The previous threads have been video games and they've been split, one for bosses and one for protagonists (both can be found in my signature) so I decided I'd make it easier and just make it a generic anime characters thread. Protagonists, filler characters, villains alike. Request them here and I'll add them to the list!

Red = Complete and can find the post by clicking the listed user's name.
Gold = In progress.
Blue = I haven't started it.
Purple = In progress, but by somebody else. Username will be provided.

If there is more than one character, please list the characters in the format:

[Character name] ([Anime])

Taking a new line for each character.

If you complete a character, please post its full character sheet. Assume you have exactly as much money as you need for the purpose of acquiring the items.

EDIT: Something worth mentioning is why I added Kuroko and Kagami from Kuroko no Basket. It's not so much the characters themselves as much as it is I want to see how their abilities are handled. Kuroko is INCREDIBLY easy to lose track of, and Kagami can jump stupidly high and stupidly long for a human. Also, upon entering "The Zone" (which you can treat as a concentration check to enter) all of Kagami's abilities are increased.

Seriosly I'm dying to play a character that can mimic her fighting style in either 3.5 D&D, Pathfinder or Mutants and Masterminds 3rd Edition.

I's be interested to see some of the villains from Hellsing Ultimate, e.g.:

The Major (Hellsing Ultimate)
The Captain (Hellsing Ultimate)
The Doctor (Hellsing Ultimate)

Also,

Alexander Anderson (Hellsing Ultimate)

Presumably one of his powers will be Rapid Crafting (Bayonets)... :smallwink:

Also also,

Darcia III (Wolf's Rain)

Duskblade or Warblade/Jade Phoenix Mage would work well, as Erza is a melee fighter primarily and relies upon buffing magic. I know of a spell that replicates her weapon-summoning ability.

Usopp is definitely a rogue, as he relies on trickery and sneak attacks to win in battle.

Rock Lee and Might Guy are both Swordsage/Monks, as they use advanced martial arts and a ton of outright ridiculous maneuvers.

I'm glad you love them, I've been occupied with exams and a campaign I've been running so I've not been capable of creating the characters myself (my lack of expansive knowledge also factors into that but eh), but the community have been a huge help.

I'm being vague to make it easier on the potential creator because he can choose whatever character he deems easiest or funniest to make. But if you really need specifics - Shirahama Kenichi (http://kenichi.wikia.com/wiki/Kenichi_Shirahama).

Any martial artist from History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. Because they're all awesome.

NAIVE! In order to create Koetsuji Akisame, you must use a Swordsage with heavy Setting Sun and Diamond Mind emphasis!

The Hundred-Dan Warblade with IUS, Iron Heart and Tiger Claw emphasis is... Sakaki Shio!

Kousaka Shigure is a Swordsage with Shadow Hand and Diamond... Mind.

APAA! Apachai Hopachai, Grim Crusader of the Muai Thai underground... You will descend into hell, via Stone Dragon and Snap Kick!

Swordsage of Desert Wind, Ma Kensei! Chowa!

And if you ever doubted that Furinji Hayato was a Master of Nine with Jotunbrud, you got caught with your seikuken down.

(Frankly, none of them are playing D&D anyway. They're all playing Exalted.)

I don't see DND 3e as a good system for building most anime characters. The only exception I can think of is Mahou Sensei Negima, which seems to run exactly the same way as DND - massive power gain over short periods of time, spellcasters rule, ToB classes are slightly worse, mundane characters are much weaker and less relevant.

Ash Ketchum/Satoshi (Pokemon). The closest that I can think of would be Druid/ Beastmaster with Wild Cohort and Dragon Familiar, and buffing spells fluffed as power of friendship. It's really hard to incorporate a big system itself, unless you resort to homebrew (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?343354-Base-Class-Contest-XXII-Taking-Pixars-of-Dreamworks)(CTRL+F 'Monsterbound', albeit WIP).

Requests:
Gantz (Gantz)
◇ Hisoka ♥ (Hunter X Hunter)
Orochimaru (Naruto)
Faust VIII (Shaman King)
Magellan (One Piece)
Kuroudo Akabane (Get Backers) ; seems like a soulknife to me
Mask de Masculine (Bleach)

Dragon Shiryu (Saint Seiya)
Cygnus Hyoga (Saint Seiya)
Andomeda Shun (Saint Seiya)
Phoenix Ikki (Saint Seiya)

Gold Saint Saga of Gemini (Saint Seiya)

Hilda of Asgard (Saint Seiya)

Yes... I'm a big fan of that show (have not read the manga) and I have a lot of favorites, but some like Athena should already be defined in Deities & Demigods. Always was curious as to how to build these guys who can do a lot of different attacks that break walls and shatter the ground, amongst other things, like sending you towards the stratosphere with a punch.

Let's go old school!

- Astro Boy
- Cutey Honey
- Space Pirate Captain Harlock*

(all from their eponymous series)

*Bonus points for a spelljammer version of the Arcadia!

I'd like to try to stat these, and some of the previously mentioned characters, myself, but will be much too busy at work for the next couple of weeks to do the research, so anyone who wants can have first crack at them.

That's why it's fun to do. Besides, D&D is flexible enough that it's not impossible, and that's all we need.

Huh, ya know, since duskblade is shocking grasp and vampiric touch: the class, I wouldn't have figured that fitting Erza at all.

Warblade/Crusader with Artificer and Jade Phoenix Mage, sure. Duskblade? Not so much.

Lina Inverse (Slayers)

All casters in the Slayers universe seem to cast spontaneously. Dragon Slave is supposedly one of the most powerful spells around, and levels cities, so call it a 9th level spell. (It sure puts Meteor Swarm to shame!) Therefore, Lina probably casts as a Sorcerer 18+. For a D&D sorcerer, her spell selection is far from optimal, with a huge variety of different blasting spells. (She seems to know every "blowing stuff up" spell ever made, so Warmage might be a possibility, but she's got a good number of utility spells as well, which Warmage might not be able to provide.)

I'd round her out with a few rogue levels, to cover her various other adventuring skills. Maybe Arcane Trickster? She also has lots of ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) and Spellcraft.

Gourry Gabriev (Slayers)

Gourry could be a straight Fighter. Other than hitting things with a sword, and absorbing damage, he doesn't seem to have a lot of skills or special techniques. He's very equipment-dependent: Without the Sword of Light, he's useless against supernatural opponents. Even with it, he's usually the least effective member of the party in a battle: very Tier 5.

He makes lots of charging attacks, and usually takes out non-boss opponents in one hit, so a Shock Trooper build seems appropriate.

Zelgadis Greywords (Slayers)

Template stacking gone wild! Other than that, he's a gish.

Xellos (Slayers)

Xellos is difficult to determine stats for because he rarely uses his powers. He did kill a hundred or more gold dragons in one round, so that provides a baseline for his power level.

So for Yoh Asakura: Amidamaru probably needs to be custom made. His abilities fall all over the spectrum. I am looking at a 2-3rd level vestige so far with the guidelines from WoTC.

Seeing that virtually all the Shaman King fellas have at least 2 levels in OA shaman, to be able to see ghosts constantly; not finding any other ability (outside of shaman's spirit sight) that allows this.

The first batch are from InuYasha.

The second batch are from Sailor Moon.

The third batch are from Oh My Goddess!

The fourth batch are from Tenchi Muyou! (There are a lot of incarnations of Tenchi Muyou! I don't know which Angelalex has in mind; it looks like the original OVA version, but I could be wrong.)

Angalex, please actually list the characters with the anime you have in mind for them and don't shorthand it like this. The Sailor Senshi have two different versions: Original, and 30th century. There's also Sailor Luna that's only in the Live-action series.

I'll add the second and fourth batch when you list it as I requested, but I'll be nice and let the first and third batch pass.

I'd argue for Slayers, but that might be closer to AD&D - casters still dominate, but there's a lot fewer combat-negating shenanigans and a lot more blasting for piles of d6.

Slayers also works out more like in-practice D&D groups, given that their personalities match up to roleplayers pretty well - the minmaxer, the lazy guy, the newb, the real roleplayer, the girlfriend who only shows up to every fifth session...

How open is the possibility of others helping? Understanding that not everyone has the time, and as an avid fan of both anime and D&D, I'd be happy to make some of these. No idea which ones yet, but I'm eager to help in any way possible.

All help is welcome, as Insanity said this is far too much for me to do all by myself. Don't think of this thread as people asking me to make these characters, think of it as people giving me "Help Wanted" posters and me putting them all in one place for anyone that wants to help. I'm not at all well-versed like people such as Muggins are, otherwise I would work on these characters too.

I actually got an idea for how to do Yoh Asakura. Probably mostly Binder and KoSS with some totemist or soulknifey types to represent his smaller spirit contact abilities. Maybe some actual spirit shaman tossed in

Want me to mark you down as in-progress for them?

Whichever is easiest to you.

Pre-Hell it is, then. Guts should be easy as hell (pun not intended) to make, but due to the fact that Tome of Battle would have a big part in it (maneuvers and such) I think I'll leave it to someone that understands ToB better.

Wield Oversized Weapon and Monkey Grip are definitely two feats he'll have, I mean he single-handedly wields a Large Greatsword. He tends to use both hands, but he can use one hand if he so wishes. Or give him the Half-Giant template and he gets Powerful Build.

Thinking about Inuyasha. He's definitely a Half-Fiend Longtooth Shifter. Dog demon father, human mother is easily fluffed into the shifter abilities since he never turns into a full animal form, but can become more animalistic in appearance at times. Has natural claw attacks, which is something he's shown using quite frequently. Classes I'm thinking he's primarily fighter/ranger. Not sure if there's a good prestige class for him since he's really a heavy front line physical fighter that either attacks with his claws or his Katana, and doesn't have much in the way of magical attacks.

Makes sense, and he obviously has some sort of weapon that gets upgraded over time, like a Legacy Weapon or Ancestral Weapon (The Tessaiga: A morphing Bastard Sword with a few thing like dispel Magic, adamantine, and other things).

Most likely Ancestral since it was given to him by his father, and it's shown becoming more powerful the more he trains with it could possibly be both? Not sure if that would work with RAW.

Well, the Tessaiga is technically an intelligent weapon, with high level spells wielded into it as spell like abilities. It even has the special purpose put there by his father, which is actually 'defend humanity'

The Kaze No Kishu, or Wind Scar, has to be duplicated by some spell or other that creates a tornado. I forget what does that.

Backlash Wave seems to be Holy Word/Banishment/Dispel Evil or something like that, as it specifically messes up only Youkai.

The red blade breaks barriers, so that's greater dispel magic.

Adamant Barrage...I'm not sure what spell you'd use to describe that.

Dragon Scale Tessaiga does some sort of permanent energy drain, he gains power.

Mediou Zangetsuha is an offensive Plane Shift/Banishment, or even the Last Judgment out of the book of exalted deeds, as it pretty much sends people to hell. In 'cutting' form, the Mediou Zangetsuha flings individual pieces of people into hell.

