Hi there!

Wondering Idly if there is a way for a character to get Smite Evil as a combat option, without being a paladin.

Thanks!

Smite Optimization Handbook (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?185859-3-X-PF-Smite-Optimization)

The optimal non-Paladin option is Cleric with The Initiate of Bahamut feat and/or Ordained Champion prestige class.

Not quite Smite Evil, but Hellreaver (Fiendish Codex 2) gets a Holy Fury pool per combat where one of the options to spend fury on is:
At level 1: +2 attack +1d6 damage to evil creature
Level 4: +4 / +2d6
Level 7: +6 / +3d6
Level 10: +8 / +4d6
(They also get other abilities to spend HF on. (edit: e.g. Swift Action Healing, immediate action +saves or +AC, etc. Also they get Mettle.) It's actually a really neat class that I'd love to play one day)

Of note: this isn't a per-day thing, their Holy Fury refreshes per combat. And it can be refreshed mid-combat for the low low price of 2 con damage

I forgot the Nemesis feat, which if you can get Favored Enemy (Evil) totally works, and it also counts as a passive continuous detect evil in all directions as well.

It'ss looking like theres not a feat/spell for it that doesnt require some cleric/diety prereqs
