Looking for strange beasts...

In the upcoming monster competition I run monthly I'll be needing a pic of a creature that seems to be made up of other creatures, such as a griffon, chimerae, manticore, etc.

I don't actually want one of the above (unless its really really good), going for a more homebrew feel. Have searched DeviantArt, ElfWood and all, but not quite found one that piques my interest.

I want one thats vey well drawn, or at least so interesting you wouldn't mind it not being the best. Preferably something like to this in quality:

The below link has the grandest collection of beautifully rendered creature misfits the world has seen. If there isn't something to your taste or won't fit your project plans you can still be inspired by the wonderful imagery.

A weekly sketch group comprised of the next generation of concept artists using a pole system to see who gets the COW (creature of the week). There is some really excellent entries in that link, all with fleshed out information of their unique physiology.

The whole things like a test to see who can be the most insanely original.
