I'm DMing a high-psionics campaign (no magic, no incarnum, just psionic classes) and here is the setup (they're all humans):

A Psion
A Soulknife (Full BAB version)
A Psychic Warrior

What do you think?

Replace everywhere it says "Wis" in the Soul Knife description with "Int" and gestalt it with Factotum except using the Soul Knife's class skills and skill points per level and drop the spell's part from the Factotum.

You now have a Soul Knife that can keep up with an averagely played Psion or Psi Warrior and cover the one big psionics hole, skill monkey.

Incidentally it also fits a lot better thematically.

I don't think Soul Knife qualifies for Psionic Hole (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicFeats.htm#psionicHole).

Soulknife is known as a particularly weak class. With enough system mastery, it can be optimized a bit (I hear soulbow is actually playable in low OP games.) All other things being equal, however, the soulbow will feel useless pretty rapidly.

Why not Psion, Psychic Rogue, Psychic Warrior?

Unless that Psion is an Egoist with the True Healer ACF (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070314a) and/or Sangehirn (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040625c) levels, there's a fairly severe lack of healing in this party. The Psion and Psychic Warrior can use Body Adjustment, but that's considerable resources they're spending and the Soulknife is SOL when it comes to healing. If all the characters were Warforged and the Psion was a Shaper with Psionic Repair Damage (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/psionicRepairDamage.htm) it would be another story, but that's not the case if they're all Human. Maybe consider making a general Psion power that's mechanically identical to Psionic Repair Damage but works on humanoids, because otherwise they're going to be spending a lot on cure potions, if they're even available.

It's meant to be a kind of dark campaign. The lack of healing reflects that. I've made sure to make the campaign encounters spaced enough to allow suitable recharge. It works, for the most part.

Or, y'know, UMD or Healing Belts.

Psion, Psychic Rogue, Ardent or Psychic Warrior, and you are good.

A Psion, Vitalist, Cryptic, and either an Aegis or a Soulknife, or an Aegis/Soulknife that goes into the Metaforge prestige class. A solid party that covers all the roles. As the DM throw em a bone and run the Vitalist. ;)

He didn't say he was running Pathfinder, so I assume he isn't.

In addition, it says fairly clearly in the title it's a three man party.

OT: I think the Soulknife might start to fall behind, but otherwise you should be good.
