I just checked the feat requirements for all that, it CAN be done 1-20.

Question is, why or why not?

Also, you'll have 1 feat left when you're finished getting character feats at level 18. The above does not take into account PrC granted feats.

Mostly a thought exercise here, for fun and games.

5+3+5+7+2 = 22.

That's quite possibly why.

Pro:
- Super difficult to kill.
- Can buff many allies with one standard action.
- Cooperative metamagic/metamagic effect abuse.
- Free reach spell/sculpt spell or SLAs

Con:
- Loses a caster level
- Loses a school of magic (can be difficult on a specialist or a focused specialist)
- Loses all the feats which severely limits many powerful options (Uncanny Forethought, Arcane Thesis, more metamagic, Crafting, etc)
- Eventually 5th level buffs become less exciting (rods of chain spell exist..)
- Doesn't get Incantatrix capstone.

I mean, it's a pretty crazy build able to shatter campaigns, but there are opportunity costs for everything.

You can use Sanctum Spell or Improved Sigil: Krau or similar and Psychic Reformation it later on to go Wizard 2/ Master Specialist 1/ War Weaver 5/ Incantatrix 3/ Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil 7/ Archmage 2, and be at 20th level, but you miss out on whatever ACF you were going to get at Wizard 5.

You're better off kicking Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil entirely and pour those levels into Incantatrix 8/10, depending which version and the rest into Archmage or Escalation Mage.
Now waiting until a mod deletes this because I'm trolling/flaming.....

I'm not sure what the feat requirements are off the top of my head... Can you still fit in Persist Spell with this? Because that's one of the biggest reasons to play an Incantatrix.

And what high arcana did you have in mind for Archmage?

I'm guessing the Incantatrix 1 bonus feat is used for it. Otherwise you can pick it up via Archmage, which is most likely there for Arcane Reach so you can persist touch-range spells.

Yes, you get Persist Spell.

The reason you can do it is because the feat requirements for all those classes overlap a great deal, and the skill requirements are all things you'd have anyway.

I hadnt considered the Reformation trick. I overcounted by 2 levels though, so something would have to give.

Archmage high arcanas would probably be Elements/Shaping/Counterspelling as it mattered to the mage. You'd get to pick 2.

For super buffers, I prefer Spellguard of Silverymoon over War Weavers. You're persisting the buffs anyway, and that way you get to put personal buffs on everyone as well. Also no CL loss.

And then you use the Team Solar trick: Start by giving everyone Shapechange, then have them all turn into symbionts and attach to you, then cast the rest of your spells via Share Spells on everyone.

I prefer War Weaver and Silverymoon, saves on spell slots while doing both... Also, WW is only needed past 1 if your putting spells into the field, and why do that when you can just have them up 24/7... Ok, disjunction, but that's what Craft Contingent Spell is for [or more, NPC's/Cohorts with it are for]/
Of course, my preferance is W5/I3/SoSm5/WW1/UM Continuing.
