Elan passive and poisons... please help?

If someone is using the elan passive to reduce incoming damage by expending powerpoints do they still get infected by injury poison if they reduced the damage from the incoming attack to 0.

Also would contact poison apply? with the elan passive does it make contact with the skin or is there and invisible barrier blocking the attack?

No, Injury poison needs to deal damage to apply. The contact poison would work though, the ability doesnt stop the attack from hitting, simply reduce the damage.

Also, it's worth noting, that the elan's ability to reduce damage isnt a passive ability. It requires an immediate action, so you can only use it against a single attack per round.
