Dunno if this has been done before but I have gone and reverse engineered the Hellfire Wyrm so that it is a true dragon and fits clearly into the wheel of planar dragons.

The Hellfire Wyrm is found in 3.0 within the second monster manual on page 125 for reference. It was updated in a web enhancement to have spellcraft on it's list of known skills.

I'm open to feedback, as well as any clarifications to the language or fixes errors within it.

Hellfire dragons are the draconic agents of the Nine Hells of Baator that live among humanoid races on the material plane. They are masterful power brokers, manipulating people and events in subtle ways. Hellfire dragons can steer rulers to fight in unjust wars, or support unholy alliances, or even commit despotic acts against their people. A Hellfire dragon is a diabolic-looking, winged dragon with vicious bone spikes jutting from its head and shoulders. Smoke rises continually from its scales, and its eyes burn an intense yellow. The dragon’s scales shift in color to give the appearance of flowing molten lava, and they stink of brimstone. Hellfire dragons entrench themselves in regional politics by using their knowledge, wealth, and persuasive abilities to force through their foul agendas. The typical Hellfire dragon does not limit its actions to any one kingdom, and it often has a different identity for each realm it visits. It takes great pains to hide its draconic form when on assignment, usually assuming the shape of a charismatic tiefling or humanoid when dealing with other humanoids and assassinating anyone who learns its true identity. Hellfire dragons retreat to their secret lairs when not actively scheming. All Hellfire dragons speak Draconic, Infernal, and Common as well as the languages of any nearby humanoids. In combat they are utterly fearless and nigh unstoppable in battle, Hellfire dragons are expert tacticians; dividing and conquering their enemies.

Breath Weapon (Su): A hellfire dragon has a single breath weapon in the form of a cone of hellfire. Each creature can attempt a reflex save [DC10+½HD+Con Mod] for half damage. Unlike regular fire hellfire ignores resistances and deals half damage to fire immune creatures. After using its breath the dragon must wait 1d4 rounds before using its breath weapon again.

Frightful Presence (Ex): A Hellfire dragon can unsettle foes with its mere presence. Whenever the Hellfire dragon attacks, charges, or flies overhead all creatures within 30ft times the dragon’s age category are subject to this effect if they have fewer HD than the dragon. A potentially affected creature that succeeds on a Will Save [DC10+½HD+Cha Modifier] remains immune to the dragon’s frightful presence for 24 hours. On a failure if the creature has 4 or less HD it becomes panicked for 4d6 rounds and those with 5 or more HD become shaken for 4d6 rounds. Dragons ignore the frightful presence of other dragons.

Alternate Form (Su): Three times per day a Hellfire dragon can assume any medium size or smaller humanoid; or any medium size or smaller native outsider or devil.

Summon Baatezu (Sp): Once per day a mature Hellfire dragon can summon a single barbazu, cornugon, or gelugon. The summoned monster returns to hence it came one hour after being summoned. The summoned monster cannot use its own summoning ability for one hour.

Infernal Aura (Su): Any creature within 5 feet of the Hellfire dragon automatically takes 1d4 fire damage per age category of the hellfire dragon. This ability can be suppressed as a free action. In addition this aura creates 5ft of shadowy illumination per age category around the dragon while active.

Spell-Like Abilities: At-Will: Pyrotechnics, Charm Person (Very Young or older); At-Will: Hold Person, Suggestion (Juvenile or older); 3/day Misdirection, Desecrate, Wall of Fire (Adult or older); 1/day Sending, Greater Invisibility, Greater Dispel Magic (Old or older); 1/day Unhallow, True Seeing, Teleport Without Error (Ancient or older); Dictum, Blasphemy, Unholy Aura, Firestorm (Great Wyrm or older).

Skills: Bluff, Jump, and Spellcraft are considered class skills for hellfire dragons.

Special: As with normal true dragons they gain natural weapons based on their size; the extraordinary abilities Crush, Tail Sweep, Keen Senses, and Blindsense; as well as the standard traits of the dragon-type.

It does lack any form of detection for importing existing tables. Updated the original post with the tables. My hand hurts.

Is there a chance in hell you could unquote your dragon tables (or add them as a reply or PM) ?
I wish to add my own take on all dragons to my 3.5e overhaul and your tables could save my a whole lot of work.
