My group is going to be using d20 from now on and though I usually don't play on grids, it's just too easy and convenient to not upload one and reveal it as you go, instead of drawing one by hand while the party moves along.
To get a pretty looking map, I need floor and wall textures that I can put together in GIMP. Are there any free libraries of such texture tiles, that I could use for that?

I have found these two sites that have decently-sized libraries of textures.

CGTextures (http://www.cgtextures.com/)
TextureMate (http://www.texturemate.com/)

Now, I think you have to sign up for CGTextures and you have so many "points" to spend unless you upgrade your account to a paying one, or something like that. I haven't used it very much, but they have quite a bit of stuff.

Save yourself a headache and acquire dungeon designer or dundjinni. Obviously you shouldn't use a torrent to get it go free.

Try out Dungeonographer (http://www.dungeonographer.com/). The free version does really basic stuff, but you might find the full version worth buying.

Maptool (http://www.rptools.net/?page=maptool) is a program that basically lets you put in various pictures, move them around, apply grids, etc. It's a basic tool that needs images to work, but that is very solid. Greytale's Nook (http://www.greytale.com/wp/) is a collection of pretty good images for public use - some do need you to log in, but all are free. It's also far from the only collection.

Those map objects are really great, thanks.
