View Full Version : Stat-ing a character's death (making individual reapers)

For a new campaign I'm working on, I plan on having each character have a being that is essentially their death. Think grim reaper, but looks almost exactly like them, but probably with different stats. How should I proceed? The basis is that once they die, the reaper either escorts them or takes them by force to their afterlife. They all wield scythes, obviously. Any tips?

You can probably make some sort of 'Death' template that can be applied to any creature, so that the product of "Deegan" + "The Death Template" = "Deegan's Death."

My concept was that they would probably more likely be an entirely different class, just appear the same. That way you have the Scythe proficiency, and odds are they'd be the same level as their character.

Just make scythe proficiency a bonus feat of the template; applying a template would give the Grim Reaper the same amount of levels as the base creature, and all the same capabilities. They'd be fighting a mirror of themselves with Death powers.
