So folks, the group I DM told me they have intentions of searching for psychoactive toads for licking. They wish to collect them and introduce them to the environment around the keep and town they are building. Problem is, I've never seen any stats for any. If need be I can homebrew something, but I feel like something like this may already exist.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Either a homebrew or 3.x source that has them would be lovely.

A toad with a EX confuse ability that acts like a poison? Ive never seen one of these before but i think it would be hysterical

The issue with a confusion effect is I don't imagine abusing the venom of psychoactive toads would cause you to attack yourself as much as have visions. I was thinking something along the lines of contact other plane or even phantasmal killer (assuming a bad trip) would be more appropriate.

You could always borrow from the dream serpent. It has venom that deals 1d6 wis/1d6 wis, and any creature that falls asleep after has bizarre vivid dreams. It also has a sleep gaze.

Interesting, where might I find the dream serpent?

The idea works, lets see if we can do something else (because confuson got shot down) using the core rules. (Also, I couldn't find a single Psychoactive Toad in dnd, so homebrew is our best bet)

Well here is a toad (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/animals/toad)...
Now lets find the best drug (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/afflictions/drugs) that has skin could contain. Bloodbrush Extract (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/afflictions/drugs/bloodbrush-extract) seems to be the best pick, it numbs the senses and evokes vivid hallucinations, heightened awareness, and altered thought processes. If you really want something more in tune with the planes, Dreamtime Tea (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/afflictions/drugs/dreamtime-tea) is your answer, it does make you unconscious but you can contact other planes.
As for the ability itself, to keep it as close as RAW as possible I present the Grippli (also a toad) Toxic Skin (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/uncommon-races/arg-grippli). Just change the wording a bit to make it a drug instead a poison and remove the ability to use the drug on weapons and we get:

Psychoactive Skin (Ex)
The Psychoactive Toad's skin is coated with a powerful drug. Whenever a creature hits the Psychoactive toad it with an unarmed strike or natural weapon the target must make a fortitude save or is inflicted with the drug. This effect can only happens once a hour, after which the skin needs to reproduce the drug. The toad is immune to its own ability.
[insert drug effects and DC here]

Just tag that ability to the normal Toad, pick your drug and tadaa: a "semi-homebrewed but fully using excising rules" Psychedelic Toad.

I'm the farthest thing from a Pathfinder expert, but I read through a friends PF adventure module that had a forest full of psychoactive moss or something. I can't remember the name though sorry. I'll txt him, might remember.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't notice this was Pathfinder. It's in Secrets of Xendrik, so I know there has to be some adaptation with the poison rules.
