Question if a creature is slain while under effect hideous laughter does the imprint continue to laugh when you speak with the dead?

I. Um. No? Though it'd be entertaining.

No. I think the spell means that the departed spirits have to answer your questions truefully (trufflely? I can't spell).

Well, I would say the imprint doesn't "stick," but if you somehow managed to get Speak With Dead cast while the original duration of Hideous Laughter was still running...then maybe.

Truthfully. Just had to say it, and I'm sure you'll smack your head.

Well, someone slain under the effects of Dominate Person won't still be under the enchanter's control if Speak with Dead is cast. Someone Polymorphed into a monkey changes back when slain. I'd guess that all magical effects are terminated with the death of the subject.

.....Oh snap.

I just ruled that it does.

Because the thought amuses me.

Because its mindaffecting and your soul doesn't have a mind. LOLz. You stop being a valid target when you die, duration ends.

The imprint is the last essence of your soul after you leave, so when your soul leaves the body it left behind an imprint of Hideous laughter effected mind. Shouldn't a poison or spell that effects the intelligence of a creature also leave behind an effected imprint?
