Here's my theory. The one thing about fighters that never changed is feat advantage. That is, nobody gets feats like a fighter gets feats. a human fighter without flaws/drawbacks (though that last one is a house rule) gets 22 feats in Pathfinder. Nobody can compare to that. Some get close (warpriest gets 17 as a human), but nothing actually equals the fighter. What is more, the class that gets the closest, Warpriest, doesn't count as a fighter (unlike Magus, Swashbuckler, Gunslinger, and Samurai, to name a few). But the fighter has barely anything good to take advantage of this fact. Weapon spec, greater weapon focus, improved weapon focus? Pft, nobody cares, those are super low end feats no matter how you slice it. Critical mastery? Sure, getting to apply two crit feats is cool, if you like that, but it could be better, hell, Crit feats could be better.

But Feats are what a fighter has. They are ALL he has, really. His other class features are fairly minor bonuses. Feats are what he has the most, and should have the best, of. But he doesn't. I have set out to create a series of Feats that are the kind of Feats a Fighter deserves. I appreciate all help and suggestions along the way.

Note for all feats relating to power attack: These feats will have versions for Deadly Aim and Piranha Strike. Until I get them written, just replace any mention of power attack with the correct alternative.

Note 2: All feats are treated as fighter combat Feats. I'll get the combat feat notation added in a bit.

Note for all feats relating to power attack: These feats will have versions for Deadly Aim and Piranha Strike. Until I get them written, just replace any mention of power attack with the correct alternative.

Improved Power Attack [Combat]
Prerequisites: Power Attack, fighter level 5th, str 15
Benefit: Whenever you use the power attack feat, add one more point of damage for each -1 you take to attack rolls. (for example, if you take - 2 to attack rolls, you would normally add 4 points of damage. With this feat that number becomes 6). These extra points are added before the power attack damage is increased for using it while wielding a weapon two-handed. (don’t multiply by 1.5 then add 2, resulting in 8, add 2, then multiply by 1.5, resulting in 9)

Greater Power Attack [Combat]
Prerequisites: Power Attack, Improved Power Attack, Fighter level 11, Str 17
Benefit: Whenever you use the power attack feat as part of a full attack, ignore half the attack penalties on all attacks except the first, rounded down. (A -3 becomes a -2, for example).

Power Attack Savant [Combat]
prerequisites: Power Attack, fighter level 5th
Treat your Hit dice as your base attack bonus to determine the penalties and bonuses gained as a result of using the power attack feat.

Power Attack Warrior [Combat]
Prerequisites: Power Attack, Improved Power Attack, Greater Power Attack, Fighter level 16, Str 18
Benefits: Whenever you use power attack, the total bonus dmg provided by the feat is doubled on the first attack roll each round. If the first attack misses, you do not gain the benefits of Power Attack Warrior.

Vital Power Strike [Combat]
Prerequisites: Power Attack, vital Strike, fighter level 9
Benefits: Whenever you use the Vital Strike feat or its improve or greater versions alongside power attack, add the bonus dmg from power attack to the attack a number of times equal to the number of additional dice added by Vital Strike or its improved or greater versions.

Critical Vital Strike [Combat]
Prerequisites: Vital Strike, fighter level 10
Benefit: The bonus dmg from vital strike and its improved and greater versions is multiplied on a critical hit.

Improved Dervish Dance [Combat]
Prerequisites: Dervish Dance, 4 ranks perform dance, fighter level 4
Benefits: When using a scimitar in one hand and nothing in the off hand, the scimitar counts as a light weapon for all feats and class features that require such (such as Piranha Strike). When wielded in two hands, you may still use your dexterity modifier in place of your str modifier for attacks and dmg with the scimitar, and this extra dmg is multiplied by 1.5.

Deflect Blow [Combat]
Prerequisites: Fighter Level 1st
When readying an attack against a charge, you deal double dmg (triple with a weapon that has the brace quality). You may use your atk roll from the readied attack in place of your AC against the triggering charge attack.

Improved Deflect blow [Combat]
Prerequisites: Deflect blow, Fighter level 5th
You may ready an attack action against a charge as an immediate action. You take a -2 on the attack roll unless your weapon has the Brace quality.

Greater Deflect Blow [Combat]
Prerequisites: Deflect blow, Improved Deflect Blow, fighter level 10
Benefit: You may treat any movement made by an opponent prior to attacking you in the same round as a charge, even if this movement is less than the minimum for a charge. This includes the opponent taking a 5ft step. If you use a weapon with the brace quality as part of any readied action against a charge, you gain a bonus on the atk roll equal to 1/4th your HD.

