Nosomatic Chirurgeon and Invocations

I have read this over and over that with Nosomatic Chirurgeon you can use Invocations to do Inflict spells at will. However, I have not seen an explanation of this. Even peering through my books... I don't get it. Can anyone explain? This has been a mystery to me for years.