Creating the Blades of Blood and Iron Reaver Soul Stealer attacks are spell like abilities that he gets as opposed to the usual half fiend powers, most of which don't suit him well, and he has his specials at will. Blades of Blood seems to be mostly about 'the more damage you do to me, the more I do to you.' Somehow, he needs the 'scent' special quality, of course.

Also problematic is his 'full youkai' side, which I suppose doubles his physical stats and wisdom, but halves int and charisma.

It's intelligent because it has his father's will in it when it's made of his father's fang. Later, it's made of his own fang, and thus has his own will within it.

I'd be very interested in a high-op slinger and esp-user, though I think we'd have to get Tippy-level stuff to enable her several mile-radius range via her esp ability. Also problematic cause she has some other abilities that are just hard to classify.

On Advent Children Cloud, he's some sort of Barbarian/Swordsage gish.

The key, for Cloud, is that he needs to have absurdly good Armor Class despite being unarmored. And his trademark ribbon gives him full immunity to every save or suck and save or lose effect imaginable. (it does not make him immune to save or die or direct damage, however.) Naturally, he has Jotunbrood, monkey grip, and very possibly half fiend (JENOVA cells). Or even the epic paragon template (S Class JENOVA cells), depending on how powerful you think being a SOLDIER is. You could make a pretty damn good argument for Sephiroth having Paragon, and if he has it, Cloud has it too. He's just slightly less powerful.

As before, however, his limit breaks are problematic, considering he can take down Bahamut's Avatar (Bahamut Sin) with one of them, and it wasn't even his BEST limit!

Lol, Shiki would be a nightmare, especially if we go for some of the upgrades he got outside of the anime. Eyes of Death Perception is really a crazy ability to try to model, since it would be a death effect, but then that is blockable, and the entire flavor is that it's not, and that everything has them (that is the lines and weak spots that connect them to the Root of Akasha). It comes with a drawback (at least on Touya Shiki...hehe, Ryougi Shiki, lol), but I don't see this being model-able outside of something like a seriously refluffed Soul Eater or something, and even that doesn't cover the drawback. Or the item breakage.

But I would seriously love to see Arcueid done. Especially before Shiki had his way with her, with his plot kitty-enabled ambush, lol. I'm a big Arc fan; by far my favorite character to play in the Melty Blood, ex al.

He's emboldened and underlined because he's a special request by me, and more than any other I would hugely appreciate it if someone were capable of creating him. His Gura Gura no Mi abilities don't even need to be incorporated, a devil fruit-less Whitebeard will be fine too. I just absolutely love Whitebeard. Paragon template is allowed - nay, probably needed for Whitebeard.

He took about 267 sword wounds, 152 gunshot wounds, 46 wounds from cannonballs, and got half of his face blasted off, resulting in 465 injuries in total. In additon, Whitebeard was on the receiving end of Kizaru's laser beams and Akainu's two magma blasts. And even after taking so much damage in his already weakened state, he died standing, an impressive feat when compared to other characters.
Easily my favorite anime character, I would be absolutely over the moon with happiness if someone managed to create him as a D&D character accurate to his endurance, power, health, loyalty to his comrades, protection of his crew, so on so forth.

I apologise if this appears selfish of me.

Keroro probably uses some kind of WBL-mancy build, since he has access to ridiculous amounts of equipment out of apparently nowhere. He seems to be focused on social skills like Bluff and Diplomacy (mostly to keep up his troops' morale and loyalty while he procrastinates about their mission). He also has lots of ranks in Craft (gunpla) and Knowledge (gunpla).

His class and level seem to be largely irrelevant, but Rogue would be a good place to start (a variety of social and subterfuge-related skills, and poor Fort and Will saves).

Foreword: Adaptations Are Weird
Unlike Kirito, the Black Swordsman of Aincrad (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=17503269&postcount=187), Asuna doesn't see much combat. She fights alongside Kirito, yes, but overall she's made out to be a rather powerless character - heck, she even gets Stuffed in the Fridge during the ALFheim arc. I've only watched the Sword Art Online anime so I don't know if she's any different in the manga, but I've built her as best I could based on what little I've been given.

Weaponry: Lambent Light
Asuna only uses one weapon: her rapier, Lambent Light. She has no shield and no secondary weapon, and she usually doesn't dual-wield it. Of course, in DnD 3.5e, this is possibly the worst combat style. Even unarmed strikes get some support; out of dozens of splatbooks, einhanders only have two or three feats. Half of those don't even need you to fight with one weapon!

However, there are ways to build a character like this. This Asuna will be using a singular weapon: a +1 Rapier with the Adaptive quality. Most importantly, this allows it to be used with the Iaijutsu Master's various katana-specific abilities and with the Shadow Blade feat.

Combat: Triple Threat!
Asuna has three different methods of combat available to her.
A Running Start: Ideally, Asuna will rely on her speed to deal damage while keeping out of harm's way.
Rapid Blitz lets her make three "attack actions" while moving her full 60ft movement speed each round. These attacks are made at +18/+13/+8. If she adds in the Wind Stride maneuver, her movement speed increases to 80ft.
One Strike, Two Cuts lets her deal damage twice with a single attack action.
Child of Shadow grants her 20% concealment if she moves at least 10 feet in a round.
In combination, these abilities let her make six attacks per round against any targets within range of her 60ft movement speed. Her attack routine is +18/+18/+13/+13/+8/+8.
Note: It's unclear whether these two vague and rarely-used rules combine like this. However, I have asked (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=17558050&postcount=308) about it and I received a sorta-confirmation (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=17559431&postcount=309) that it probably would. Since the Spring Attack line of feats don't benefit from ubercharging or two-weapon fighting, this is probably the best way to make it an effective combat style.

Standing Still: If she's in a situation where she can't actually escape an enemy's threatened range, she'll fall back on reflexes and finesse.
Dodge grants her +1 AC against a single target. Midnight Dodge grants her +2 AC against a second target.
Word Given Form grants her a 50% miss chance against both her Dodge and Midnight Dodge targets.
Elusive Target lets her remove her Dodge and Midnight Dodge targets' Power Attack benefits while forcing them to keep the penalties.
Combat Finesse grants her some extra AC against all attacks, and Defend the Weak lets her share this bonus with an adjacent ally.
Wild Fighting effectively gives her the ability to flurry with any weapon, taking a -2 penalty to all attacks so that she can make an extra attack each round.
In combination, these abilities gives her a high chance of dodging attacks while reducing the potential damage of any attacks which do get through.

Striking First and Last: Asuna acts before you do, and she knows where to strike best.
Iaijutsu Focus grants her between +4d6 and +8d6 bonus damage on attacks made against flat-footed targets after she draws a weapon.
Strike from the Void lets her add her Charisma modifier to her Iaijutsu Focus damage dice. For every +1d6 Iaijutsu Focus damage, she adds an additioanl +3 damage from her Charisma modifier. The running total is between +4d6+12 and +8d6+24 bonus damage.
Lightning Blade lets her add her Charisma modifier to initiative checks.
Improved Initiative grants her a flat +4 bonus to initiative checks.
In combination, these abilities give her a chance to end the fight before it begins. Maybe.

Assorted Benefits: X to Y Wuz Here
Asuna has three primary attributes: Dexterity, Charisma and Intelligence.
She uses her Dexterity bonus for her attack rolls (Weapon Finesse) and adds it to her damage rolls (Shadow Blade).
She adds her Charisma modifier to AC (Battle Dancer), Saves (Divine Grace). As mentioned above, she also adds it to her initiative checks (Lighting Blade) and Iaijutsu Focus damage dice (Strike from the Void).
She adds her Intelligence modifier to AC (Canny Defense).

Varia: Skills and Talents
Asuna's got a few other skills. Profession (Cook) has obvious relevance, but she's also got some ridiculous Jump and Tumble skill checks via Acrobatics, Leap of the Clouds and her movement speed bonuses. Although her deurantagonist status keeps us from being sure, it seems reasonable to give her Diplomacy (for when the times when she actually gets to speak for herself).

Unearthed Arcana: Human Paragon.
Oriental Adventures: Blade Dancer, Iaijutsu Master, Iaijutsu Focus.
Tome of Battle: Swordsage, Shadow Blade, maneuvers and stances.
Tome of Magic: Truespeak, Word Given Form (sidebar, page 218).
Magic of Incarnum: Azurin, Midnight Dodge.
Complete Warrior: Elusive Target
Player's Handbook II: Bounding Assault, Rapid Blitz
Races of Destiny: Able Learner
Champions of Valor: Paladin Substitution Levels (Golden Cup, Lion Legionnaire)

Could you make alterations to Kirito and Asuna and submit them as a duo that are basically... well, perfect together?

I honestly hate them, but this isn't the place to talk about it. The DnD 3.5e versions we've made work together in that Kirito tanks the hits while Asuna stays out of harm's way. That's as much combat synergy as I recall from the anime, and that's good enough for me.

While I am an avid fan of One Piece, due to my lack of knowledge of Tome of Battle, I can't tackle Whitebeard, at least from what I researched. Making Whitebeard a Dwarf (Ironic, I know) with the Deepstone Sentinel class seeming perfect for him, due to the Stone Dragon maneuvers that mimic his natural abilities and DF powers. I'll leave this here as a suggestion to anyone who knows ToB better than me and wants to tackle Whitebeard.

Woah, here comes Naruto!

Wu-Jen 4/Warblade 1/Jade Phoenix Mage 10/Uncanny Trickster (JPM) 3/Archmage 1/Warblade 1 Human

STR: 16 DEX: 12 CON: 16 INT: 16 WIS: 10 CHA: 10

Stat bumps are 1 to INT and 4 to STR

1 Power Attack/Improved Bull Rush/Improved Unarmed Strike/Flaw(Spell Focus)/Flaw(Spell Focus)
3 Open Feat
6 Superior Unarmed Strike
9 Shock Trooper
12 Skill Focus -- Spellcraft
15 Open Feat (powerful charge? leap attack?)
18 Martial Study -- White Raven Hammer

Here, we gain +16 BAB and 2 7th level spell (Body Outside Body and Giant Size), as well as CL 14

He can summon as much "shadow clones" by using Body Outside Body by designating High Arcana on it, allowing every single Body Outside Body clone to do it themselves twice, and with White Raven goodies and Devoted Spirit, you can do some beautiful things. Namely, War Masters Charge.

Say we fill every space 30 feet away from us around us. That is 34 clones attacking, each dealing +25 damage, and gaining cumulative +2 attack bonus each time. Then, each clone can use War Master's Charge again themselves. You yourself can buy belt of battle and give yourself an extra full round (War Masters Charge). Not only that, you can do White Raven's Tactics each time, allowing everyone a full-round attack and maneuver recharge. Use the stance Swarm Tactics. Naruto Uzumaki 2K Barrage anyone? (http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Naruto_Uzumaki_Two_Thousand_Combo) Not only that, but you can use emerald immolation on each one, dealing massive damage.

For Nine-Tails, there are Polymorph(Dire Tiger(reflavor fox)+Giant Size to any size. When Giant sizing, make sure to use a Ioun stone and other boosts to get to Colossal.

Rasengan is White Raven Hammer, stunning opponents, allowing your clones an opportunity to either do the same thing and stun lock, or full attacks all around.

