Ok, so I am going to make a level 8 Cleric/something/RKV. I am wondering, which is better to do though SS or crusader?

The Swordsage recovery mechanic is hot garbage that you don't want to use PrCs to advance.
The Crusader recovery mechanic is free and advanced very well by PrCs.
RKV requires Crusader maneuvers anyway.

Crusader 100%.

Well, there is a feat that you can recover the maneuvers faster than crusader for SS, but I would also need to waste 2 feats to meet the prereqs for RKV. So 3 feats taken up before I can get RKV, or just do crusader. I only think of SS as an option because of their amazing maneuvers.

It's definitely not worth the feats to go Swordsage, and it's not worth taking Adaptive Style even if you did, since you can burn turn attempts to keep your maneuvers. The disciplines you get from RKV are great anyway, including Shadow Hand on top of the Crusader ones.

Ok, so how should I go into it then? Crusader 1/Cleric 4/RKV?

Cleric 4 / Crusader 1 / RKV gives you access to second level maneuvers on your Crusader level.

Well, I am level 8 right now, so it would be Cleric 4/Crusader 1/RKV 3. So that would be CL 6, and IL 6 right?

Yes, it would.
