Level 1 focused specialist-Conjuror. Summoning is a standard action and summoned creature gets standard action as well. Since duration is 1 round, does it disappear right before Conjurer 's turn or does it get 1 more attack before going poof? If it gets an attack, to what ruling can I point my DM?

It disappears right before your next turn, so it only gets the one action at CL 1. I recommend looking for cheap ways of boosting CL. It really helps when you are using summoning at low levels. Spell Thematics works, and you can retrain it later.

they could still be useful before they disappear, they can still be used as flanking buddies for other PC's, and if appropriate could still get attacks of opportunity if the occasion arises

Thanks! Those are both exactly how I thought they would work. One of my players thought it should get a second attack, but then it's duration would have been just over 1 round.

New crazy question: is there a feat that gives +1 HD to a summoned creature?

the only thing I can think of off top of my head that adds hd to summoned creatures is the summoner variant in Mongoose Publishing's Quintessential Wizard but only for specific spells

Cosmic Descryer adds HD, but it's epic. There's also Inspire Greatness for 2-6 bonus HD, depending on the build of the bard in question.
