restoring a lichs philactery

Is there anyway to restore or recreate a philactery that has been destroyed?

my understanding is that the litch can make another one if he knows his original is destroyed.

Yeah, I generally have the lich know instinctively that it's been destroyed, and if they can survive long enough to make the new one, they can just shove their soul in there instead. While the lich has no phylactery, its' soul stays in its body, so it can be destroyed permanently. It won't have the ability to reform until the soul is safely hidden away from the body again.

I would also have the lich craft many, many backup containers for their soul, so the process of getting a new phylactery takes days rather than months.
