Is there any sort of class feature or metamagic feat that allows for regular sorc/wiz arcane spells to overcome DR/-? I was looking at what I'd need for a joke "missilemancer" build where I just fire an absurd amount of metamagic m. missiles, but I realized 1d4+1 damage would do literally nothing to a lot of creatures with damage reduction.

DR does not apply (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#damageReduction) to spells.

Energy damage is not affected by DR.

It's more like kinem said. It's not just energy damage that isn't affected (Force isn't an energy type), but any sort of spell. This includes other things that aren't energy like the "divine power" damage of flame strike or the dessication damage from wither.

More controversially, DR doesn't even apply to spells that do physical damage like hail of stone inflicting bludgeoning.

If a creature has hardness however, that will apply.