I couldn't figure out how to replicate Rasenshuriken, and keep in mind this would be around Pein, as i couldn't incorporate all the things he can use now.

Ways to improve this is to fit in Pounce as well as Transcend Mortality for improved power.

I imagine there are Wu-Jen spells to cover this. All elemental spells are part of their spell list, as said by Spell Compendium, so there are the Orb of ___ spells, and Scorching Ray works if you believe they are just multiple shots. Then you also need to add the feat for metamagic to not make it suck.

4th Raikage, A (Naruto)

I couldn't really think of anything, as he mostly is very fast, nigh invulnerable, and strong due to his lightning armor. I'm not exactly the host for these threads, so these are just my opinions.

1. I'd consider it to be kinda cheaty, what with all of the other builds being non-gestalt. I have the same feelings about epic levels; just use those 20 levels as best you can.

2. How cheesy is this cheese? Is it relying (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=17562303&postcount=94) on a certain rules interpretation of One Strike, Two Cuts and Spring Attack? Is it the Wish and the Word (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/The_Wish_and_the_Word_%283.5e_Optimized_Character_ Build%29)-level antics? There's ultimately no single answer, and the definition of 'cheese' stretches between different people. Example, please?

I think I'm going to give it a try.

Here comes Guts

Race: Human. There are theories he might not be fully human, in which case I think Goliath would be most appriorate
Abbility Scores: Str > Con > Wis > Dex > Int > Cha
Guts Strength is extraordinary and he had also shown ability to take a lot of punishment and displayed some strong willpower. He had also shown pretty good acrobatic skills and cunning.

Build:
Pre Eclipse: Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 4
Black Swordsman: Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 4/Urban Ranger 1/Martial Wizard 1
Since finding Berserker Armor: Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 4/Urban Ranger 1/Martial Wizard 1/Frenzied Berserker 4

No martial classes because, as it's many times shown, Guts doesn't have the finesse and skill of Griffith or Serpico, but makes up for it with brutal stregth.

Breakhtought:
Level 1: Power Attack, Monkey Grip (Human only), Destructive Rage (flaw*), Intimidating Rage (flaw*), Pounce, Illteracy, Rage 1/day
Level 2: Uncanny Dodge
Level 3: Cleave, Improved Bull's Rush
Level 4: Endurance
Level 5: T-T
Level 6: Leap Attack, Shock Trooper
Level 7: Urban Tracking, Favored Enemy: Apostles
Level 8: Stedafast Determination, Familiar (Puck), Casting but not enough Int to get any spells
Level 9: Iron Will, Frenzy 1/day, Diehard
Level 10: Supreme Cleave
Level 11: Frenzy 2/day
Level 12: Idominable Soul, Deathless Frenzy

* - Official flaws don't seem to fit Guts, they might be custom made. He might have acquired those flaws later (losing hand and eye?) and receiving the feats only then.

BAB: +11, Base Saves: Fort: +11 Ref: +4 Will: +7
Skills: A lot of ranks in Jump and Intimidate, some in Climb, maybe few in Tumble.

Berserker Armor, prostetic hand and Dragonslayer might have to be custom made.

Now some requests on my own
Fullmetal Alchemist: Envy, Wrath, Lan Fan, Mei, Pride, Kimblee
Berserk: Serpico, Schirke, Ishidro, Zod, Sonia
Fate/zero: Lancer, Caster, Berserker
Devilman: Akira Fudou/Devilman, Sirene
Fist of the North Star: Kenshiro, Raoh
Dragon Ball Z: Vegeta
Akira: Tetsuo
Drifters: Joan d'Arc
Fate franiche as whole: Saber

The kind of light, diet cheese that almost every table would probably find acceptable. Mostly using questionable RAW reading and overpowered (StP Erudite) ingredients to create a T3 (I ALMOST ALWAYS shoot for T3. Just because) build.

First:

These new spells can be common spells chosen from the sorcerer/wizard spell list, or they can be unusual spells that the sorcerer has gained some understanding of by study.

Taking RAW, well, RAW. Among all the things, using this to build a themed sorcerer list. Druid, Cleric - hogging all the relevant spells.

2. Spelldancer fun with the pretty standard exhaustion and con damage reductions.

"From the sorcerer/wizard spell list" and "unusual spells" need not be mutually exclusive, but I see where you're coming from. On a third hand, we're not using homebrew so just adding new spells to the sorcerer spell list willy-nilly does seem like cheating (even if the incredibly vague "RAW" says you can do it. Wizards have that text too, but spell creation is tricky stuff.).

See, this is debatable - if I use the "cheesy" RAW to add some thematic Conjuration spells (mostly ice-related. Yep, that's for my Gray), does it not fall into "understanding of by study"? I can easily work around it, but this makes it easier. I'd gladly hear more opinions as of how to treat it. google didn't give a definite answer.

You could just use the spells from Frostburn and/or the Spell Thematics feat from Magic of Faerun. Heck, ice is specifically called out as one of the possible themes.

Going off the wiki, since I don't actually watch Fairy Tail:
Ice-Make: Lance could easily be Icelance, from spell Compendium.
Ice-Make: Block could be a thematic Wings of Cover spell, from Races of the Dragon (make him a Silverbrow Human; Silver Dragons breathe cold, after all).
Ice-Make: Shield is a thematic Shield/Mage Armour/Luminous Armour spell. Maybe just an Ice Shield from Frostburn?
Ice-Make: Floor is a thematic Grease spell.

And so on.

Those I've done as they are pretty easy. As of PHB2 (I... think) I don't even need Spell Thematics to do this - the spells can appear any way I want, as long as they can be recognized.
I'm actually looking for more... let's say obscure ways Gray uses his Ice Make, the kind Prestidigitation doesn't cover. As well as weapon creation in ways other than dipping Druid or Cleric (Or Disciple of Thrym, while we're at it). Well, anyway. I'm off to finish this.

Eren Jaeger (Attack on Titan) (post Battle of Trost)

Can we use Pathfinder stuff?

If so, he's a Ranger (Favored Enemy: Giants)/Synthesist Summoner (With too low a Charisma to cast spells)

Man on Fire

I'll try making Envy from FMA. Here is my try:

Race: Changeling
Ability Scores: CHA > INT > WIS > DEX > CON > STR
Envy is well known smooth talker and shapeshifter, known for his ability to impersonate other people. This requires him to have high Charisma and high Intelligence for skills (also, I'll assume he can take Able Learner so there si that). He needs at least 13 WIS for some feats that make him better shapeshifter.
Envy;s true form is horribly weak and therefore good way to reflect it would be to give it really low ability scores, he's going to spent most of his time in wild shape or quick change anyway

Build: Wildshape Ranger 3/Master of Many Forms 6/Warshaper 5
Level brakthrough:

1: Able Learner, Aberration Blood(*), Inhuman Reach (*), minor change shape (su), track, Wild Empathy, Favored Enemy (humans)
2: Wild Shape
3: Alterness, Endurance
4: Shifter's Speech, Improved Wild shape (humanoid)
5: improved wild shape (giant: Large)
6: Quick Change, Fast wild shape, improved wild shape (monstrous humanoid)
7: Improved wild shape (fey; Tiny)
8: Improved wild shape (vermin)
9: Perfect Reflection ,Improved wild shape (aberration; Huge)
10: Morphic immunities, morphic weapons
11: Morphic body
12: Disturbing Viasage, Morphic reach
13: Morphic healing
14:Flashmorph/multimorph

* - Flaws: Frail & Pathetic

Skills: Max Bluff, Disguise, Intimidate, Diplomacy, decent DEX-based skills, maybe okay climb.
BAB: +7, base saves Fort: +8 Ref: +8 Will: +5

How it plays: Envy Wilshapes into humanoid and sents hsi day as one. When he needs to change into another humanoid he uses is changeling abilities. In combat he wildshapes into his mosntrous form.

Work in progress, feedback appreciated.

Maka's D&D 3.5 Treatment
Maka's the main force behind her and Soul, as is the case with Meisters. As such, she needs to be a strong combatant, which is why she got the full BAB. Why Paladin? 1. She fights evil for a Lawful Good cause and acts like a Paladin. 2. Smite Evil. This is the basis of the Witch Hunt line of finishers from the anime (See Teamwork section below). Maka doesn't cast spells at all, so the average Wisdom score doesn't necessarily hurt her, and it can be bolstered with items. And the Divine Armor feat allows her to replicate the Black Blood if she needs it, even though that's more powered through Soul. Maka's Magic Circle also replicates her Grigori Soul and her Detect Evil and eventually Locate Possession and a Ring of True Seeing allow her to replicate the Soul Possession.

Soul's 3.5 Treatment
Soul is in truth, more of a support character, being a focus for Maka's abilities and enhancing both her and her allies abilities and performance. As such, it came down to me choosing Bard or Marshal for this role. Bard felt right for Soul, however, his music doesn't translate well while in weapon form, as he has no hands to use music with. So it turned into Marshal, which fits a little better with what the Auras can do for the party. At low levels, Soul uses a custom item of Rary's Telepathic Bond to communicate with Maka in battle and buff her, and as soon as he can, he replaces that with a Helm of Telepathy, allowing him to use his Auras (which require being heard) across all allies. This is following the idea that since Soul becomes Ethereal when possessing the weapon, he takes his equipment with him, allowing him to use things like the Helm of Telepathy. This build also reflects Soul's growth as a character, starting out as a human Paragon with intent to perform like his brother, and then he found out he's a Demon Weapon, and he begins studying to become a Weapon, culminating in his 4th level, the start of Fiend of Possession. As he and Maka work together, they both grow, and Soul becomes able to bolster Maka's abilities with his Auras.

Maka and Soul as a Team
Maka and Soul can work individually as I've built them, but together, they are a force to be reckoned with. Maka fights primarily for the duo while Soul supports her by in the first round, using his Aura to buff their initiative score and then buff her damage on a Charge when its their turn.
Demon Weapon Form
Maka and Soul do have one advantage of Soul's abilities and their chosen form of Combat: They share a weapon. This allows them to upgrade it more easily by pooling their money for this purpose, making it a bit easier to get their hands on something like a +6 Holy Greater Dispelling Sudden Stunning Keen Adamantine Scythe. Even then, when Soul gets to level 10, he can add up to a +6 bonus to their weapon, allowing it to hit harder, or he can add new enchantments depending on the situation, like Flying to replicate that manga scenario where Maka rides Soul like a Witch on a broomstick, Defending to add to Maka's AC (which would be impressive already with appropriate armor), or Valorious and Holy Burst to add to Maka's Smite Evil+Power Attack.
Witch Hunt/Majin Hunt/Kishin Hunt
Maka and Soul's Signature Technique through Soul Resonance. Maka can do this on her own with Smite Evil+Power Attack, but early on, Soul adds in the Holy Enchantment or the Valorious Enchantment to buff that damage. As the pair progress, they can improve their shared weapon, allowing Soul to play around with other useful Enchantments without having to spend money on them. At their best, Kishin Hunt allows them to Smite Evil against someone with I'd say a -4 to Attack, then that adds a +8 to their attack damage, as well as the Charisma bonus from Smite Evil, a second or more Charisma Bonus from Divine Might, an extra point of damage to Evil creatures (1d4 to evil outsiders and evil undead), and then Valorous from Soul DOUBLES the damage done. There's plenty of other add-ons that can come in here (Such as the class features from Fist of Raziel), but I'll stop there.