Improved Weapon Training [Combat]
Prerequisites: Weapon training class feature
Benefit: Double the numerical benefits provided by the weapon training class feature.

Greater Weapon Training [Combat]
Prerequisites: Weapon training class feature, Improved weapon Training, fighter level 13
Benefits: Triple the numerical benefits provided by the weapon training class feature on a critical hit or against a critical hit.

Combat Maneuver Focus [Combat]
Prerequisites: Any Improved combat Maneuver Feat (ex: Improved Trip)
Select an Improved Combat Maneuver Feat you possess. Double the numerical benefits provided by this feat and its greater version.
Special: You may take this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you select it, it applies to a different combat maneuver

Power Attack Mastery [Combat]
Prerequisites: Power Attack, Improved Power Attack, Greater Power Attack, Furious focus, fighter level 17, str 19
Benefit: Ignore all penalties from power attack on the first and second attacks of the round, (if the second attack of the round is an attack of opportunity, this feat still applies). The base dmg from power attack is increased by 50%(This is in addition to any bonus damage from wielding the weapon two handed, so it becomes 100% when wielding a two handed weapon, or 150% when using a two handed weapon with the two handed fighter special ability).

Resolution [Combat]
Fighter 1, Bravery Class feature
Apply the bonus to will saves from the bravery class feature to all charm and compulsion effects.

Feat stacking
Fighter 10, 2 combat feats that are part of the same tree (1 has the other as a prereq)
Whenever you have a feat that is part of a feat tree (vital strike, imp. vital strike, greater vital strike) you may have 3 feats that are part of that tree share 1 feat slot.
This is retroactive. Any open slots may be filled when this feat is taken.
You may not take more than 2 additional feats as part of a chain at any single level (so the next time you would gain a feat slot, you may gain a total of 3 feats at maximum, two of which will be part of existing feat slots)
Note: Identical feats (such as toughness) use separate slots.
This feat occupies two feat slots. You may leave a feat slot open at any given level while waiting to gain a second available feat slot to place this feat in. No other feats may be stacked into either of the two slots occupied by this feat.

Cursed Critical [Combat]
fighter level 13, must have suffered the effects of Bestow Curse or any minor spell blight, 5 ranks knowledge arcana or knowledge religion
Benefit: Select either Blighted Critical (if you suffered a spell blight) or Accursed Critical (if you suffered a Bestow Curse). You cannot select both. Treat your fighter level as your caster level, and ignore any spell prerequisites to take the associated critical feat. You may cast Bestow Curse as a Wizard of your level once a day with Accursed Critical if selected. Alternatively, if you selected Blighted Critical, you may inflict a spell blight once a day with that feat.

Improved Cursed Critical [Combat]
Fighter level 15, cursed critical, 5 ranks know arcana or 5 ranks know religion
You may use either Blighted Critical or Accursed critical (chosen with cursed critical) 3 times per day

Cursed Critical Mastery [Combat]
Fighter level 17, improved cursed critical, 10 ranks know arcana or knowledge religion
You may use either blighted critical or accursed critical (chosen with cursed critical) 5 times per day
Note this feat may be taken additional times, but each time add 2 levels to the required levels and 2 ranks to the knowledge skill of your choice. When taken it increases the number of times you may use cursed critical by 2.

True Fighter [Combat]
Prerequisites: Magus Fighter Training Class Feature
Treat your Magus level as your Fighter level for all feat and class prerequisites, instead of ½ your class level.

Charging Focus [Combat]
Prerequisites: Fighter level 1
You may gain an additional +2 bonus on charges or ignore the penalty to AC incurred as part of a charge.

Improved Charging Focus [Combat]
Prerequisites: Charging focus, Fighter level 5
You may make a full attack as part of a charge. You may move triple your speed as part of a charge, even in heavy armor.

Greater Charging focus: [Combat]
Prerequisites: Charging Focus, Improved Charging Focus, fighter 10th
Benefits: You gain an additional +2 on charge attacks. This stacks with the benefit of Charging Focus. You do not provoke attacks of opportunity from anyone except the target of your charge while charging, and you may move through squares occupied by allies unimpeded.

Ranged Weapon User [Combat]
Prerequisites: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot
Once per round, you do not provoke attacks of opportunity when attacking with ranged weapons.

Ranged Weapon Master [Combat]
Prerequisites: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Ranged Weapon User, fighter or Ranger level 10
Benefit: You never provoke attacks of opportunity as a result of attacking with ranged weapons.
