A question regarding forum speeds

My apologies in advance that this question probably crops up periodically.

Has the new interface slowed the forum or sped it up or neither? I mean I understand that the search feature, and latest posts display is an added strain convenient as it may be, but I am plagued with that inkling curiosity with regards to the new layout itself.

Every feature that we ever disabled, including search, and more features provided by the new software are currently enabled and the site is working swimmingly. So, sped up.