Alright, I think that's everything!

does it count that I made Miyu Edelfelt, Luvia Edelfelt, and Kuro Von Einzbern as iconic characters in my project to adapt Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299771) to D&D?

Woah, woah, woah, when did this thread start up again? *cracks fingers* Let's do this.

Okay, so this is the importantest question ever. Well, questions.
1. Gestalt build- is it a viable option?

Followed by
2. How much cheese is acceptable?

1. Yes.

2. Yes. But really, I'd say stick with minimal cheese. Some people will want to use these characters themselves, and not everyone's DM will allow cheese.

I think I'm going to give it a try.

Here comes Guts

Race: Human. There are theories he might not be fully human, in which case I think Goliath would be most appriorate
Abbility Scores: Str > Con > Wis > Dex > Int > Cha
Guts Strength is extraordinary and he had also shown ability to take a lot of punishment and displayed some strong willpower. He had also shown pretty good acrobatic skills and cunning.

Build:
Pre Eclipse: Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 4
Black Swordsman: Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 4/Urban Ranger 1/Martial Wizard 1
Since finding Berserker Armor: Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 4/Urban Ranger 1/Martial Wizard 1/Frenzied Berserker 4

No martial classes because, as it's many times shown, Guts doesn't have the finesse and skill of Griffith or Serpico, but makes up for it with brutal stregth.

Breakhtought:
Level 1: Power Attack, Monkey Grip (Human only), Destructive Rage (flaw*), Intimidating Rage (flaw*), Pounce, Illteracy, Rage 1/day
Level 2: Uncanny Dodge
Level 3: Cleave, Improved Bull's Rush
Level 4: Endurance
Level 5: T-T
Level 6: Leap Attack, Shock Trooper
Level 7: Urban Tracking, Favored Enemy: Apostles
Level 8: Stedafast Determination, Familiar (Puck), Casting but not enough Int to get any spells
Level 9: Iron Will, Frenzy 1/day, Diehard
Level 10: Supreme Cleave
Level 11: Frenzy 2/day
Level 12: Idominable Soul, Deathless Frenzy

* - Official flaws don't seem to fit Guts, they might be custom made. He might have acquired those flaws later (losing hand and eye?) and receiving the feats only then.

BAB: +11, Base Saves: Fort: +11 Ref: +4 Will: +7
Skills: A lot of ranks in Jump and Intimidate, some in Climb, maybe few in Tumble.

Berserker Armor, prostetic hand and Dragonslayer might have to be custom made.

Now some requests on my own
Fullmetal Alchemist: Envy, Wrath, Lan Fan, Mei, Pride, Kimblee
Berserk: Serpico, Schirke, Ishidro, Zod, Sonia
Fate/zero: Lancer, Caster, Berserker
Devilman: Akira Fudou/Devilman, Sirene
Fist of the North Star: Kenshiro, Raoh
Dragon Ball Z: Vegeta
Akira: Tetsuo
Drifters: Joan d'Arc
Fate franiche as whole: Saber

His loss of his arm and eye, along with his gain of the berserker armor and prosthetic hand, are all mid/post-hell. The listed Guts is Pre-Hell. Which one is this build more relevant to?

Could you list your requests in the format given in the original post? It makes it 10x easier on me to add them to the list that way.

I'm working on a build for Kenshin Himura (Rurouni Kenshin) as a Samuai 1 / Warbalde 11 / Iaijutsu Master 8, but I'm not happy with it yet. I'll post it once it's done.

As for requests:
Eren Jaeger (Attack on Titan) (post Battle of Trost)
Spike Siegel (Cowboy Bebop)
Sagara Sanosuke (Rurouni Kenshin) (post meeting Anji / Kyoto arc).

I'll add them to the list now.
Eren post Battle of Trost would be easily, EASILY do-able if there were some way to go Colossal via Rage. Then I guess he could go Monk for the unarmed damage boost since he a strict code of "KILL ALL THE TITANS ARGHHHHHH", slap a few proficiencies on and the rest of his feats are just Iron Will. Simple.

Spike's anything but Lawful Good, so Monk's kinda not an option unless you can argue that he's Lawful Neutral. Because Flurry of Blows would be 100% accurate to his combat skill with his kicks.

He's always unarmored, from what I remember, so he'd get the unarmored bonuses. That's about all I can think of for Spike.

I don't even know who the last one is so I've got nothing for them.

* - Flaws: Frail & Pathetic

Seems accurate to me, from what I can remember. Is this more accurate to FMA Envy or FMA: Brotherhood Envy? I can't really remember the difference, but I know Brotherhood Envy needs a Burn Heal.

does it count that I made Miyu Edelfelt, Luvia Edelfelt, and Kuro Von Einzbern as iconic characters in my project to adapt Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299771) to D&D?

Unless it's true to the 3e/3.5 books, I'm afraid it's not acceptable. I'm not the correct person to judge that kind of thing, so I ask one of the more experienced members of the thread: Following the criteria of this thread and my previous threads, are bekeleven's builds acceptable?

Alright, time to give the Soul Eater main protagonists their due.

Kickass, I'll add it to the list! Don't suppose you could tackle Death and his Scythe? :belkar:

Alright, I think that's all of 'em. Time to get to adding things to the list.

Can we use Pathfinder stuff?

If so, he's a Ranger (Favored Enemy: Giants)/Synthesist Summoner (With too low a Charisma to cast spells)

Pathfinder's allowed as a last resort. But while I understand Favored Enemy would be Giants, wouldn't that make him want to punch himself in the face when he's in Titan form?

Oh wait.

I could see anywhere from true-neutral to lawful good for Spike. On the one hand, his past suggests non-lawful alignment - although he did always act according to a code of honour. On the other hand, his current occupation revolves around bringing criminals in. He tries to obey the law, and his only real on screen breaches of it are either morally motivated, talking/bribing(implicitly) cops into giving him information on people they want to bring in (so furthering the cause of lawfulness), or failure to avoid collateral damage (which he is shown paying for). As for Good-Evil, he is shown to be frequently self-interested (at least to an extent that suggests neutral), but is also shown to take substantial personal risks to help people for no reward (often costing him a potential reward).

To be honest, I could see an argument for a borderline good alignment, even lawful good (bordering on true/lawful neutral).

You're right that monk may be a difficult fit. Unarmed Swordsage might work, as most combats shown don't last long enough for him to run out of moves. Probably with a focus on Setting Sun (for the counters) and Diamond Mind. Hmm, food for thought.

He always seems to be in a somewhat relaxed concentration, so Diamond Mind would work. He uses guns too, remember.

LN Human Paragon 3/Unarmed Swordsage 15/Monk 1/Gunslinger 1 (Gunslinger's Pathfinder but guns aren't in 3.5 so it's the only option that I know of)?

It'd qualify him for 9th level maneuvers, he's not gonna wear armor so losing the armor proficiency means nothing. Monk-like progression, shooty shooty bang bang, and he can now go
http://i.imgur.com/TRtZxOt.gif
to his heart's content. Slap some unarmed strike increasers on him and he'll be kicking people's ass in no time.

Concentration boosters and Skill focuses wouldn't hurt either, but his Diamond Mind maneuvers definitely would. It's a shame that with Swordsage he can't qualify for Iron Heart maneuvers, otherwise Stormguard Warrior would be tons of fun.

His loss of his arm and eye, along with his gain of the berserker armor and prosthetic hand, are all mid/post-hell. The listed Guts is Pre-Hell. Which one is this build more relevant to?

Both. Pre-Hell Guts is Guts up to level 6, you can in that variation ignore two flaws and feats he gets from them. Guts from Level 7+ is post-hell Guts, I might add this information to the original post.

Could you list your requests in the format given in the original post? It makes it 10x easier on me to add them to the list that way.

Okay
Akira Fudou/Devilman (Devilman)
Berserker (Fate/zero)
Caster (Fate/zero)
Dio Brando (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure; Phantom Blood Dio &)
Greed II (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Ishidro (Berserk)

Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)
Joan d'Arc (Drifters)
Joseph Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure; Battle Thendency Joseph)

Solf J. Kimblee (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Sonia (Berserk)

Is this more accurate to FMA Envy or FMA: Brotherhood Envy? I can't really remember the difference, but I know Brotherhood Envy needs a Burn Heal.

I only know manga, so it's probably Brotherhood Envy.

I had a query combined with a thought. Why is White Beard's name underlined and highlighted? Is it because he is awesome?

Also: We calculated that based purely on the White beard War arc, an estimate of his HP and Con score puts the con over 100 and hp itself at somewhere about 8000hp.

This post (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=17555335&postcount=90) explains why he's underlined and emboldened.

As you said though, that's based PURELY on the War arc. Did these calculations take into account the health he lost due to his illness and the fact that he definitely wasn't at full health from the start? And does the constitution take into account the fortitude saves he would have to make every 6 seconds because of his illness?

Yes. We assumed he was at under health, had con penalties for age an illness, and that he was making regular fort saves.

Edit: That also assumed he took a minimal number of critical hits, and that the fire arms had minimal static dmg such as dex to dmg, etc. We assumed he had to have a con score above 100 and over 8000hp (with diehard and probably the mythic ability to go double your con score before dieing, or possibly more than that) at the START of the war, illness in full effect, etc.

So this is the absolute MINIMAL health he could have? If you could link me to the thread/post it would be greatly appreciated.

i wisH I could, but we were all IRL off line when we did this, it was just a weekday afternoon at the community college and we were a bunch of huge One Piece fans. It took us like two hours and I wish I knew where we put the notes, cause I think I used a google doc, but damnit if I can't find it.

If I can find the notes/math we used i'll gladly post it, but this was all estimations.

I made an rough Edward Elric. It isn't perfect and I made it a loooong time ago. Also, the ability scores are kinda whack bc of the way they were rolled.

I was going to make a cleaner, more functional Ed for a campaign, but didn't have the time. Honestly, I'd get rid of the Monk 2 anyway, it's pretty dumb. (Edit: or at least swap it to sword sage)

Considering what we estimated his health at? I'd need 40+ levels just to justify the constitution and hp. I'll let you know if I feel like i have the time for tackling him at another point, but right now i'm gonna have to decline.

With a d10 HD, a con of 100, toughness, and pathfinder traits, mythic, and favored class bonuses it would take... 125 levels to get 8000hp. That's maxed hp at all levels.

I REALLY need to find those damned notes. I hope uriah has them...

Just a heads up. I'll be doing Suigintou from Rozen Maiden. I need some small/tiny construct race options for a sorcerer.

It'd be nice to see Lum Invader from Urusei Yatsura. Basically she just flies around, infinitely spams lightning attacks, is very popular/charismatic, and has all sorts of random alien tech. So...Warlock? As long as you can turn eldritch blast into electric, that's your shock attacks and flight. Class's background ties in the demonic Oni heritage, and Deceive Item helps with using/making the "technology."

