e: Plans have been shifted. I am allowed to play a character for a one-shot that has been called into existence from a Cleric (CE drow goddess has domains darkness, trickery, charm, evil and chaos). I may play a Demon with class levels, an appropriate Drow (or slaverace) half-fiend or another creature from the Abyss since I killed my sorcerer with a Magic Jar spell.
Other group members are a male Drow Magus and a female Drow Cleric. I don't want to cut into either terrain and the Gate spell will ask for specific aid to fight Devils. So it might be good if my character was any good at this. My idea would've been a Drider Inquisitor, but I am not sure what to play. I want an easy solution but no cookie cutter creature from the MHB.
