Some questions about the Half-Dragon template, especially the "racial Hit Dice" mentions: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/halfDragon.htm

The Breath DC is shown as "10 + ½ half-dragon’s racial HD + half-dragon’s Con modifier". Since the template itself shows no racial HD does that mean that a human (no racial HD) with an already adjusted 14 Con would have breath DC 10+0+1?

Also, the "Skills" session also say that he gains (6+Int)*(HD+3) and that "the half-dragon gains dragon skill points only for its racial Hit Dice". So, if the same human were a Barbarian with adjusted 10 Int, he would gain (6+0)*(0+3) from the template + (4+0) from Barb + 4 for being Human. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Breath weapon DC for a creature without racial Hit Dice would be 10+Con modifier it read like you were reading "half-dragon’s Con modifier"as "half of the half-dragon's Con modifier" in your example the 14 Constitution would be a +2 modifier hence a save DC of 12

Also with no racial HD you gain no skill points from the template apart from what your class gives you

A half-dragon gains skill points as a dragon and has skill points equal to (6 + Int modifier) × (HD + 3). Do not include Hit Dice from class levels in this calculation—the half-dragon gains dragon skill points only for its racial Hit Dice
No Racial Hit Die, No dragon skill points

Hahaha. "Half-dragon's" instead of "half dragon's" went right over my head.

Anyway. Thanks for the help!