For ones already chosen:

Lelouch: I think a simple Beguiler / Mindbender dip with Mindsight build works good here, though it is annoying you have to spend one-two (if you want regular and lesser) of your precious "pick an enchant/illusion spell to add" choices to get the namesake ability of Geass. Max Int, high Cha, decent but not great Wis, horrible Str and Con. Grey Elf would be a good race.

Cutey Honey: Warforged (cause...Android) Master of Many Forms Wildshape Ranger build. It's...the closest D&D gets to a pure shapeshifter class. Possibly with Vow of Poverty and/or Nymph's Kiss, but VoP is pretty crippling.

I know Xaroth wants the builds in Iron Chef style, but are Iron Chef rules in place? Dragon Magazine 354 has 3.5 updates of modrons. Monodrones and Duodrones I believe are small.

EDIT: I just looked up what Suigintou looks like. Warforged Scout might be the way to go to start for her there.

I would be up for statting up Clare from Claymore.

The scouts get a Cha penalty, though. I guess I could try and counteract that with Unseelie, which would also give flight.

I might do an Awakened Construct, since the dolls themselves are often described as living, anyway.

Also, this needs some Kneesocks. She's so awesome she won an eyesight contest while needing glasses.

are we always assume level 20 builds? Because in all honesty, a lot of these characters come off more as level 2 characters who happened to have really awesome gear.

I actually just devised a build for Ed and as soon as I allocate the skill points, I'd be ready to Iron Chef it and submit the build.

I assume whatever I feel is fitting. Especially with ongoing series, because we always need to take in consideration things the character might yet show. That's why I didn't went all the way with my Guts build, as we don't know what he'll become in the future.

OK, due to having spent a number of years *ahem* 'borrowing' liberally from various anime & games for a d20 modern game, I am actually sitting on a moderately sized supply of d20m-mode anime characters, built with varying levels of character design experience, homebrew material & awareness of the original series. Of interest to you guys are the following (organised by quality of conversion & usefulness):

*****
Balkus (Biobooster Armour Guyver)
Edogawa Conan (Detective Conan)
Seras Victoria (Hellsing)
Sir Integra Hellsing (Hellsing)

****
Chris Vineyard a.k.a Sharon Vineyard a.k.a Vermouth a.k.a Carmen Sandiego (Detective Conan/Carmen Sandiego)
Kurei of the Hokage (Flame of Recca)
Miko Mido (La Blue Girl - don't judge me)
Mouri Ran (Detective Conan)
Nancy Makuhari (Read or Die)

***
Kaoru Kogakanei (Flame of Recca)
Renge (Flame of Recca)
Suzuki Sonoko (Detective Conan)
Tokiya Mikagami (Flame of Recca)

**
Alkanphel (Biobooster Armour Guyver)
Dio Brando (Jojo's bizarre Adventure)

* (Invalidated by Campaign Changes)
Kaidoh Kaoru (Prince of Tennis)
Takeshi Momoshiro (Prince of Tennis)

If you're interested, I'll put them up. Possibly after updating them to more reasonable mechanical standards.

Well some of the building competition threads are slow so I got a chance to build my version of Clare from Claymore which is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now—even before the start of this thread.

Anime Features Showcase
Preemptive Sense: This is Clare’s innate ability which allows her to survive attacks that would leave even the higher ranked Claymores devastated. It is represented in her build in various ways. First being a wildhunt shifter grants her the ability to sniff out foes via scent—much like her ability to detect Yoma presences. Her use of the Combat Form feat tree also represents her preemptive senses by giving her various bonuses representing different effects going on around her that she can avoid. Finally when she enters the Serene Guardian prestige class, her ability to form a resonance with her opponent represents her ability to beat the Yoma (or Awakened Being) at its own game. Best part about the resonances is that there is no saving throw to the effects!
Yoma Powers: To represent Clare’s nonhuman side, this build makes her a shifter and gives her the major demon bloodline. In both the anime and manga, Clare gains Ilena’s right arm to allow her to use the Quicksword. Clare is never as good at it as Ilena was but it is represented in her build with the dancing mongoose maneuver and the growing iterative of her BAB. Raging mongoose would have been better but Clare’s initiator level is not high enough to get it. In a standard D&D game, Clare could get her weapon the speed enchantment to gain another attack.
Half Awakened and Awakened States: In the series, we see Clare undergo transformations that give her more strength, speed, and endurance. This build utilizes this with both the shifting and eventually the Warshaper prestige class. The absolute steel stance adds to her speed along with the Extra Shifter Trait (longstrider). The other Shifter feats let Clare both extend her transformations and increase the number of transformations per day. The audience knows when Clare is in an awakened state by the fact that her body changes. Shifting is a good approximation for that. And like all anime characters, Clare has maximum ranks in Jump and very high ranks in Tumble that allow her to move across the battlefield and then jump high to hack off the opposing Yoma’s limbs.

Design Notes (or Clearing Up Possible Questions)
Isn’t Clare supposed to be human?: Technically yes, but if she were built with human as her base race, a lot of her innate abilities then have to come from maneuvers or other sources. Using shifter as the base race and adding the major demon bloodline, this Clare can replicate what she does in the anime that much easier. Plus it gives her the shapechanger subtype needed to enter Warshaper without having to resort to rituals in Savage Species. In Eberron, shifters can pass for humans when they are not shifting so the shifting can be refluffed as Clare going into awakened states. Plus this along with the major demon bloodline can represent all of the changes that a “normal human” undergoes to become a Claymore.
Doesn’t Serene Guardian specify that the character has to be part of the Luminous Order?: Yes it does. However, the Luminous Order can easily be refluffed to be the Organization. Best part about the prestige class is that one can keep all class abilities and advance in the prestige class even if their affiliation score falls below the required level. Since the class abilities were the draw in the first place, it is good that Clare gets to keep them even after her break from the Organization.
Would this be a legal Iron Chef entry?: Yes, even with the use of the major demon bloodline. It would get an Elegance hit for sure but the bloodlines are legal material. The real issue here would be that it utilizes a major bloodline and presents a 20 Level build without taking into account any kind of Level Adjustment. The rules for bloodlines are pretty screwy but Clare does not push any real boundaries with the bloodline—except by just having one.

How easy is it to make a rule-obeying Fairy Tail mage build? Well, impossible. This rolls on borderlne RAW readings only for a Tier3ish final effect.
In other words, Fairy Tail's spirit upheld. If this build's actually too out there, let me know and I'll decrease the insanity.
On a sidenote, Natsu and Gajeel are a lot easier to make. As is Juvia.

Spells Known:
0th - Ray of Frost, Prestidigitation, Caltrops, Read Magic, Launch Bolt, Detect Magic, Stick, Mage Hand, Amanuensis
1st - Fist of Stone, Shield, Path of Frost, Ice Dagger (exchange for True Casting when Icelance is learned), Blade of Blood
2nd - Elemental Darts, Conjure Ice Object, Wings of Cover, Glitterdust, Heroics
3rd - Icelance, Shivering Touch, Ice Axe, Haste
4th - Wings of Flurry, Ice Web, Thunderlance, Wall of Ice
5th - Arcane Fusion, Firebrand, Flesh to Ice, Lightning Leap
6th - Freezing Fog, Dispel Magic (Greater), Freezing Glance
7th - Arcane Spellsurge, Scalding Touch
8th - Greater Arcane Fusion

Why, thank you for asking. Fary tail wizards are peculiar in that, while being "mages" they are actually melee powerhouses. Molding Magic users are the greatest offenders - while Lyon is most probably a Sorcerer5/Frost Mage10/War Mage 5 focused on summoning and some blasting spells, Rufus is a full-blown Shadowcraft Mage (and wood-make is obscenely easy with Druid...), Gray is one of the Protagonists™. That means he's a melee combatant, weapon specialist, mage and a hot guy. All at the same time. So I went for a gishy early levels, gradually shifting towards bfc/ranged blasting later on.
Molding magic is an open-ended magic, meaning the only thing that should be your limit is your imagination. With that in mind I tried to create a character that reflects this and allows for multiple ways of dealing with... Well, everything.

Mild cheese:
This build makes heavy use of Sanctum Spell. It allows for entering Spellsword a level earlier and War Mage two levels earlier. It's not really necessary but you lose significant part of damage output by doing so (Arcane Fusion trick) (but you gain a caster level, hey! With Battledancer/Sorc4/Crus1/Spellsword1 being your entry levels). For lulz, make your Sanctum your clothing (buy your DM a pizza or something). You'll see why.

Bloodlines. I went about it the saner way, adding the levels to your Initiator level once. Again - you can do without it, but you lose cold resistance (the ONLY real reason I wanted it), Power Attack (Weaponlike touch spells?) and the nifty SPOILER:breath weapon of a Devil Slayer. As well as Cold Immunity at 20th./SPOILER.

Oh, and compare the Sorcerer and Wizard entries in SRD. Wizard casts spells from sorcerer/wizard list. Sorcerer casts spells primarily from sorcerer/wizard list. I basically needed it for flavor reasons (Conjure Ice Object and Ice Axe), so it's no big deal. There are plenty of great spells that can be used instead. (2nd - Cloud of Knives, Bladeweave, Dimension Leap, Ray of Ice, Scorching Ray, Minor Image; 3rd - Greater Mage Armor, Control Temperature (hey, it's flavorful), Protection from Energy, Unicorn Arrow... Bah. It goes on and on).

Sanctum Spell - you make your clothing your sanctum. Makes sense, right? No. When clothed, Gray can qualify for PRCs by the virtue of casting xth level spells while being at <2xth level. So all's good. When he drops the clothes, he can Sanctum spell the Elemental Darts, which allows him to treat the spell as 1st level for Arcane Fusion. And Sanctum Spell on Arcane Fusion means infinite Dart Loop. Hope you have good Dogde bonuses, cause they'll come in handy when books get thrown.

Remember how I said this is an open-ended build? Well. Let me showcase some of the possibilities:

Ice Make: Floor - Easy. Path of Frost does it for us.
Ice Make: Freeze Lancer (and all variables) - Elemental Darts.
The trick? make them Acid Darts, then slap Energy Substitution, Piercing Cold and Empower Spell. Arcane Thesis negates the level adjustment by -1 per feat, so (2+0+2+1)-(1+1+1)=2. Empowered Piercing Cold Darts for free. Each deals (1d6+10)*1.5 damage, you get five if them.
Translates to about 100 points of damage from a 2nd level slot. It can be saved for half, but it can also crit. And you further augment it with War Mage class ability, as well as you CAN AND SHOULD retrain Alertness from Bloodline for Knowledge Devotion. That adds up to an additional +8 dmg per dart, you know.

