If you want to talk about the MitD, you might want to bring it up in the thread about him (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?347800-MitD-VIII-Everything-we-know-about-MITD-(but-were-afraid-Tarrasque)).

Otherwise, that's a very good spot; hopefully the MitD's bet is correct!

My first thought was actually magical Monopoly money, and the power coming from the MITD being a ruse. Then I checked Rich's comment. Shot that theory down.

That would have been amusing, although I can't picture why Monopoly money would be magical. But, yeah, Rich has said that the power came from the MitD himself.
