Well, he says 3.5, but his list includes more than a few 3.0 books as well.

IIRC only Dragonlance: Campaign Setting is official first party

Is "Dragon Magazine - 308-358" the same as the Dragon Magazine Compendium? I have over 10 gigs of D&D stuff, but am away from my laptop, so can't cross reference. I can say that there weren't any that jumped out at me as you not having, and even some that I am now going to have to track down!

This would be more useful if you also included publication dates, see here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=16617440&postcount=761), since these are used in some rules debates.

Also, there are on-line tools (http://dndtools.eu/rulebooks/) which list all of them.

Ok, well then, I don't see the Dragon Magazine Compendium on your list, if you are trying to round out your collection, snag it. I know a lot of DMs that don't allow specific issues of Dragon Mag, but allow the Compendium.

Not that I shouldn't but may I ask why I should include the publication dates? This is more of an "Is my collection complete guys/gals?" thread. I wouldn't mind doing it if it held some value though, just don't want to take the time if it's more of a preference deal.

Thanks for the links by the way, found out I didn't have The Fright at Tristor.

Because where two rules disagree the rule in the most recent publication has precedence.

It doesn't help that there were several versions of the PH including one without errata which was published after the Rules Compendium.

I only mentioned it because I was thinking about creating a similar thread which filled in the holes in my fist link.

You're missing the Book of Erotic Fantasy

The Book of Erotic Fantasy is third-party and unofficial.

You're missing the Book of Erotic Fantasy

Saw that on some list somewhere and decided that erotic fantasy wasn't something I'd want in a Dungeons and Dragons game, and if it did get brought up...my group would find a way to wing it.

BoEF should be on your wish list just for the metaphysical spellshaper Prc

theres also the Kingdom of Kalamar books, altho I think they are 3.0 books

and a lot of good 3rd party books if your looking to expand, mongoose publishing, green ronin, fantasy flight games and the Ravenloft books licensed to whitewolf

With a box

I wonder how much it would cost if we bought that all as soon as they published

Alright I'll go find it then.

I haven't heard of those, will go look into them.

I'm not really looking to expand out, just seeing how close to complete I am. I'm looking to stay more on the WotC side of things.

Would everyone say number of books times 40 USD?

Bullet06320

for most of the hard cover books, that sounds about right

I'd rather not do the math, I'm sure my wife doesn't want to know how much I've spent over the years building my library, lol

and don't forget all the web enhancements and articles available at WOTC websites buried in their archives

I wouldn't. I've never payed $40 for a book. You can find them for half that online, brand new, as soon as they came out. In my local gaming store, they were never full price. At least when I was still playing. That has been a few years ago. so it may have changed.

Though since prices vary, I would guess you would have to use the official, WotC suggested prices of the book. In that case, about 30-40 would be about right.

I paid £3 for my Miniatures Handbook — brand new — another £6.50 postage, but still.