Ice Make: Super Freeze Arrow - Arcane Fusion'd Sanctum Piercing Cold Empowered Darts + Ice Lance. That's RAW-legal. I hope.
Ice Make: Block - Buy a wand of Blockade. Next.
Ice Make: Shield - Shield. Duh. Or Wings of Cover.
Ice Make: Hammer - Hum. I guess that'd be Melf's Unicorn Arrow slamming the enemy into the ground.
Iced Shell - Flesh to Ice. If succesful, ask your DM to kill your character. Next.
Ice Make: Prison - Wall of Ice, hemispherical. You lose on pretty ornaments though.
Ice Make Unlimited: Chaotic One-Sided Dance - Arcane Fusion'd Sanctum Piercing Cold Empowered Darts + Sanctum Arcane Fusion infinite loop. Or just metamagic'd Wings of Flurry if you prefer not having books flung at you.
Basically all the melee-enhancing ice forms - Fist of Stone. Early on it's invaluable. Later on it's still a free +6 to Strength.

Seven Slice Dance - Blade of Blood + Foehammer or Divine Surge.

Ice Make: Battleaxe - Ice Axe. Later on you can use Thunderlance. Those spells may or may not work with War Mage's Battle Magic.
Ice Make: Really, any melee weapon - Thunderlance. It's that flexible.

Further: You get the standard anime willpower-driven reserves thanks to the Revitalizing Strike and Martial Spirit stance.

Standard stuff:
Twice the Charisma to AC - Battle Dancer + War Mage.
Quickened abjurations - up to 4th level if you use the "bloodlines count as class levels". You have only one spell that benefits from that, so no big deal. And it's 1st level.
+11AC Shield spell - +4 + 4AbjChamp + 3 Bloodline. Well. Oops?
1d6+3/CL damage from Wings of Flurry. Translating to 24d6+72 damage at 20th level. That's before metamagic.
Mystic Phoenix stance gives you DR/evil, always nice to see.
SPOILER: Fits the Devil Slayer fluff also.../SPOILER.

Thunderlance, dealing 3d6+9 damage/attack. Add Power Attack to the mix.
Actually, use Heroics to grant yourself Aura of Chaos stance. With Divine Surge and Arcane Strike you're looking at a lot of small dice to roll.

And sculpt spell works quite well with Caltrops, Glitterdust, Wings of Flurry and Lightning Leap. Try it.

If you're retraining/PsyRefing Alertness for Knowledge Devotion, masterwork items of Knowledge skill are almost obligatory.
Metamagic rods are your friends. As are empowered spellshards.

Before you can go to town with Thunderlance, buy Slippers of Battledancing. Even after you get the spell, those are great.

If your DM didn't go for clothes=sanctum (why would he? Seriously...), grab an Acorn of Far Travel, cover it in Unguent of Timelessness and PAO it into your clothing.

Tomes : +5 Cha, +5 Con are great. But expensive as hell. That's why first you buy Belt of Magnificence +6.

As your only "real" dump stat is probably only Wis (and later on Strength), you may actually get your bang for the buck.

Okay. I'm not saying they're in progress or something, but probably I'll post soon:

Gajeel Redfox (Fairy Tail, 3.5ed)
Juvia Lockser (Fairy Tail, 3.5ed ) - she gives me more trouble than I thought. Either Swordsage/BSB or Druidic Avenger. Or Wilder. Or... (blah blah).
Natsu Dragneel (FT, 3.5ed) - Again, either Swordsage, Battle Sorcerer (take Gray, swap spells, you're done)
Erza Scarlett (Fairy Tail, Pathfinder) - Thanks, ErrantX and guys at DSP, I can make her at last.

I'd like to try my hand at Cutie Honey, and Hisoka.

Two questions though, and apologies if this has been answered before, but....

- how close do we need to be to the character?
- how close to RAW do we need to stay? Is a degree of custom homebrew allowed??

As close as you can manage, given the restraints and qualities of 3.5e. After all, while there might not be a race of sentient robots, there are a sentient race of constructs. If there are multiple recognisable instances of a character (such as pre- and post-timeskip versions), you may want to state which one you're trying to recreate.

RAW is preferred, but not enforced; we don't really want these threads to break out into arguments over RAI. Homebrew should be avoided if at all possible, so either ditch the character or try and play around with the WotC-published books for a workable alternative.

Alright, I'm going to throw my hat in and do something bold: I just finished watching Gurren Lagann, so I'm going to take a shot at Kamina. However, I'm going to cheat a bit and just stat him, not Gurren Lagann (which is honestly just a SUPER tricked out apparatus of the crab with limited sentience). Also, be warned for those of you who have not seen the show, my explanation will contain spoilers.

Kamina
http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121220155814/gurennlagann/images/1/17/Kamina_with_sword.jpg

CG Human
Battle Dancer 1/Marshal 1/Paladin of Freedom 3/Bard 9

Ability Scores: 32 Point-Buy
Base: 14/12/12/10/8/18
Levels: All +Cha

Flaws: Brash, Free-Spirited

So, you probably are raging at the level choice. Personally, I feel it goes too high. For the full set of abilities I wanted, it pushes Kamina to level 14 minimum. However, I feel that these classes, at these levels, capture what Kamina does. I'll be detailing feats later when I've had more tie to think, but I wanted to get this down while the ideas were flowing.
Classes
Battle Dancer: So, Kamina frequently punches people. He also doesn't wear armor yet is still a formidable combatant. Here we pick up Cha to AC and IUS
Marshal: This class was made for Kamina. My only complaint is having to pick one minor aura. For those of you who object to how I fluff the bard's spells, replace Bard levels with Marshal.
Paladin of Freedom: A bit more Cha synergy with Divine Grace and Smite, on top of Immunity to Fear (a Kamina staple, at least in function). Also, more full BAB, allowing him to function in his grounded fight with Viral.
Bard: Kamina is an inspiring leader, using his Perform (Oratory) to fuel his Inspire abilities. I took the class to 9 to pick up Inspire Greatness. Now, you might say, Kamina has no magic! But how do you translate powering up Gurren Lagann with fighting spirit if not into the act of casting buffs on it?

Abilities:
Strength: Kamina is pretty strong, but he isn't excessively so. I felt 14 actually hit a nice spot for him.
Dexterity: This stat I'm least happy with, but with Cha covering AC, I chose to give the higher stat to Str.
Constitution: Above average, but not by much. Kamina is tough, but not unkillable
Intelligence: Average. Kamina isn't a great tactician, but he's not an idiot either.
Wisdom: Kamina is reckless, belligerent, and stubborn to the point of suicidal. I can easily put a negative Wisdom on him. His flashes of insight are the result of good rolls on Wisdom/Sense Motive checks :smalltongue:
Charisma: Of course this is obscene. Also, his clock is a +8. Because reasons.

Flaws: I thought these two flaws fit Kamina pretty well. He is undeniably a Brash character, and, as the picture above demonstrates, wears all of pants, a cloak, and a sword.

Sora and Shiro (No Game No Life) have been added to the list. I may add their avatars from the game at the beginning of NGNL into the list under the name "Blank".
Oh god, that anime.

First of all, my Monster Hunters found that little girl very distracting bewildering in the first episode. "Stay classy, hunters," I said.

Second, you don't leave it blank. You type IlIlIIIlllIllI.

Cutie Honey

http://i17.servimg.com/u/f17/11/07/75/25/re_cut10.jpg

CG Nimblewright Totem Druid 1 / Master of Many Forms 7 / Factotum 2

Abilities: Str 20, Dex 32, Con -, Int 16, Wis 20, Cha 24

Feats: Weapon Finesse, Improved Critical (Rapier), Improved Toughness, Einhander, Extra Wild Shape, Agile Athlete

Necessary Items: Choker of Disguise (Hat of Disguise refluffed), boomerang, Wand of Summon Motorcycle (Phantom Steed refluffed)

Cutie Honey exists in at least half a dozen different continuities, with major differences between them. What I've tried to do here is make something which captures the central character common to as many of those as possible. She's very high level (20 HD), but not particularly optimized, which actually suits her to a degree since nearly all versions were potentially far more powerful than she ever acted upon. This version might be best as an NPC among mid-level PCs - powerful, but not out of reach, not someone that would make them redundant or useless. Most versions of the show are mysteries anyway, as much about detective skills as combat.

In most versions of the show, she's able to make objects as well as change herself. Usually those objects are purely cosmetic, but give that she's shown as able to make rapiers, and motorcycles, there doesn't appear to be a limit. The ability to materialize something as complex as a motorcycle that works implies she could do almost anything, but there's no way to fully replicate all of that in D&D without going full-spellcaster. Instead, she materializes rapiers simply by reverting to her natural Nimblewright form, and makes the makes the motorcycle through Phantom Steed. Everything else (short of Re: Cutie Honey shenanigans where she may well be epic level) can generally be described as cosmetic.

Not all versions have her as a robot/construct (notably, she's flesh-and-blood in Cutie Honey F, and nanite-powered flesh in the live action movie and Re: Cutie Honey), but it's the case in both the newest and oldest versions, and Nimblewright was too good to pass up. It also allows her to go "this is my true form", gain rapiers, and fight better than she does in many alternate forms.

I'm still not entirely satisfied with this, largely because "Druid" is a strange chassis for her. However, while Honey never turns into non-humans in the show, given some of the things she does do, there's nothing to prevent it in a setting that includes such things. She seems to gain at least some of the talents of the people she turns into, so Extraordinary Wild Shape helps there, and basing the whole thing off Wild Shape rather than other Polymorph/Disguise spells means that she can stay in Kisaragi Honey form for hours at a time with minimal investment. She only gets eight changes a day with this loadout, but she hardly ever uses more than four or five, so that's not a significant issue either.

Someone else may come up with something better, but this serves as a solid basis.

Man, back when I had time I really wanted to contribute to your last posts.. alas, Uni.

Anyway, I'd like to suggest:
Lu Bu from Souten Kouro

Mainly because theres a huge difference between Lu Bu in the games and Lu Bu in the anime. The main difference is Lu Bu's anger and power grant him the ability to run at super speeds and accomplish very acrobatic feats (like running on a chain being thrown at him and forcing his dead horse's head to bite someone else's head off). Oh, and he gets super strength.

"But Xerlith, doesn't the build cost an awful LOT of XP because of all the buyoffs?".
Yes. It does. Fortunately, you have access to the Avatar Spirit. Raava, who keeps all your previous lives' memories. And so it happens, she was once in a kettle.
In D&D, the kettle's called Thought Bottle, costs 20,000 GP and completely overrides the XP cost. Cheesy? Yep. But you're the Avatar, they've gotta deal with it. The whole team can pool their wealth, since the item's invaluable for crafting expenses, casting spells and other stuff.

Well, "items". 2000GP for Iron Will from Otyugh Hole, 4900GP for DarkChaosShuffling it away for something useful.

Ancestral Relic: A necklace, which becomes a Necklace of Natural Attacks.
+5 Ghost Touch Throwing Teleporting is one way to enchant it.

The following are not perfect copies but instead derivatives of the base characters, and may not meet the standards requested.

Forgot something: These designs were originally made for use by my DM ina campaign I am part of. As such, they suffer from being made according to a few house rules.

They start with 3 traits, not 2. They can take 2 drawbacks, and gain a bonus feat instead of two bonus traits. They may only take up to 3 drawbacks. They may buy up to two additional feats for 200gp each and two weeks of training each.

Could someone build some of the characters from Trigun?

