So let's say I have one item that's extremely important to my character. I need to protect it.

Could I pay double to have it be a slotless item, then swallow it, drug-mule style? Would it still work? Would it be protected from things like disjunction, or a targeted dispel magic?

This is the summarized post, because iTouch is laggy.

It might work. Mostly depends on DM.
Also depends on the item's function.

It would be untargetable, so no disjunction.
Area Dispel would probably work.

You'd have to deal with it coming out the other end, though. A good DM would probably give you a save against disease if you try searching your feces.

An item that embeds itself in your digestive tract would be much, much more expensive. You're probably be better off attaching it to another item, or making it a graft of some sort.
