Hey guys,

We are currently playing a high-level campaign (Lvl 18 Sorc, Lvl 18 Warblade, Lvl 18 Warlock, Lvl 18 Cleric) where we are supposed to deal with hmmm ... some sort of elementals? Thing is, these are permanent typhoons, mobile volcanoes, slowly-moving earthquakes. Enormous things, beyond all size classes of 3.5

Anyway, we have at first just scouted them being invisible and they did not seem to spot us. But when we rolled knowledge checks (we have cca +30 to relevant checks at this point) Sorc and Cleric did really well. 52 on Knowledge: Planes, 63 on Knowledge: Arcana, 59 on Knowledge: Nature.

... aaand we got no info. So we guess these things have hmm, hundreds of HD? Probably homebrewed things with far-beyond epic DR, SR, saves and alike. They do seem to be of poor sentience thou.

Anyway ... got any advice, playground? How do we figure out what these things are?

thanks

Who cares? Just whack them until they reach zero hp. :small tongue:

It's possible they are primal elementals from the epic level handbook. Or elemental monoliths from complete arcane (they are tough, but they shouldn't pose any significant threat for a lv18 party).

However, being cr35, the DM should not be pitting them against your party. That said, their stats aren't that fantastic, though they have a lot of hp, and so can take a while to wear down.
