In the RAW thread, it was established that a Trip special attack could be done as part of a flurry. With Improved Trip, one gets an extra free attack after a successful trip. So, if an 11th level monk with 4 attacks in his flurry has Improved Trip and is surrounded by 4 foes, could he attempt a trip against each foe, and get a free attack with each successful trip, for a potential total of 8 attacks (4 trips, 4 for damage)? Is this RAW, RAI, hunky-dory, run of the mill?

Well, not exactly. Improved Trip gives you an extra attack against the target you just tripped. So you can't, for instance, trip a target, get a free attack, use that to trip another target, get a free attack, and repeat.

Yes. You would use one attack to make a trip attempt. If that trip is successful you would then make your free attack on that person. Rinse and repeat with the 3 other attacks in your flurry.
