Need help designing a Tainted Scholar character

Does anybody know a particularly good build for a character refocused towards the prestige class from Heroes of Horror, the Tainted Scholar? If so please post one or any good items that would help with any particularly good builds that do get posted on here.

There's not really much good advice here because Tainted Scholar is broken to all hell. Ask your DM if undead are immune to the negative effects of taint while still being able to benefit from the positive effects (I think so but I've seen arguments otherwise). If so, then become a necropolitan and get as high a casting stat as you want - spell DCs in the millions are possible. If not, then you should raise your stats to push your taint as high as possible.

As for build, well, there's not much point taking more than one or MAYBE two levels and then all other standard wizard advice applies - don't lost caster levels, prestige out (check the various handbooks for recommendations here).
