Ok, so I am thinking of building a Samurai (don't shoot me), and am wondering if there are ways to deal with pesky things that are immune to fear effects. Is it possible to make them... not immune? Please help.

Not really from the perspective of a Samurai, that's one of the principle weaknesses of that build. I would certainly look into the Singh Rager prestige class though from OA, since it allows you to use your fear effects on a charge, and gives you pounce, which is pretty snazzy. Also the DC on the Lion's Roar Kai shout thing is pretty insane at that point and can pretty much shut down those vulnerable to fear.

Hmm, would those negate a mindblank spell (which provides immunity to a large subset of fear) or just allow fear to bypass it?

If your DM will allow Pathfinder material, 3 levels of Dread (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/dread#TOC-Aura-of-Fear-Su-) gives you an aura that removes immunity to fear.

The Dead Levels (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cwc/20070227x) expanded ability for Samurai lets them ignore fear immunity. The Dread Witch PrC does the same thing if memory serves.

I heard of an alternative class feature from my friend that exists which basically makes your level 20 capstone, I blow a Kiai smite to make you unimmune to fear essentially. Don't know the name I'll ask him though.

Well it's notable that the Dead Levels thing only works on Paladins as written.
