I'm trying to get back into writing my homebrew system (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=281582), and I'd like the final draft to include plenty of advice on how to be a good player or GM. What are some good topics to address? (I don't need the answers here; just the questions will do)

So far, I've got:

Character brainstorming
Worldbuilding
Encounter design
Campaign structuring

For players:

Something along the lines of the "Decide to React Differently" section from this (http://www.giantitp.com/articles/tll307KmEm4H9k6efFP.html) fantastic article by Rich.

For GMs:

The Three Clue Rule (written extensively about by the Alexandrian (http://thealexandrian.net/wordpress/1118/roleplaying-games/three-clue-rule))

A "Getting started" section for GMs is something many systems seem to miss. A simple, one or two pages long intro on what you need to GM a session.

Unless you're planning to publish, I wouldn't bother.
And unless you've gotten a bunch of people playtesting and giving feedback and interested in your game, I wouldn't bother to publish.

Cart before the horse and all that.

I do intent to publish, and I've gotten plenty of feedback and playtesting over the, oh, six drafts of the rules, both by real-life friends and the Playground.

Everyone else, thanks for the suggestions. Keep 'em coming!

Welp, anything else I say will end up sounding snide, so good luck.

I'm always pleasantly surprised when a game, especially one aimed at beginners, includes tips and tricks to handling everything around the game itself. Finding players and being a good host and/or participant when you do might seem like obvious things, but I still think it's worth putting a few paragraphs into if you have the space.