Vash "the Stampede", the $$50,000,000,000 man
Nicholas D. Wolfwood ("The cross is heavy, 'cause it's so filled with mercy!")
Meryl Strife
OR
Milly Tomphson?

(Now that I think on it, would d20 Modern be easier to build them, or even SW Saga Edition?...)

Meryl (beautiful, beautiful Meryl)is a simple case of quickdraw with guns (3.5 DMG, or the awful PF guns if you're a philistine) or crossbows with TWF. The trick is that the crossbows are not magical, but the bolts have been hit with Greater Magic Weapon. I'll put something together.

In wake of his return in new movie - anyone has any good tips how to make good build of Frieza from Dragon Ball Z? I tried recently with Vegeta as Elan Psion, but don't know what would work for Frieza.

I saw the stats somewhere... give me a moment. But they were pretty horrible, just saying.

I have a feeling it will just be a summoner but the use of 'traps' or 'magic' cards could put interesting spins on things...

Seeing as how this thread came back from the dead (hopefully through a True Resurrection, and not some form of Necromancy), and given the fun I had making Illidan in the Video Game Antagonists thread, I think I'm gonna challenge myself a bit and try my had at FMA's Edward Elric.

Off the top of my head, I'm gonna be looking at either Half-Golem or Renegade Mastermaker, just gotta figure out a good way to emulate the Alchemy system. Binder comes to mind, as well as Runesmith, but we'll see what else sparks a creative thought with a bit more research.

Is Armorist from 3rd party pathfinder legit? Because then Erza Scarlet would be a breeze. It's from Spheres of Power which is widely accepted of being balanced ... same as pathfinder psionics.

Honestly I've done a lot of Fairy Tail with Spheres/Path of War. Aurora Fist Mystic for Natsu, Conjuration focused Incanter for Lucy, Armorist for Erza, Shifter for Mira/Elfman, and Creation focused Mageknight for Grey.

He's the very definition of a factotum.

On Emiya, Silverbrow Sorcerer 1(Precocious Apprentice)/Psychic Warrior 2(Soulbound Weapon: Longsword)/Ardent 10(Dominant Ideal:Justice)/Cerebremancer 7 can do it, although, as you can see, it gets pretty spread. Psychic Warrior for the extra augment, Sorcerer for Wings of Cover(Rho Aias) and any other necessary spells, Ardent for the Metapsionic cheese. Gestalting Emiya is pretty easy, compared to normal play.

Dat thread necromancy tho.

Akina Nanamora

From Rune Soldier Louie
Louie and all three of his female companions (can't remember their names atm)

Seeing as this thread has been revived and I made a build for this thread the last time it rolled around, maybe I should finally post it.

Prior to it's awakening, Zangetsu is a +1 Adamantine Greatsword. It's omen is an audible hum that causes the air to vibrate.

Abilities
Shikai: Starting at 5th level, Zangetsu is an intelligent item. It is true neutral, can communicate via empathy and see and hear out to 60 feet, has mental stats of Int 13, Wis 13, and Cha 10, can cast the spells wraithstrike 1/day and nerveskitter 3/day and has an ego score of 7 (changes to 8 at 6th level.)
Bankai: At 11th level, Zangetsu becomes Tensa Zangetsu, improving its status as an intelligent item. It is still true neutral, can communicate via language (common) or telepathy and can hear and see with darkvision and blindsense to 120 feet. It has mental stats of Int 18, Wis 18, Cha 10, and can cast wraithstrike 1/day, displacement 1/day, haste 3/day, nerveskitter 3/day, and true resurrection 1/month on it's wielder. Its ego score is now 26, with increases to 28 at level 14 and 34 at level 17.
Bankai Speed (Ex): At 12th level, the compression of reaitsu from Tensa Zangetsu doubles your movement speed, as the ability of the Rapid Wrath spear.
Getsuga Charged Attacks (Sp): At 13th level, Tensa Zangetsu allows the channeling of eldritch blasts through its attacks. Whenever making an attack with Tensa Zangetsu, treat the attack as if the Hideous Blow blast shape invocation was being used. (Adds eldritch blast damage to all attacks made with Tensa Zangetsu.)
Dangai Training (Ex): At 20th level, Tensa Zangetsu increases your speed to new heights. You may take two separate sets of actions each round, as the Dual Actions special ability of the chronotyryn.

Hollow Mask: This bone white mask with dark red markings melds into your body after you take possession of it. Placing your hand in a claw-like shape and ripping it down over your face (swift action) causes the mask to coalesce from dark energy. The mask functions for up to 10 minutes per day and causes you to gain the Dark Creature and Shadow Creature templates. A superior version allows the benefit to be continuous.
All three bloodline levels are taken after 1st level, requiring 2000 exp each. This means that the maximum skill point cap is increased by three (8 ranks when Ichigo reaches level 2) and the initiator level is increased to allow higher level manuevers to be chosen [IL is 6 at second level: Non-initiator level 4 (1 + 3 bloodline levels) divided by 2 and 4 initiator levels (1 + 3 bloodline levels)] so the prerequisites for Ruby Knight Vindicator can be met by level 3. Additionally, the three bloodline levels make the Hellfire Blast damage 6d6 higher, CL for cleric spells 3 higher (CL 16 at 20th), and warlock caster level 3 higher (CL 20 at 20th).
Ho boy! First off, I decided to make Ichigo a gestalt character after trying and failing multiple times to cram a powerful (read ToB) melee warrior and strong ranged attack (eldritch blast) user together. I really like the feel that Hellfire Warlock grants to Ichigo, but I was having a hard time fitting in enough melee for him to be capable, so I ended up trying to have my cake and eat it too with gestalt. Legacy Champion is used quite frequently with Hellfire Warlock and creating a zanpaktou as a legacy weapon seemed like it could fit nicely, so I decided to head that route. Binder is of course used for mitigating the Con damage from Hellfire Warlock, and Naberius fits better with Ichigo than I had originally thought (more on this later.) Now that I had a capable build for Ichigo's Getsugatensho spam, I went with a relatively standard Warblade/Cleric/Ruby Knight Vindicator melee side (along with Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian for pounce). I decided early on that I wanted to use bloodlines to show Ichigo's shinigami parenthood, though I did consider a few templates.

Levels 1-5 cover his pre-Shikai self quite well, as his tactics basically amount to two-handed power-attacking everything, as his eldritch blast is too weak to deal with threats.
Levels 6-10 show his Shikai abilities, with level 10 giving a significant boost to his ranged capabilities with Hellfire Warlock.
Levels 11-20 give his Bankai abilities and hollow powers, showing a marked improvement in his ranged damage and continual improvements for his melee combat.
(To be specific, levels 1-2 are his transformation into a shinigami, level 3-5 are pre-shikai, level 6 is his Shikai awakening, level 7-8 is the fight against Ikkaku, level 9 against Renji, level 10-11 is the fight against Kenpachi, level 12 is the fight against Byakuya, 13 vs Ulquiorra/Yammy and vs Grimmjow (1st Fight), 14 vs Ulquiorra (1st fight), 15 vs Grimmjow (2nd fight), 16-18 vs Ulquiorra (2nd fight), 18 vs Aizen and Gin (1st), and 20th vs Aizen (final).)

Anime/Manga Feats:
Physical Combat: His great BAB, heavy ToB class choice, Whirling Frenzy, pounce, DMM-persisted cleric buffs, and variety of combat feats mean Ichigo is quite competent in a melee fight, especially charging with Shock Trooper.
Shikai Training: Otyguh Hole!
Getsugatensho: Eldritch blast (8d6 at 20th) + Eldritch Spear/Chain
Black Getsugatensho: Hellfire blast (+22d6 at 20th level, HF 3 + 5 HF levels from Legacy Champion + 3 HF levels from bloodline) + Vitriolic or Utterdark Blast
Fluctuating Reiatsu: Chaos Devotion
Flight: Fell flight invocation
Shunpo/Flash Step and High Speed: Shadow Blink + Divine Impetus, Dual Actions at 20th, extremely high movement speed [his base movement speed is 110 = 30 + 10 (quick trait) + 10 (Celerity Domain) * 2 (Bankai speed) + 10 (Zangetsu enhancement), which increases to 130 with the Dark Creature template (adds 10 to base, +20 total) and 190 with the Dark and Shadow Creature templates (1.5 * base, 60 base * 2 RW * 1.5 SC + 10 = 190)]
Hollowfication: A combination of Hellfire blast, the Hollow Mask item above, Whirling Frenzy, and the Sign of binding Naberius: your voice deepens and acquires a gravelly, growling tone.
Zanpaktou: Weapon of legacy fits pretty well, as does making the item intelligent, though I do wish I could have figured out a way to allow the weapon to transform. I had an idea with the weapon of legacy, but it just never came together.

He is armorist with creation as main sphere and time sphere as archtype so in fluff he creates weapons from time itself and thanks to gilgamesh he has nearly every copy of every weapon ( gate of babylon stores prototypes of every weapon which one high rank than originals so when he uses unlimited blade works on them he gets roughly equvalent to real ones)( thats also why gil neaded ea to try to beat him)

I have made my own version of Itachi using d&d 5th edition and hopefully this build is useful to others.

Now we all know the power of Uchiha Itachi and the abilities he gets with the Sharingan. For this build I ignore most of the Sharingan abilities such as Susanoo, the ability to see through every jutsu and copying it, and even Amaterasu to a certain extent. You might think whats left of it being close to Uchiha Itachi? Well this build is trying to create Itachi as what he is best known for, his genjutsu and tactical insight. It will have a solid core role-play aspect that you can explore without stretching the character to thin.

A full build will be looking like this: lvl2 Cleric (trickster domain), lvl2 Rogue, lvl16 Wizard (enchantment). Now you might wonder why not illusion. Well a quick explanation for that is even though genjutsu is explained as an illusion, most of its effects and power the user has over its victims come close to enchantment spells such as hold person. Also the powers that enchantment gives you fit more with the theme around Itachi as will be explained later.

Now I will explain the reason for the levels and multiclasses that I have chosen by giving a possible level up path to follow when you play and level up this type of Itachi build. I will explain how certain abilities translate to Itachi and his abilities. The first levels might seem odd and might not feel like the real thing, it will all fall in place once you reach level 5. please bear with me!

abilities we go for point buy, this because we want two stats to be at least 16 and one other to be 14 the rest is all dump. Here is how it could look like.

Str 8 (wont be used for anything combat related)
Dex 15 (secondary stat used in combat for throwing kunai and shuriken, and your defense)
Con 8 (to stay true to Itachi having an illness)
Int 15 (primary stat used in combat, mainly using all your spells to enchant people and cast illusions...and the fireballs!!!)
Wis 14 (mostly to be able to multiclass into cleric and Itachi is both intelligent and wise)
Cha 10 (Itachi never was much of a talker)

the only alternative I could think of is switching the cha and str stats. It depends on what your personal taste is. Having Con at 8 is a risk and a big disadvantage would most players say, but you are playing as Uchiha Itachi!!! Play smart and you wont even get into close combat or become the target of an attack most of the times.

