View Full Version : Wanda vs. Redcloak

This is similar to the Parson vs. Redcloak thread, yes.
However, this is in one-on-one combat, possibly with some minions.

So: Which overworked death magic head minion wins?

Um...do you mean Hilga perhaps? *stabs piratemonk

Shouldn't you be blowing something up? Slay Living! No, I do not mean Hilgya, Redcloak is higher level than she is by quite a bit.

Redcloak, if only because we don't really know how powerful Wanda actually is...

A headache spell and a bit of uncroaking vs harm. I think we have a winner.

I don't know, Horrid Wilting would fall into Croakamancy, and she's adept at other forms of magic (she's just not interested in them), so she's not exactly hurting for offensive spells. Especially if she has long range spells and maintains distance, because Clerics are comparatively subpar in long range offensive magics, and aren't so great on mobility.

Also, I wonder if Summon Player Character would fall into Epic level magics.

Wanda's tiny and probably has the hit dice of a piece of paper. While her offensive casting abilities are unknown, she would need some heavy defense to not bite it in the first round.

I said neither, because instead they would get together and take over the world.

And produce horrendous offspring such man has never known.

Half-goblins?? Given the divergent art styles, I'm not sure they can actually...

Is Wanda some sort of character from Erfworld? I don't remember any Wandas in OOTS.

PirateMonk

Yes she is.

I vote wanda. Mostly because both are limited by their evil overloards but she has shown an ability to act without the say so of her master.

Look, let's examine what we know about each side.

Redcloak is an obedient, powerful cleric, is quite evil and a goblin.

On the other hand, Wanda is, like, extremely hot.

I mean, there should be no competition. Wanda wins.

Besides, Erfworld is just that cool.

Well, we don't know enough about Wanda's capabilities yet to really make a decision, but I voted for her anyway. Mostly because, while Redcloak is funny, I like Wanda more.

Redcloak is a potential CoDzilla waiting to happen. At Wanda's best, she might be able to bring it to a draw. Also, Redcloak has plenty of save-or-die spells that require a Fort save. That and Redcloak is funnier and cooler in every way.

No contest, I say. Redcloak will beat her pants off.

*Sigh* Look, do you want to move this to another thread? If so, PM me. Either way, stop spamming this one.

Hm...Redcloaks a green guy, while Wanda's hot and awesome at the same time. Definately Wanda on this one.

Eh. Greenie pulls one *****-slap, fight's over. The way I see it is that anything that has been raised in the Erfworld environment is gonna be somewhat wimpy.

This is kind of biased as its on the OOTS forum, gonna make an Erfworld version.

The "summon warlord" spell is Epic-level, but other than that we don't know enough about Wanda's fighting ability to see how she does in a normal fight.

Redcloak: Operates within the constraints of D&D 3.5.

Wanda: Homebrewed character in a brand-new world that has not undergone extensive playtesting.

Advantage: Wanda.

Reason: Just one or two horribly unbalanced powers and Redcloak is up a creek.

I just have to laugh at this.

Where is that thread, anyway?

Edit: Yes, I know it was a joke. So's mine :P

Do you think we'll have a Redcloak plus Wanda pic later in this thread like the Miko and Belkar ones in the "Belkar's romantic interest" thread?

Depends on whether Fwiffo's right, I'd imagine...

Redcloak would own Wanda head-to-head though. Any conflict between them would have to be adjudicated based on common rules which eliminates homebrew cheese on either side, and he's a divine caster. Good will, good fort, bad reflex but she's not an evoker and he's got hitpoints anyhow. If she were a priestess herself, it'd be a lot more even; but spell immunity coupled with resistance and fort-based instakills gives the edge to Reddie. Just about the only thing that trumps a quality divine caster is a melee monster in their face, or a monk with lots of specialty gear.

Redcloak would when then ask her on a date and conspire together against their witless leaders.

I take it back. After seeing #28 Wanda slaps poor redcloack all over the place.

I say: TBS games has insta-kill spells that don't give even the chance of resistance (even against heroes). So, redcloak goes: "Slay Living! And there's a 35% chance you will fail and DIE! HAHAHA!" as she goes "Hand of Death! And now you, and about fifty of your minions dies. No save. Now... where's that aspirin?"

(BTW, even wargames have one or two such abilities, and the necromancers always have it)
