Ground speed and fly speed

Been looking both in rule books and interwebs but can't find anything about if you can "run" while flying and receive the 4 times movement or if the flight speed is always the same? :)

To quote the MM I, page 312, "A creature can use the run action while flying, provided it flies in a straight line." You can find the same information here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#fly), if you seek an online source.