The race to go with will be High Elf giving you +2 dex and +1 int. The Darkvision, Keen Senses(prof in perception), and Fey ancestry(advantage on saves against charmed, magic cant put you to sleep) compliment some of the abilities tied to the Sharingan. Furthermore having a cantrip at first level for this build is a must, I recommend taking the firebolt cantrip since Uchiha is known for its fire nature.

Next choose the sage background to gain proficiency in Arcana and History which go well with your high int stat.

The 1st lvl class to start with will be Rogue, you get the best options for proficiencies with this class to create this type of Itachi. Having your highest abilities (Dex, Int) as your saving throws helps a lot.
The four skills to choose should be Acrobatics, Slight of Hand, Stealth, and Investigation. The 3 dex skills because it fits the ninja theme and investigation because that fits the Sharingans power.
Rogue lvl 1 Expertise, go for Stealth and Investigation to pump up the power of the Sharingan and making sure you will succeed those stealth rolls.
for starting equipment I would recommend to try and roll for money and get enough gold to buy:
- studded leather (this will give you 15 AC) 45 gold
- dagger (your kunai for close combat) 1 gold
- 10 darts (the shuriken) 5 silver
- Orb or crystal (ask dm if this may be placed inside one of your eye sockets for sharingan roleplay) 10/20 gold
- explorer pack (cheapest and best starter equipment pack to use) 10 gold

all together coming to a total of 66/76 gold and 5 silver

Reaching lvl 2 you multiclass your first lvl into Wizard. So at this point you are lvl 1 Rogue, lvl 1 Wizard. The six 1st lvl spells that you choose should be:
- Color Spray (an illusion spell that has the potential of blinding creatures in a 15 foot cone originating from you. !watch out for partymembers!)
- Find Familiar (just so you can flavor the raven to be a crow as your familiar)
- Shield (it is a little bit like the defensive power of the Susanoo and having your AC15 becoming 20 as a reaction is always nice when needed)
- Silent Image (the first of many illusion spells that can be used for distraction and misdirection)
- Sleep (a spell that can be seen as genjutsu since people affected by weaker genjutsu sometimes look like they are unconsious or sleeping)
- Magic Missile (can be flavored as a shuriken jutsu, and we all know Itachi's insane shuriken skills)

Honorable mentions and why I didn't recommend them:
- Burning Hands (It fits Uchiha's fire jutsu, which Itachi uses aswell, but it will become useless real fast once you get spells like Scorching Rays)
- Charm person (you get this spell automatic as a cleric spell from the trickery domain when you reach lvl 3)
- Detect magic (you pick this for one of your cleric prepared spells when you reach lvl 3)

Reaching lvl 3 you multiclass your first lvl into Cleric. So at this point you are lvl 1 Rogue, lvl 1 Wizard, lvl 1 Cleric.
Pick the Trickery domain for your cleric to have always Charm Person and Disguise Self prepared.
Blessing of the Trickster is a nice bonus to give someone else advantage on stealth checks for one hour.
As for spells you can prepare three spells, here are the recommended:
- Command (you put them under a genjutsu and manipulate them, a bit like how Itachi made Kabuto stop his own jutsu)
- Detect Magic (The power of the Sharingan to see Chakra)
- the third prepared spell is open to fill in as you see fit, this can be to fulfill a certain roll in your party when needed.

Reaching lvl 4 gain a second lvl in Rogue. So at this point you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 1 Wizard, lvl 1 Cleric. The reason for picking Rogue is because at this lvl you really want to have more movement options in combat to stay out of harms way.
Cunning action gives you this freedom, you can dash, disengage, or hide as a bonus action. You basically always want to hide before you end your turn if possible, otherwise create distance between the enemy but stay in range for your own spells and attacks.

Reaching lvl 5 gain a second lvl in Wizard. So at this point you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 2 Wizard, lvl 1 Cleric.
Choose enchantment for your school because its abilities translate better to how Itachi's genjutsu works instead of the illusion school.
The recommended spells to choose are:
- Longstrider (run faster like a ninja)
- Feather Fall (have you seen from how high they sometimes jump and land as if its nothing?)

Further you gain Hypnotic Gaze. A quick summery of what it does, as an action choose a creature within 5 feet that you see and charm it on a failed wisdom save. The charmed creatures speed drops to 0 and is incapacitated. Every turn you can use an action to extend its effect for another round as long as you stay within 5 feet. Do not look into Itachi's eyes or you become caught in his genjutsu.

Reaching lvl 6 gain a lvl in Cleric. So at this point you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 2 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric. Here comes the best part!
You can use the clerics Channel Divinity to create an illusory duplicate of yourself. This is basically a shadow clone. You can move the duplicate up to 30 feet as a bonus action and you can cast your spells through it as if you where standing in the illusions space. It only lasts for a minute and costs concentration but damn is it a sweet ability to keep yourself hidden and just casting your damaging spells and such through the duplicate.
side note at this point it doesn't really matter what spells you will prepare for your Cleric spells this is all free for your own input since the spells that you choose for the Wizard are of more importance. A tip is to make sure the spells that you end up choosing do not require a save roll or attack roll since you only have 14 Wis.

Reaching lvl 7 gain a lvl in Wizard. So at this point you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 3 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric. From this point on you will only need to lvl up Wizard. I will still provide what spells to choose and why, and what feat to choose or which stats to boost.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Phantasmal Force (if this doesn't shout genjutsu! literally creating a phantasmal object or creature that only the target sees and will rationalize any illogical outcomes from interacting with the phantasm.)
- Scorching Ray (this spell screams Phoenix Sage Fire Technique)

Reaching lvl 8 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 4 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
At this stage we can finally put a full +2 stat boost into Intelligence, because the ability score improvement, making it 18.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Mirror Image (gives you more defensive options as you create some clones beside you)
- Misty Step (I like to think of it as you disperse into crows like the crow clone jutsu and reappear again 30 feet away)

Reaching lvl 9 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 5 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Fireball (aka Fireball jutsu)
- Hypnotic Pattern (targets in a 30 foot cube are under a genjutsu when they fail a wisdom save incapacitating them and dropping speed to 0)

Reaching lvl 10 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 6 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
You gain Instinctive Charm, when you see a creature within 30 feet make an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to divert the attack provided that another creature is within the attack's range. This is such a good defensive ability and you can use it every round as long as you haven't used a reaction already. You can totally role-play it as if you have put the attacker under a genjutsu making it think the new target is actually you.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Major Image (the upgraded version of Silent Image)
- See Invisibility (definitely a power the Sharingan has with the ability to see through every jutsu and able to see chakra)

Reaching lvl 11 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 7 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Phantasmal Killer (a genjutsu that does actual damage)
- Wall of Fire (the closest thing that you can get to Amaterasu)

Reaching lvl 12 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 8 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
You get your second ability score improvement. At this point you can go one of two ways, either increase your Int +1 and Dex +1 or take the Observant feat giving you a +1 that you put in Int. With Observant you can also read lips and gain a +5 bonus to your passive wisdom and passive intelligence scores (boost that Sharingan). For this stage I choose the feat first making my Int 19 and keeping my Dex 17, so the next ability score improvement I can boost them to Int 20 and Dex 18.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Hallucinatory Terrain (getting an illusion that can effect a large area, eventhough it doesnt translate that well as genjutsu, is a nice pick)
- Spider Climb (stand and walk on any surface as if you imbued chakra in your feet like they do in Naruto)

Reaching lvl 13 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 9 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Immolation (I take my earlier statement back this is the closest to Amaterasu as you can get)
- Mislead (so many possibilities to flavor this as, something like a crow clone or substitution jutsu)

Reaching lvl 14 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 10 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
You gain the ability to target a second creature with enchantment spells that can normally only target one. A huge plus being able to charm two creatures with one concentration spell as the single target enchantment spells can be very powerful and useful in their effects.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Counterspell (your sharingan can see through every jutsu so just counter that spell)
- Geas (you can command a creature and force it to carry out something or refrain from doing something, and it will get 5D10 psychic damage if it acts in a manner counter to your instructions. A lot of possibilities with this spell to help you.)

Reaching lvl 15 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 11 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Eye Bite (this is a Sharingan genjutsu when you read its description, flavor it as if your eyes gain a Mangekyou pattern or something)
- True Seeing (keeping the Sharingan theme this spell doesn't need an explanation)

Reaching lvl 16 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 12 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Now as said earlier for this ability score improvement go for +1 Int and +1 Dex making them Int 20 and Dex 18 boosting both your AC, kunai & shuriken attacks, and Spell attack power and the DC.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Hold Person (since you have the ability to target an extra creature with single target enchantments this is a good fill for your genjutsu)
- Hold Monster (same as Hold Person, otherwise the only spell who would have benefit from the ability would have been Geas)

Reaching lvl 17 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 13 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Recommended spells to choose:
The lvl 7 spells are a bit lackluster when it comes to the type of Itachi play-style this build focuses on. Pick what you like or you can follow the recommended.
- Forcecage (can be a nice combo with the Invoke Duplicity ability of the trickery Cleric, create the perfect copy and later place yourself inside the Forcecage protecting yourself from any harm and using the duplicate to cast spells with. you can even flavor the Forcecage to look like a Susanoo)
- Project Image (a strong illusion clone spell where you can be miles away, always nice for scouting areas and such)

Reaching lvl 18 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 14 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Alter Memories is a fun bonus effect that you can use when you have enchanted a creature. Being able to let it forget an hour of its memories and not knowing that you have charmed it.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Programmed Illusion (just like Itachi was able to set a trigger for his crow to come out of Naruto you can do the same with an illusion)
- Mass Suggestion (think about it, putting up to 12 creatures under a genjutsu and make them follow a course of actions)

Reaching lvl 19 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 15 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
Recommended spells to choose:
- Dominate Monster (use the Sharingan genjutsu and completely control a creature)
- Feeblemind (a strong enchantment that can make enemy wizards useless and its a single target enchantment so you can target one extra)

Reaching lvl 20 you are lvl 2 Rogue, lvl 16 Wizard, lvl 2 Cleric.
The final ability score improvement I would take the Mobile feat, because its a good boost to some extra movement during your turns and you can safely get out of close combat if you attacked them first giving you the chance to use your bonus action for either Hide or Dash.
Recommended spell to choose:
- Power Word Stun (you could roleplay it that instead of speaking a word you give a nasty glare with your Sharingan)
- Mirrage Arcane (the buffed up version of Hallucinatory Terrain)

In the end you will only have around 67 hit-points but that shouldn't be a problem if you can play smart, safe, and you have a reasonable DM that doesn't come up with deus ex machina scenarios just so he can damage you. Because in a lot of environments you can stay hidden as long as it are not all plain boring open areas.

This is of course a guide build and you can switch around or choose other spells or feats as you see fit but personally I have had a great time playing this build at lvl 12. I really felt like Itachi always being a few steps ahead of my opponents with my illusions and enchantments making sure I'm always safe.
PS the reason I didnt specify any cantrips is because you can get so many and they wont have a major impact on the way you play this build.

This is my version of Itachi Uchiha when he wasn't becoming blind yet and I hope you like it.
