lack of clothing.

Suddenly, an eerie melody, cruel and naive resound.
"One two three, here come the new beauty
Four five six, ready for the styx
Seven eight nine, ready for the pain"

A few meters away from you, someone just died. you feel the splash of blood and brain on you, while an spidery figure makes his way out of the darkness : six bones legs, a huge spine, a torso and two guantly arms, with a monstrous ghouly head on the top.

The creature screams : "One two three, who wants to play with me ?"

This is not quite what I expected when I learned we were traveling to a mountain for our quest. Fights in real life, most likely, fights in our dreams? And on top of it, this doesn't look too good.

"I'm sorry to confirm the saying of you raven, but things are indeed getting worse" says a tall bulky human. "Grab weapons, and fight for you life" he continues, grabbing a two handed sword that was laying around.
His words makes sense as you see six other creature emerging from the shadows of the cavern.

Meanwhile, the creature continues his deadly dance, decapitating another dreamer.
"You can't say slaughter without laughter" shouts the creature, while laughing manically.

"We're doomed" says simply another human, more frail the first one, grabbing a mace, incantating a spell.
Suddenly, you feel more confident and able to fight

Silian moves like lightning, swiping a pair of daggers from the ground as he charges towards one of the newcomers. As he picks them up, he hurls one at the beast, his mind clearing for the shot.

Move to K9 (M11->L11->K10->K9 to avoid attacks of opportunity), picking up 2 daggers along the way.
