I was thinking about starting a blog, but I have a few questions.
1. What are good sites to use?
2. I need help coming up with a name for it.
It is going to be a fictional story telling about my hunt for non real thigs, like mystical beasts or magical items and such. It will be written as though I was actually hunting/seeking these things.
Any name suggestions? Any site suggestions?

I think Blogspot is a popular site for this kind of blog. You might consider it. Alternatively, DeviantArt allows you to post written work, and you could just upload entries as episodes.

I use Wordpress for my Koala In The Kitchen blog. It's pretty straightforward to use - a lot more intuitive than tumblr.

I considered both of those. My biggest problem with wordpress is that every single freaking url is taken. Except for those uncommon ones. I'll probably end up using wordpress anyway. Many people consider it a great blogging site.

Now I just need to come up with a name/url for it.
Any suggestions?

What's the tone? Is this blog going to be humorous, satirical, epic? Knowing this would be a good way to start coming up with names.

It will be written mostly seriously, as though I were actually going on epic expiditions, but it will be clearly non real. I want it to have a name that does not make it sound as if it were a fictional story. There may or may not be humor or irony, I haven't written any yet.

Is there an underlying reason to go on these expeditions? Did the gods ask you to? Do you need them for your thesis? Treasure hunting?

The title could be used to refer to that.

Part family tradition, part treasure hunting.
