What is this ability called

It allows you to recharge a staff by expending spells into it, though i cant remember where its from or what its called.

In a previous edition of the game, it was stated that it was possible to do this in Myth Drannor...

Alternately, there is a 'charge item' ability in the Artifact Lord 3.5 epic destiny...

I thought charging staff isnt even an ability?

The Master Staff epic feat does it. (There's also Epic Wand.) I feel like there's a way to do it non-epic, though.

Ah, here we go: Channel Charge from Lost Empires of Faerun. You need to make a UMD check and it requires you to expend a spell of a level higher than the staff/wand, but it's not epic.

Well, the 'staff of the magi' can absorb spells and turn them into charges, but that's a minor artifact, not a regular staff...

The 'channel charge', 'master wand' and 'master staff' feats let you use spell slots to power an item, but not to recharge the item...
